Lata Mangeshkar (28 September 1929 &ndash; 06 February 2022)
Also known as the 'Queen of Melody' and the 'Indian Nightingale', the singer died on February 6 from multiple organ failure syndrome. She was 92. The legacy of the singer is truly unmatchable. <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/lata-mangeshkar-passes-away-here-is-the-list-of-awards-won-by-the-the-nightingale-of-india-1644123316455">Lata ji</a> received numerous accolades throughout her career and was awarded the highest civilian award of India, the Bharat Ratna.
Bappi Lahiri (27 November 1952 &ndash; 15 February 2022)
Bappi Da, an Indian singer, composer, and record producer, passed away on February 15 in Mumbai at the age of 69 due to obstructive sleep apnea. The late singer got us all grooving to his hit disco numbers like &lsquo;Chalte Chalte&rsquo;, &lsquo;Disco Dancer&rsquo;, and &lsquo;Oh La La&rsquo; among others.
KK (23 August 1968 &ndash; 31 May 2022)
Iconic playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, passed away on May 31 at the age of 53. He died of heart attack hours after a live music event at Nazrul Mancha auditorium in Kolkata. Some of his most memorable songs include, &lsquo;Yaaron dosti&rsquo; (Pal, 1999) and &lsquo;Tadap tadap ke&rsquo; (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, 1999)
Raju Srivastav (25 December 1963 &ndash; 21 September 2022)
Raju Srivastav, one of the most famous comedians of the modern era, passed away on September 21 at AIIMS, Delhi. He was hospitalised for over a month after he collapsed following a cardiac arrest on August 10. He became a household name with the show Laughter Challenge and he was known popularly by his stage name Gajodhar Bhaiya.
Sidhu Moose Wala (11 June 1993 &ndash; 29 May 2022)
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, was a musician, rapper, and songwriter. He was best known for his work in Punjabi music and cinema. He was considered as one of the biggest rising names in the pop industry. He was killed on May 29 in Jawaharke village in Mansa district.
Pandit Birju Maharaj (4 February 1938 &ndash; 16 January 2022)
Pandit Birju Maharaj, a celebrated Kathak dancer, composer and singer, died at the age of 83 at his home in Delhi on January 17 after suffering a heart attack. He was a recipient of the country's second-highest civilian award, Padma Vibhushan, and was fondly called Pandit-ji or Maharaj-ji by his disciples. He has composed and choreographed some of the most iconic songs in the industry like 'Kahe Chhed Mohe' from 'Devdas', 'Mohe Rang Do Laal' from 'Bajirao Mastani' among others

Tabassum, veteran actor and host of popular Doordarshan talk show &lsquo;Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan&rsquo;, died after suffering a cardiac arrest on November 18. She was 78.

Amitabh Bachchan penned down a note remembering popular actor and Television show host Tabassum and his friend and veteran actor Vikram Gokhale. He wrote the &lsquo;days are lined with sadness&rsquo; as they all &lsquo;played their parts and left the stage empty.' Tabassum passed away on November 19 due to cardiac arrest and Vikram Gokhale died on Saturday after multiple organ failure.
Amitabh remembered Vikram Gokhale, Tabassum and other artist friends in his blog on Sunday. He wrote, &lsquo;the days are lined with sadness... friends and colleagues... artists of huge merit, leave us day by day... and we listen see and pray... Tabassum... Vikram Gokhale and some dear ones that are close and known&hellip; they came to us in our lives... they played their parts and left the stage empty forlorn and desolate by their absence&hellip;&rsquo;
Vikram Gokhale was 77. He died in a Pune hospital where he was undergoing treatment. Amitabh worked with him in Agneepath (1990) and Khuda Gawah (1992). The two were also seen in Marathi film &lsquo;AB Ani CD.&rsquo; They played childhood friends in the film.
Tabassum was known for her roles as a child in several Hindi classics such as Baiju Bawra and Mughal-e-Azam. She also hosted popular Doordarshan talk show Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan. She died last week. She was 78.
Big B had earlier talked Tabassum in a blog post. He wrote, &lsquo;&hellip;they all leave us one by one... and it is beyond comprehension... you only recollect the times of their presence and life before the eyes and the mind... and they ever remain an image of the time... unchanged, unfettered and in the freedom of free... and then they leave, and it cannot be fathomed.&rsquo;

The prayer meeting of veteran actor Tabassum Govil was held in Mumbai on Monday, November 21. Moushumi Chatterjee, Farah Khan, Jaaved Jaaferi, and Alka Yagnik were among the many celebrities who arrived to pay tribute to her.

Tabassum made her debut in the industry as a child artist in 1947. She appeared in several films and TV shows. She was best known for hosting the celebrity talk show &lsquo;Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan&rsquo; from 1972 to 1993 on Doordarshan. Tabassum was also the editor of a Hindi magazine.
Tabassum was married to Vijay Govil. They have a son, Hoshang Govil who is also an actor.

Veteran actor Tabassum Govil, the host of popular Doordarshan talk show &lsquo;Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan&rsquo;, has died after suffering a heart attack. The 78-year-old actor was also known for her acting as a child artiste in many films. &nbsp;
Tabassum&rsquo;s son Hoshang Govil told PTI, &rsquo;Few days ago, she was admitted to a hospital. She had gastro problem and we went there for check-up. She suffered two cardiac attacks at 8.40 pm and 8.42 pm. She passed away peacefully on Friday night.&rsquo;&nbsp; After the news of Tabassum's demise broke, many celebrities took to social media to pay tribute to the actor.
Karan Johar, whose famous chat show &lsquo;Koffee With Karan&rsquo; inspired by Tabassum&rsquo;s chat show mourned the actor&rsquo;s demise. He told ETimes, &lsquo;She is an icon for me from my childhood. Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan was the first chat show that I ever saw. It had me mesmerized. I would wait patiently by my black and white TV set to watch the enigmatic Tabassum ji with her signature red rose beautifully completing her look and aura. When my father asked me what do I want to become when I grow up, I said I want to become Tabassum.&rsquo; &lsquo;She will always be such a strong emotional memory for me&hellip; and an inspiration... my thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones, the filmmaker added.
Twinkle Khanna took to Instagram and shared an illustration of the veteran actor along with a note that read, &lsquo;She was truly a legend. As a child I used to watch Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan with Tabassum ji as its spectacular host. I don't remember her guests. Just her. With her nasal twang and the rose tucked behind her ear. All these blurry recollections wrapped around me like cashmere layers on a winter morning. May she rest in peace.'
Film director Madhur Bhandarkar wrote on Twitter, &lsquo;Sad to hear the demise of Veteran Actress &amp; Anchor Tabassum ji. As a kid we used to watch her famous show on @DDNational Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan. My heartfelt condolences to her Family Members &amp; Admirers. #OmShanti.&rsquo;
Actor Ranvir Shorey tweeted, &lsquo;Oh no. Another invaluable piece of my childhood gone! &lsquo;Phool Khile Hain Gulshan-Gulshan&rsquo; is the first celebrity chat show I remember, and the affable Tabassum ji was always such a delight to watch. May her soul rest in peace.&rsquo;

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit too remembered the actor and wrote, &lsquo;No words can do justice to your voice &amp; ever smiling personality. Never saw her sad. Always full of positive energies which she used to spread around. Will miss you #Tabassum ji. A great loss to d film &amp; tv industry. Heartfelt condolences to the family. ॐ शान्ति !&rsquo;
Tabassum&rsquo;s prayer meet to be held on November 21 in Mumbai&rsquo;s Santacruz and many big celebrities are expected to attend the same.&nbsp;
