 More than 5,000 residents will vacate Emerald Court and ATS Village societies and over 2,500 vehicles will be removed from there on August 28 - the day of demolition for Supertech's illegal twin towers in Noida, officials said.
While the twin towers had come up on premises of Emerald Court only, ATS Village is adjoining the illegal structures on the other side in Sector 93A of the city.
The impact of the demolition of the nearly 100 metre tall twin towers would be maximum on these two societies and its residents, the officials said.
In pursuance of a Supreme Court order that found the twin towers illegal, they are scheduled to be demolished at 2.30 pm on August 28 by controlled implosion technique.
Over 3,500 kg of explosives will be used to raze them, according to officials of the demolition firm Edifice Engineering.
According to the evacuation plan, finalised on Thursday, the residents of Emerald Court and ATS Village will have to vacate the premises by 7.30 am on August 28 and can return after 4 pm only with safety clearance from Edifice.
All vehicles will have to be removed from the two societies as well for the period, the plan stated.
"There are approximately 650 flats in Emerald Court and 450 flats in ATS Village. Both societies have a combined number of residents over 5,000 who will be required to move out as per schedule on August 28," a Noida Authority official said.
"As for the removal of vehicles, several residents have more than one vehicle. There are around 1,200 vehicles in Emerald Court and 1,500 vehicles in ATS Village that will have to be moved outside. The Noida Authority will provide space for them in the multilevel parking facility at Botanical Garden metro station," the official said.
The multi-level parking at Botanical Garden Metro station can easily accommodate more than 5,000 vehicles at a time, according to the official.
Entry of people, vehicles and animals will be restricted in the close proximity area -- known as exclusion zone -- of the twin towers in Sector 93A, the plan stated.
The Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, which is close to the twin towers, will remain shut for vehicular movement from 2.15 pm to 2.45 pm on August 28, it showed.
Fire tenders, ambulances, etc, required for emergency services, shall be parked on the road constructed behind the park in front of the twin towers, it added.

Meena Plaza demolition
This demolition not only changed UAE’s skyline, but set a world record. 
Meena Plaza–  the 168.5 metre building in Abu Dhabi was razed using a controlled explosion in 10 seconds. The tearing down of the huge skyscraper left tonnes of rubble and filled the sky with dust. 6000 kgs of explosives were used to pave the way for a redevelopment plan at the Meena Plaza site. 
J. L. Hudson Department Store demolition
Situated in Michigan, US, the J. L. Hudson building was a department store that stood at 134 metres of height. The construction of the 29-storey building was completed in 1911. The building was closed in January 1983. The skyscraper was demolished in an implosion on October 24, 1998. It was the tallest building to be razed during that time. The Hudson’s held record for being the Second tallest building to have a controlled implosion, tallest until the unfinished Meena Plaza in Abu Dhabi was imploded in 2020. 
Landmark Tower demolition
Landmark tower located in Texas USA, was a 120 metre tall building in Fort Worth. The tower was the tallest skyscraper in the city back in 1957 when it was thrown open to the public. It also had the world's largest revolving digital clock on top of it. The building was abandoned in 1990 and the tower stood vacant for almost 15 years. In 2000, it was battered by a tornado. 6 years later, the structure was demolished in a controlled explosion on March 18. 
Jinhua Building demolition
Located in China’s Xian city, Junhua building was blasted in November 2015 in a controlled explosion. Nestled in the heart of high-tech zone of the city, the 118-metre-tall building was knocked down to build a new structure at the site. Around 1.4 tons of explosives were used to blow up the building. The building has been left vacant by its owners since 1999. Also known as the golden flower, the Jinhua building was the tallest skyscraper in China till it was demolished. 
AfE-Turm demolition
The 116-metre building in Frankfurt, Germany was a part of the campus of Goethe University. The AfE building was the tallest building to be razed using a controlled explosion in Europe. The demolition finally happened in 2014.

Supertech Twin Tower Demolition : The rigging of both the illegal towers of Supertech in Noida with around 3,700 kgs of explosives has been completed for their scheduled demolition on August 28, officials said.
The charging process &ndash; placing of explosives &ndash; was completed on Monday evening and the next procedure, known as trunking, will start on Tuesday, they said.
A total of 40 people, including blasters and trained workers, had started charging the Ceyane (29 storeys) and Apex (32 storeys) towers together on August 13, according to an official of Edifice Engineering, the firm hired to demolish the twin towers.
Later, the team focused on Ceyane alone and completed its charging by August 17 and then moved to Apex, where the work was completed on Monday, the official said.
&ldquo;We had made a schedule to complete the charging process by August 26. We had kept a buffer period for ourselves in order to make sure that the work gets completed in any case well before the scheduled demolition at 2.30 pm on August 28,&rdquo; the Edifice official said.
"Now that the charging is complete, the next work is to connect all explosives together and then recheck these 20,000 connections in both the towers. After that is done, a main connection with the detonator will be made on the day of demolition only," the official added.
Of the 40 workers present at site for charging, only 10 would remain on August 28.

A bench of Justices D Y Chandrachud and AS Bopanna granted a "bandwidth" of one week from August 29 to September 4 to the agencies engaged in the demolishing exercise of the twin towers on grounds that there may be some marginal delay in razing the huge buildings due to technical and weather conditions.
The top court also asked agencies concerned, including the management of Supertech, to cooperate with the agencies engaged in the demolition exercise.
On August 31 last year, the top court had ordered the demolition of the towers under construction within three months for violation of building norms in "collusion” with NOIDA officials, holding that illegal construction has to be dealt with strictly to ensure compliance of the rule of law.

 We'll be able to tell you after going to the lower levels. When the site is declared all-clear, we'll go down. Once the technical team gives clearance. Then we'll come out and give you information. Analysis will take a week's time. Technical team will stay there the entire day today and tomorrow. Then we'll go back&nbsp;to office, sit and analyse quantity of explosives. The entire exercise will take around 10 days.

 How can air pressure be controlled, you tell me. It can't be done. That will create dust. When one slab falls on top of another, air will be expelled, that will create dust.
 REPORTER: There's a gas pipeline also.
 There's no problem regarding the gas pipeline. We've ordered evacuation in a 250 m radius. So human casualties or injuries are impossible. Damage is possible in nearby buildings. That is called collateral damage. Insurance cover will be provided for that.
