Ireland pacer Curtis Campher did the impossible as he took five wickets in five balls during a match between Munster Reds against North West Warriors in a Cricket Ireland Inter-Provincial T20 Trophy match at the Pembroke Cricket Club, Sandymount, Dublin.
Campher is playing for the Reds, who won the toss and chose to bat first. They put up a huge total of 188 on the board. Campher was their top scorer with the bat with a knock of 44 in just 24 balls. The 26-year-old is also the captain of their side.
With the Warriors' struggling at 78-5 after 11 overs, Campher came onto bowl his second over on the day. He all but ensured a victory for his side by getting two wickets on the final two balls of the delivery by dismissing Jared Wilson and Graham Hume for a duck. Later, the Munsters' skipper took the ball again in the 13th over and completed his hat-trick on the first ball by getting the wicket of Andy Mcbrine for 29. However, the right-handed pacer did not stop there and made it four in four balls by getting the scalp of Robie Miler (0 Of 1) on the next ball. Post that, Campher ended the game as the Warriors were bowled out for 88, as Josh Wilson also departed for a golden duck as the Munsters completed a stunning 100-run win.

Campher etched his name in the history books as this spell marked the first-ever instance of a bowler taking five wickets in as many balls in men's T20I cricket at any level. Never has this happened before in either an international, domestic, or franchise league game in the shortest format of the game.
Campher finished with figures of 5-16 in 2.2 overs and was awarded the Player of the Match (POTM) award. It is worth noting that the Irish star is one of just six bowlers in history to take four wickets in four balls in a T20I match, having achieved the feat during a 2021 T20 World Cup clash against Netherlands in 2021 at Abu Dhabi.

Meanwhile New Zealand's opening pair of Tim Seifert and Finn Allen, and new-ball bowler Jacob Duffy have made huge gains in the player rankings after helping their team to a 2-0 lead against Pakistan in the five-match T20I series.
Seifert and Allen got fine opening stands in both matches, the highlight being a 66-run blitz in the second match in Dunedin, in which seven of the first eight scoring shots of the innings were sixers as New Zealand chased a target of 136 with 11 balls to spare and five wickets in hand.
Sifert, who smashed 44 off 29 in the first match in Christchurch and 45 off 22 in the second, has progressed 20 slots to 13th position while Allen has moved up eight spots to 18th position with contributions of 29 not out off 17 and 38 off 16.
Duffy, who has picked six wickets in the two matches including a career-best haul of four for 14 in the first match that New Zealand won by nine wickets with almost 10 overs to spare, has advanced 23 slots to a career-best 12th position.

News organisation NDTV reported that parts of the stadium are currently without electricity just hours before the crucial match. The reason behind this unusual situation is an unpaid electricity bill dating back to 2009, amounting to a staggering ₹3.16 crore.
The stadium's electricity connection was severed five years ago due to the outstanding bill, prompting the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association to secure a temporary connection, stated the report.&nbsp; However, this temporary arrangement only covers the spectators' gallery and boxes, leaving the floodlights during the match reliant on generators.
Raipur Rural Circle in-charge, Ashok Khandelwal, revealed that the Cricket Association has applied to upgrade the temporary connection's capacity from 200 KV to 1 thousand KV. While the application has been approved, work on the upgrade is yet to commence.
The stadium's electricity bill dilemma came to light in 2018 when athletes participating in a half-marathon discovered a lack of electricity supply.
Responsibility for the unpaid power bill has become a point of contention between the Public Works Department (PWD), responsible for stadium maintenance, and the Sports Department, handling remaining expenses.
Multiple notice, No action&nbsp;
Despite receiving multiple notices from the electricity company, neither the PWD nor the Sports Department has made any payments. Since the power connection was cut in 2018, the stadium has hosted three international cricket matches, relying on generators for electricity during significant events.
Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh media coordinator, Tarunesh Singh Parihar, expressed scepticism about hosting future international matches due to the persistent issue.
He highlighted the use of generators as an alternative arrangement for significant matches, emphasising the uncertainty surrounding the outstanding electricity bill for stadium lights.

The first two T20Is in the series were both low-scoring affairs, with captain Hardik Pandya questioning the quality of the pitches. Pandya, in fact, had deemed the Lucknow pitch a 'shocker' of a wicket that led to the sacking of the curator at the Ekana Stadium.
But Ahmedabad usually produces good pitches and Hardik's men will be looking for yet another bilateral series win when the two sides faceoff on Wednesday.

The West Indian batter made history by smashing an unbeaten 205 off just 77 deliveries for Atlatnta Fire in the Atlanta Open 2022 League. With 22 sixes and 17 fours Cornwall had a strike rate of over 266. His knock powered his side to 326.
However, it's not the first time that the world witnessed a double hundred in the shortest format of the game. Delhi’s Subodh Bhati became the first player to score a double century in a club T20 game in 2021.

Suyakumar Yadav who in recent months has emerged as the most crucial cog in the Indian team's machinery on Sunday morning analysed the unknown Australian conditions ahead of the much-awaited T20 World Cup. 
The prolific T20 batter who is ranked 2nd in the shortest format of the game spoke about his first practice session in Australia in a video posted by BCCI on their Twitter account. 
The first net session was also amazing. Just wanted to feel how the pace of the wicket is, how the bounce is, he said. 
Further speaking about the net session, the 32-year-old said, 'At the time of the practice, I feel, the bounce on the wicket, the pace of the wicket and people talk about ground dimensions in Australia.'
SKY opened up about the atmosphere, the excitement, and his game plan in Australian conditions heading into the marquee event which begins on 16th October. 'There were butterflies and there was excitement, at the same time, you also need to see how you bring yourself into this atmosphere. I am excited but at the same time, it is important to follow your routines, he told BCCI.

Babar Azam became Pakistan's first batter to reach the 3000-run mark in T20Is.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam became the joint-quickest player alongside Virat Kohli to reach the 3000-run milestone in T20Is.
He is now the fifth men's player to complete this feat and the eighth player overall.
With his scintillating knock of 87* (59) in the 6th T20I against England, he became the first Pakistani batter to enter the 3000-run club in T20Is.
Babar reached the 3000-run mark in 81 innings, equalling Virat Kohli who reached the milestone in the exact same amount of innings. They are the only two players to have achieved the feat in less than 100 innings.
Babar's brilliant knock however couldn't help his team win their match as England won the game by 8 wickets to force a decider in the 7-match series.
