After Kartik Aaryan was spotted with Tara Sutaria at a restuarant in Mumbai, speculations were rife that director Anurag Basu has roped her in for the movie 'Aashiqui 3'.
Now, Basu has debunked the rumors linking Tara Sutaria to the project.
Anurag Basu clarified that no female lead has been finalized for the film and termed all speculations 'baseless'.
The Aashiqui franchise, renowned for its romantic allure, witnessed immense success with the first two installments in 1990 and 2013.
Despite many ongoing rumours, the production team has not made any official announcements regarding the cast, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the unveiling of the lead actress for the highly anticipated Aashiqui 3.

Describing her character, Sutaria revealed that she portrays an ordinary girl whose courage leads her on a compelling journey, labeling it as the role of a lifetime.
Tara said, &lsquo;I am immensely grateful for the strong characters I have had the privilege to portray in my career thus far. However, the most powerful character I have encountered is in my upcoming film titled Apurva. This film marks my first opportunity as the sole lead, which is incredibly exciting for a young actress like myself. I am fortunate to have been entrusted with the role of a girl who displays immense self-determination. Apurva is a survival drama that tells a gripping tale, unlike anything I have done before and something that is uncommon in the industry.&rsquo;
The survival thriller is directed by filmmaker Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. The movie is set to be released on Disney+Hotstar on November 15th.

Over the course of my career, I have been photographed and filmed by many talented men. A woman&rsquo;s gaze though is different.'&nbsp;
She also appreciated her photographer for the shot and added, 'This series of pictures was shot by young photographer @tanyyaa.a_ in the comfort of my home. Along with Tiger and Tara&rsquo;s intriguing posters, there is also a poster that has Nawazuddin Siddiqui&rsquo;s character Laila, which has also been unveiled.&nbsp;Nawazuddin Siddiqui&rsquo;s character in the poster shows off his swag. From the looks of it, it seems that, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to shock the audience with his never-before look in the film.
The trailer of the film will release on Thursday, March 17.
