Virat Kohli who rose to the zenith of Indian cricket picked up the 2nd Under-19 World Cup for the country. The Kohli led team which had the likes of Ravindra Jadeja and Manish Pandey defeated South Africa.
The Indian team was bowled out for 159, however the bowlers presented a match winning performance restricting Proteas to 103-8 in a match interrupted game in Kuala Lumpur.

It was a record equalling third title for the Indian colts. Unmukt Chand led India brought down the defending champions and 3 time winners Australians by 6 wickets in Queensland. Due to the pandemic, all domestic tournaments were canceled in the last two years and this young side only got the chance to play Asia Cup for match practice.
