After much anticipation, the makers of Sanjay Dutt and late Rajiv Kapoor starrer sports drama 'Toolsidas Junior' unveiled its trailer on Saturday. The film also features child actor Varun Buddhadev and is slated to release in theatres on March 4, 2022.
The trailer introduces Rajiv as Toolsidas, an ace snooker player who proudly proclaims that he 'only plays for his son'. We see glimpses of his cueing prowess and his son's activities, including the titular Toolsidas Junior (played by Varun). However, after Toolsidas loses in a tournament to his arch-rival, his son decides to fulfil his father's dream. For this, he enlists the help of a former snooker champion Mohammad Salam (Sanjay). 
For the unversed, 'Toolsidas Junior' was the comeback of filmmaker Raj Kapoor's youngest son Rajiv Kapoor to screen 30 years after his 1990 movie Zimmedaaar. The movie is Rajiv Kapoor's last film before his demise.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashutosh Gowariker and Sunita Gowariker, the film is written and directed by Mridul. The movie went on the floors in 2018.

‘Toolsidas Junior’ was to mark his comeback to acting after three decades and the shoot was wrapped up shortly before his demise.
The event was attended by the members of Kapoor family – Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain, Rima Jain, Kunal Kapoor among others.
While Ranbir was seen dressed in a navy T-shirt and blue jeans with black-framed glasses, his mother Neetu donned black top with grey harem pants.
Rajiv’s elder brother Randhir Kapoor also attended the screening and was seen posing for the camera.
But what caught fans’ attention was when Ranbir  was making his way out of the theatre, a paparazzi jokingly told him, 'Bye RK, shaadi mein milte hain (see you at the wedding)'. To this, Ranbir immediately asked, 'kiski (whose wedding)', and left the theatre. However, the paparazzi yelled, 'Luv Ranjan sir ki'.
Filmmaker Luv Ranjan is all set to get married to his long-time girlfriend on February 20.
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor has been dating Alia Bhatt since 2018, and fans are expecting them to announce their nuptials soon.
