Italy secured their spot with a strong performance in the European Qualifiers earlier this month. The draw for the World Cup in India and Sri Lanka is yet to be finalized.
&ldquo;Reaching your first World Cup, you want to be in the spotlight," Burns expressed to ICC Digital. "Facing India in the initial match would be an incredible experience.&rdquo;
Burns is keen on playing against top teams like Australia and England, wanting to &ldquo;jump in at the deep end&rdquo; to test their mettle.
Qualifying for the tournament feels &ldquo;surreal&rdquo; to him, with much planning dedicated to cricket, providing satisfaction from their efforts.
The qualification journey has been an emotional experience for both Burns and the team. They held week-long training camps in Rome and the UK. During the first day in Rome, Burns told the team, &ldquo;Regardless of whether it&rsquo;s Luxembourg in the Sub-Regional game or India in a World Cup Final, I want us to be the most prepared team in world cricket.&rdquo;

Batting first, the Monank Patel-led side started brilliantly scoring a 51-run opening stand in just five overs. But the team failed to make it big as they were bundled out for 138 runs. The Dutch side easily chased down the target in just 19 overs.
On the other hand, Zimbabwe got the better of PNG to qualify for the T20 World Cup. The hosts, Zimbabwe chose to bat first and scored 199. The visitors fell short of the 200-run target and lost the match by 27 runs which paved the way for the African side to get into the World Cup.
With the two teams qualifying for the tournament, all 16 teams in the World Cup are now confirmed. Earlier, Ireland and UAE had confirmed their places in Qualifier A.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe got the better of PNG to qualify for the T20 World Cup. The hosts, Zimbabwe chose to bat first and scored 199. The visitors fell short of the 200-run target and lost the match by 27 runs which paved the way for the African side to get into the World Cup.

Having won back-to-back matches against England, India have taken an unaccessible 2-0 lead in the ongoing 3-match T20I series against the Three Lions. After India's win in the 2nd T20I, Pakistan's former cricketer Shahid Afridi heaped praise on team India saying that the Rohit-led side will be the favourites to win the upcoming T20I World Cup.
The 42-year-old former Pakistani skipper took to his Twitter to laud the Indian team and said that India have played outstanding cricket and deserve to win the series.
Earlier, India set a target of 171 runs for the hosts. With the heroic bowling performances from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal, the visitors bundled them out for 121 in 17 overs.

New Zealand on Tuesday announced that they will host India just 4 days after the T20 World Cup in 3 T20Is and as many ODIs. 
Wellington, Tauranga and Napier cities of New Zealand will host the three T20Is starting on November 18 while the three ODIs will be played from November 25 to 30 in Auckland, Hamilton, and Christchurch.
Notably, New Zealand toured India last year just after the T20 World Cup.
New Zealand also announced that they will host Pakistan and Bangladesh in a tri-series ahead of the T20 World Cup and next year they will play against England in two Tests and Srilanka in two Tests, 3 ODIs and as many T20Is.

New Zealand on Tuesday announced that they will host India just 4 days after the T20 World Cup in Australia.&nbsp;
Rohit Sharma's men will play 3 T20Is and as many ODIs post the showpiece event Down Under.
Wellington, Tauranga and Napier will host the three T20Is starting on November 18 while the three ODIs will be played from November 25 to 30 in Auckland, Hamilton, and Christchurch.
Notably, New Zealand toured India last year after the T20 World Cup in UAE.

Indian allrounder Hardik Pandya has recently made his India return in the ongoing T20I series against South Africa. Pandya was also made the skipper for the 2-match T20I series against Ireland starting at the end of this month. 
Former South African cricketer Graeme Smith believes that Pandya will be a part of India XI in T20 World Cup and will bring his leadership element to the tournament. 
Smith told cricket.com that he thinks that Pandya will walk into the playing XI for T20 WC but he has still work to do on his bowling. Rohit will need to adapt, how to use the allrounder at various times.
Notably, Gujarat Titans skipper Pandya was the highest run scorer for his team in this year's IPL with 487 runs and he also took 8 wickets.
Smith further added that the 28-year-old allrounder will bring the leadership element and his good decision-making element to the WC. Pandya will contribute as a sixth bowler in the tournament, said the former Proteas player.

Indian allrounder cricketer Hardik Pandya led the Gujarat Titans to lift the IPL 2022 trophy in their debut season. After an amazing IPL season, he was selected in India's squad for the 5- matches T20I home series against South Africa. 
The decision to take Hardik into the squad fared well for India as he scored 31 off just 12 balls in the first T20I.

Indian allrounder Hardik Pandya who led the Gujarat Titans to win&nbsp; IPL 2022 in their debut season and was rewarded with an India call-up for the&nbsp; 5-match T20I home series against South Africa.
In a video posted by the BCCI, Pandya, who was made vice-captain for the India-SA T20I series, spoke about his struggles with injury in the past. Pandya explained that most people are not aware of the sacrifices he has made in the last 6 months.
Pandya added that he was waking up at 5 in the morning to train and was sleeping at 9:30 in the night for four successive months after the T20 world cup, said Pandya.
As a result, the celebrated all-rounder made a stunning comeback and was the star performer for the Gujarat Titans.
