Some persons allegedly involved in the incident had gone to a meat shop. An argument broke out between the customers and the store owner. At least 2 persons were injured in the subsequent stone pelting.

Andhra Pradesh's transport minister P Viswarup's house was set on fire Tuesday over his district renaming proposal.
A mob of angry protestors set the house ablaze in Amalapuram town along with a police vehicle and an educational institute's bus being also charred.
Viswarup and his family were moved to safety by the police.

The district was carved out of erstwhile East Godavari on April 4, and last week the state government proposed renaming it to BR Ambedkar Konaseema district.
A group named Konaseema Sadhana Samiti opposed the move, and planned on submitting a memorandum to the district collector on May 24. Police tried to stop the protest and resorted to lathi-charge, which led to arson and vandalism.
Andhra Home Minister Taneti Vanitha accused some political parties and anti-social elements for instigating violence which injured over 20 police personnel.

Violence broke out between the youth and Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday in several districts of the state, after Eid prayers. Reports say the youth were chanting pro-freedom and anti-India slogans, which triggered the clashes. Some masked youth reportedly unfurled Pakistan and ISIS flags, following which police had to use teargas shells to disperse the protesters, who in turn resorted to stone pelting. Violence was reported in downtown Srinagar, Pulwama, Sopore, Baramulla and other areas of the Valley.
