Amid this, a video is garnering massive attention where The Simpsons showed scenes similar to what people are posting online of virtual reality headsets taking over society in an episode that was released in 2016 titled 'Friends and Family.'
In the viral episode, the residents of &nbsp;Springfield become addicted to the new technology after Mr Burns hires the Simpsons family to play his virtual reality family.
As internet users saw that video, they reacted to it by saying, 'The Simpsons strike again.' While others reacted to it by saying that this is the reason why they still continue to watch 'The Simpsons.'
Several social media users also shared hilarious memes and said that this is Black Mirror 2.0.&nbsp;

He shared a still from episode 12 of the 26th season which was titled &lsquo;The Musk Who Fell to Earth&rsquo;. It featured a cameo by him and showed him helping the show&rsquo;s protagonist Homer Simpson revolutionise the nuclear power plant in Springfield. It also hinted at Musk &lsquo;changing a birdhouse&rsquo;. For those unaware, Twitter is often attributed to as a bird app due to its name and logo.
