India's Women's World Cup-winning hero Jemimah Rodrigues will miss the remaining WBBL season in Australia after she decided to stay back in India to support her national team-mate Smriti Mandhana whose wedding got postponed.
Jemimah had returned a few days back to attend Mandhana's wedding and was scheduled to fly back to complete her Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) assignment for Brisbane Heat. But Mandhana's father took ill on the eve of the wedding and the ceremony got postponed. Jemimah then decided to be by Mandhana's side to support her.
"The Brisbane Heat have agreed to a request to release Jemimah Rodrigues from the remainder of the Women's Big Bash League," said Brisbane Heat in a statement.
"Rodrigues returned home to India after the Heat's match against the Hobart Hurricanes 10 days ago as part of a pre-arranged commitment where she was to be involved in Indian teammate Smriti Mandhana's wedding last weekend.
"However, the celebrations were subsequently postponed due to a health issue with Mandhana's father," the statement added.
The club said they had agreed to Jemimah's request for release. "Rodrigues will stay in India to support her teammate, and the Heat has agreed to her not returning for the final four games of the WBBL season."
Jemimah had played a pivotal role in India lifting their maiden Women's World Cup, smashing an unbeaten century in the semifinal against seven-time champions Australia as the hosts overhauled a steep 300-plus total.
Brisbane Heat CEO Terry Svenson said it was "challenging" time for Jemimah and the club agreed to her request. "It has obviously been a challenging time for Jemi, so while it is unfortunate that she will take no further part in the WBBL, we were more than willing to agree to her request to remain in India," he said.
"The Heat club obviously wish her and Smriti Mandhana's family all the best for the future. Jemi told us she was disappointed not to be coming back and has passed on her appreciation to the club and the Heat fans for being so understanding of the circumstances." Svenson added.
Jemimah was the Heat's No.1 pick at the 'International Player' draft earlier this year.

The title-winning Indian stars expectedly dominated the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup Team of the Tournament with Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma making it to the line-up announced on Tuesday.
The Indian trio played a stellar role in the team's maiden World Cup triumph. India defeated South Africa by 52 runs in the summit clash on Sunday.
Runners-up South Africa also have three of their players in the side, with skipper Laura Wolvaardt chosen to captain the Team of the Tournament following her sensational efforts with the bat where she amassed a whopping 571 runs at an average of 71.37 to break the record for the most runs at any single edition of the Women's World Cup.
Annabel Sutherland, Ash Gardner and leg-spinner Alana King feature from the Australian team that reached the semi-finals, with standout wicket-keeper Sidra Nawaz of Pakistan the only player named in a side to miss out on the final four, stated an ICC press release.
England's Sophie Ecclestone was also included following some strong efforts that helped her side reach the semi-finals, while compatriot Nat Sciver-Brunt is named as the 12th player.
Opening batter Mandhana scored 434 runs at an average of 54.25 with one century and two fifties.
A model of consistency at the top of the batting order for India, Mandhana finished as the second-leading run-scorer at the tournament behind only Wolvaardt. Her 109 against New Zealand in Navi Mumbai was the highlight for the left-hander, while consecutive scores of 80 and 88 against Australia and England prior to that century displayed Mandhana's ability to perform well against the best teams.
Rodrigues, on her part, made 292 runs at an average of 58.40 with the help of one century and one fifty. Her stunning innings of 127 not out against Australia in the semi-finals was the major reason behind her inclusion in the side, though the India No.3 also produced a string of other good scores throughout the tournament.
An unbeaten 76 against New Zealand was of vital importance in India's run to the semifinals, while Rodrigues' knock of 24 helped alongside Shafali Verma's fireworks in the final against South Africa.
With the bat, Deepti scored 215 runs at an average of 30.71 with one century and three fifties. She also took 22 wickets at an average of 20.40. Named Player of the Tournament, Deepti was instrumental in India's title-winning campaign. She finished as the leading wicket-taker and scored crucial runs across the tournament.
Deepti produced her best performance on the grandest stage, taking 5/39 in the final against South Africa and adding 58 with the bat. Her consistency and ability to influence games with both bat and ball made her India&rsquo;s most valuable player.

India's campaign has been as taxing as it can be for a World Cup host, especially when the team had its back pressed firmly against the wall following three consecutive defeats, from which they fought back to find a place in the semifinals. But then they lost a key batter in Pratika Rawal to injury. There is no room for error now as India are left in the ring with each of those opponents who had outmatched them in league meetings.

India must decide whether to pick Shafali, whose aggressive style could put pressure on the opponents and match Mandhana&rsquo;s rich form, or promote Harleen Deol in the opening slot to accommodate a sixth bowler. Harleen's 169 runs without a fifty in seven matches at 75.11 may not promise fireworks but her ability to stick to the crease provides solidity at the top and gives Mandhana a familiar cushion, similar to Rawal's role.
Despite forecasts of unseasonal rains, the pitch remains a batting haven and scoreboard pressure may not work as effectively on the chasing side. When not challenged, as against South Africa in Indore, Australia has not only fired the first shots but crushed the opponent completely.
On Tuesday, Alyssa Healy went through drills to prove her fitness after missing matches against England and South Africa, while Beth Mooney also trained, including wicketkeeping practice. Healy looks on track to make her comeback in the semifinal, as Australia wants their regular captain back in the middle. She has struck centuries in each of her last two outings against Bangladesh and India.
Phoebe Litchfield, unbeaten 84 against Bangladesh, has been in ordinary form but, as an exponent of the reverse-sweep shot, will look forward to the outing against India. Tahlia McGrath, who stood in for Healy in the last two matches, has only 43 runs from six outings. But in Ashleigh Gardner (265 runs including two tons, seven wickets), Annabel Sutherland (114 runs and 15 wickets), and Alana King (13 wickets and 55 runs), Australia has depth until No. 11 to stage comebacks that can influence outcomes.

Mandhana, who is already world No. 1 in ODIs, made the leap after her maiden century in the opening T20I of the five-match series against England last week in which she also stood in for injured skipper Harmanpreet Kaur.
Mandhana smacked 15 fours and three sixes to make 112 off 62 balls to power India to a 97-run victory against England at Nottingham, which was also the biggest defeat in terms of runs for the hosts in the shortest format.
The left-handed Indian opener now has a career-high of 771 rating points and is ranked third, behind West Indies&rsquo; Hayley Matthews, who is second with 774 points, and Australia&rsquo;s Beth Mooney at the top with 794 points.
Among other Indian batters, comeback opener Shafali Verma and Harleen Deol also made gains.
"Fellow Indian opener Shafali Verma gains one place to move to 13th on the same rankings list following her innings of 20 in the same match against England, while teammate Harleen Deol re-enters the batter rankings in equal 86th after a quickfire knock of 43," the ICC said in a release.
Meanwhile, England fast bowler Lauren Bell moved up two places to reach fourth in the rankings for bowlers after her three-wicket haul in the first T20I against India.
The ICC added, &ldquo;Pakistan spinner Sadia Iqbal remains at the top of the list for T20I bowlers, but it's tight at the top with just 44 rating points separating the top 10 players.&rdquo; South Africa&rsquo;s Miane Smit moved to 76th with her maiden half-century against the West Indies while teammate Sune Luus moved up nine spots to reach 31 in list of the all-rounders.

Mandhana has a total of 727 rating points followed by England captain Natalie Sciver-Brunt at 719. Wolvaardt is now third with 719 points.
The next two Indian batters in the list after Mandhana are Jemimah Rodrigues and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who are placed 14th and 15th respectively.
India and England are set to face off in five T20Is and three ODIs later this month.
While Mandhana has sat inside the top 10 on the list for ODI batters in recent times, the left-hander hasn't held the premier position since the start of 2019 as a drought of more than six years comes to an end.

Star batter Smriti Mandhana and all-rounder Deepti Sharma were on Friday named in the ICC women's ODI Team of the Year 2024 but none of their male counterparts found a place in the men's side that was dominated by Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The women's all-star team has three players from England, two Australians, two South Africans and one each from Sri Lanka and West Indies, besides the two Indians.
South African batter Laura Wolvaardt, who scored 697 runs in 12 matches in 2024, was named captain of the ICC team.
The men were, however, absent from the ICC XI and that can be attributed to lack of ODI engagements for the country last year. India played only three ODIs -- an away series against Sri Lanka --, losing two of them while the third one ended in a tie.
The 28-year-old Mandhana accumulated 747 runs in 13 matches to be the highest run-scorer in women's ODIs in 2024. She is also in the running for the ICC Women's ODI Cricketer of the Year 2024 award.

She began her year with a run-a-ball 29 against Australia in January, but had to wait six months for her next ODIs, a home series against South Africa.
When she returned, Mandhana was in sublime form, beginning with back-to-back centuries in the first two ODIs against the Proteas. She narrowly missed a third consecutive ton, falling for 90, though her remarkable tally of 343 runs in the series earned her the Player-of-the-Series award.
Mandhana had a shaky start in the first two ODIs against New Zealand in October, but ended the series on a high note with a brilliant century in the final match. With this hundred, Mandhana became the most prolific century-maker for India in the Women's 50-over format.
A similar story unfolded during the away series against Australia, where she capped off in style with a century at the WACA. She came close to back-to-back centuries in the opening ODI against West Indies but fell agonisingly short in the nervous nineties once again. Mandhana wrapped up the series with two half-centuries.
Deepti scored 186 runs and took 24 wickets in 13 matches in an all-round show in 2024.
She began the year with a gritty all-round performance in the lone ODI against Australia at Wankhede in January, scoring an unbeaten 25 runs and taking a wicket.
In the three-match series against South Africa in Bengaluru in June, Deepti showcased her bowling brilliance, picking up two wickets in each of the three matches. In her only opportunity to bat, she scored a crucial 37 in the opening game.
Deepti starred in the ODI series against New Zealand in October, earning Player-of-the-Match honours for her 41 runs and figures of 1/41 in the opening game. She followed up with a strong showing in the second match, taking 2/30 in a losing cause, and was the standout bowler in the final ODI, spinning India to victory with figures of 3/39.
Meanwhile, the absence of any Indian in the men's all-star team could be attributed to very less number of matches the country played last year. India played only three ODIs -- an away series against Sri Lanka --, losing two of them while the third one ended in a tie.

The all-star ODI team announced by the ICC features four players from Sri Lanka, three each from Pakistan and Afghanistan and one from the West Indies.
Sri Lanka captain Charith Asalanka was named skipper of the ICC team as well for his stupendous batting through the year.
In his 16 ODI appearances in 2024, Asalanka scored 605 runs at an average of 50.2 including a century and four fifties.
Sri Lanka played 18 ODIs in the year gone by, the highest among all teams, and won 12 of them.
Pakistan picked up seven victories from its nine ODI engagements, while Afghanistan won eight of their 14 one-dayers.
Big-hitting West Indian Sherfane Rutherford, who made his international debut in 2023, was the lone non-Asian in the all star XI for his 425 runs from nine games at an astonishing average of 106.2.

Records tumbled like nine pins as the Indian women's cricket team, powered by skipper Smriti Mandhana's 70-ball century, demolished Ireland by a whopping 304 runs to claim its biggest-ever ODI win and complete a 3-0 clean sweep in Rajkot on Wednesday.&nbsp;
The result of the match was a mere formality once India set Ireland a massive target of 436, and Ireland could only garner 131 before getting bundled out in 31.4 overs.
India put the first step forward towards a crushing victory through record-breaking Mandhana (135, 80b, 12x4, 7x6) and her opening partner Pratika Rawal (154, 129b, 20x4, 1x6), reaching 435/5, highest total by an Indian team &mdash; men&rsquo;s or women&rsquo;s &mdash; in ODIs. India men's highest ODI total is 418/5 made against the West Indies in Indore in 2011.
Mandhana and Rawal added a whopping 233 runs for the first wicket in just 26.4 overs and there was no looking back. Then spinners Tanuja Kanwar (2/31) and Deepti Sharma (3/27) took over, sharing five wickets among them to decimate the Irish line-up, which was well short on experience.&nbsp;
Orla Prendergast (36) and Sarah Forbes (41) added 64 runs for a fluent third wicket stand that helped Ireland to recover from a shaky 24 for two to reach 88 without further damage. But once Prendergast was cleaned up by Kanwar, India were all over the tourists like a bad rash, claiming the remaining seven wickets for just 33 runs.
It also helped India eclipse their previous largest margin of victory (by runs) &mdash; 249 registered against the same opposition in 2017 at Potchefstroom, South Africa.

Mandhana&rsquo;s 10th ODI century came off just 70 deliveries as the left-hander surpassed Harmanpreet Kaur&rsquo;s 87-ball hundred mark against South Africa last year. It also set the tone for India breaching the 400-run mark for the first time, joining Australia and New Zealand in that elite list.&nbsp;
Mandhana was in her usual destructive self, and was not afraid to take the aerial route over the 'V' and clear the 30-yard circle. Pratika complemented her captain brilliantly with a measured knock, making the occasion even more special by notching her maiden international century in her sixth innings.&nbsp;
Pratika relied on precise placement and deft touches in the point region and she showed her aggression only after reaching the ton, hitting Freya Sargent for her first six.
Demonstrating hunger for a bigger knock, she powered her way to an impressive 150 &mdash; a perfect blend of composure and aggression. Their 233-run partnership made them only the fourth Indian pair to record a 200-run stand in Women&rsquo;s ODIs.&nbsp;
It was also the third instance of both Indian openers scoring hundreds in ODIs, following Reshma Gandhi and Mithali Raj&rsquo;s feat at Milton Keynes in 1999 and Deepti and Raut&rsquo;s partnership at Potchefstroom in 2017 -- all against Ireland. Skipper Smriti Mandhana smashed the fastest one-day international century by an Indian in women&rsquo;s cricket, reaching the milestone in just 70 balls during the third ODI against Ireland here on Wednesday (January 15, 2025).
Leading the side in the absence of regular skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, the dynamic opener lit up the innings with 12 boundaries and seven sixes in her scintillating 135-run knock before being caught at short fine leg by Orla Prendergast.
Mandhana broke the record previously held by Kaur, who had scored a century in 87 balls against South Africa in Bengaluru last year.
Mandhana&rsquo;s hundred is the joint-seventh fastest in the format, equalling former England cricketer Charlotte Edwards' effort from 2012.
With her 10th ODI hundred, Mandhana also moved to joint third on the all-time list of most centuries in women's ODIs, alongside England's Tammy Beaumont.
The list is led by former Australia captain Meg Lanning (15) and New Zealand&rsquo;s Suzie Bates (13).

Batting first, Mandhana's 50-ball-80 and a fiery 58 by Perry powered RCB to a mammoth 198/3.

Engaging fifties by skipper Smriti Mandhana and star all-rounder Ellyse Perry formed the foundation of Royal Challengers Bangalore&rsquo;s convincing 23-run win over UP Warriorz in their Women&rsquo;s Premier League match on Monday.
Mandhana (80, 50b, 10x4, 3x6) and Perry (58, 37b, 4x4, 4x6) added 95 runs off just 64 balls for the second wicket as Royal Challengers made a formidable 198/3.
The Warriorz&rsquo;s chase did not have much to write home about except a fifty (55, 38b, 7x4, 3x6) by captain Alyssa Healy as it ended at 175/8.
This was also the last game of WPL's Bengaluru leg as the caravan now rolls to New Delhi from Tuesday.
But the visitors made a cracking beginning to their innings scoring 47 in just 4.2 overs as Healy and Kiran Navgire tore into RCB bowlers after a first-over maiden by pacer Renuka Singh.
Healy moussed two sixes off pacer Sophie Devine in the second over to start the run glut, and then hammered Renuka for 24 runs in the next over as Navgire also took part in the fun with a four and six.
But Devine ended that partnership when she ousted Navgire and her dismissal cooled down the run-collection rate.
The ever-mounting asking rate forced the UP batters to go after big shots as they lost Chamari Athapathuthu (8), in-form Grace Harris (5) and Shweta Sehrawat (1) while adding 26 runs between the seventh and 10th over.
At 90/4 after 10 overs, the burden of taking the UP outfit past the target was entirely on Healy and she tried gamely with a 34-ball fifty.
But left-arm spinner Sophie Molineux curtailed her stint as Healy failed to connect a tossed-up ball on middle and leg and Richa Ghosh did the rest behind the stumps.
Deepti Sharma (33, 22b) Poonam Khemnar (31, 24b) added 41 runs for the sixth wicket but they had one too many runs to scale down.
Earlier, looking to get out of a two-match losing streak, RCB promoted S Meghana as opener in place of Devine and the move paid off.
Meghana and Mandhana added 51 runs in 5.3 overs to give RCB a strong platform and the hosts ended the Power Play at 57 for 1, their best in WPL 2.
Mandhana and Perry optimised that start as the UP bowlers wilted under double barrel firing.
The left-hander's timing was stunning as she played shots all around the park and treated spinners with disdain. It will give her a lot of confidence as she often tends to get stuck against the tweakers.
Mandhana, who was dropped on 28, was particularly severe on off-spinner Athapathuthu and left-arm pacer Anjali Sarvani, whom she carted for a slew of fours and sixes.
But a slog-sweep of off-spinner Deepti ended in the hands of Poonam Khemnar at deep mid-wicket to silence the roaring RCB fans.
However, Perry, who smashed left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad for two successive sixes, and Ghosh added 42 runs off 18 balls for the third wicket as RCB motored on to a strong total.
Warriorz&rsquo;s Vrinda Dinesh is ruled out of the remainder of the WPL after suffering a shoulder injury during the match against Mumbai Indians here on February 28.
They have signed wicket-keeper batter Uma Chetry as replacement at her base price of Rs 10 lakh.
RCB also made a change to the side, benching injured Shreyanka Patil for veteran left-arm spinner Ekta Bisht.

But that total was under severe threat when Mandhana tore into the DC attack with panache.
They went off the blocks in an energetic fashion as Mandhana took it upon herself the task of leading her side&rsquo;s reply.
She started with two fours off pacer Marizanne Kaap (2/38) and the left-hander only stepped up on the aggression from that point.
Mandhana faced 28 balls in the Power Play segment and hammered 45 runs as the home team reached an impressive 52 for no loss after six overs.
Sophie Devine just had to watch all the fun from her end as Mandhana reached her first-ever WPL fifty in just 32 balls when she took a quick two off off-spinner Minnu Mani.
Devine too had her own moments like when she moussed two successive sixes off Minnu, one each over long-on and mid-wicket.
But the Kiwi batter soon fell to pacer Arundhati Reddy as her top-edged pull ended in the hands of Jess Jonassen.
However, Mandhana continued her aggressive ways and smoked Kapp over mid-wicket for a six. But the veteran South African had the last laugh as she uprooted the off-stump with a slower delivery that beat Mandhana&rsquo;s tentative swish.
Richa Ghosh gave RCB a glimmer of hope, biffing Arundhati for two consecutive pulled sixes but fell to the guile of Kapp, whose climbing delivery curtailed the wicketkeeper-batter&rsquo;s stay.
Thereafter the task only grew steeper for RCB as left-arm spinner Jess Jonassen (3/21) produced an excellent spell. RCB lost six wickets for 18 runs at that stage.
Earlier, Verma (50, 3x4, 4x6) and Alice Capsey (46, 33b, 4x4, 2x6) added 82 runs for the second wicket as the Capitals recovered from the early loss of skipper Meg Lanning.
Kapp (32, 16b, 2x4, 3x6) and Jess Jonassen (36 not out, 16b, 4x4, 2x6) also played blinders towards the end to give a fillip to the Capitals as they added 58 runs for the fifth wicket in a little over four overs.
Verma, who was dropped on two by Shreyanka Patil off pacer Renuka Singh, and Capsey went about their task shifting seamlessly through the gears.
Verma gave a lot of steam to DC innings when she smashed left-arm spinner Sophie Molineux for a four and six off successive balls.
Capsey was more innovative in her shot selection, often bringing out reverse sweeps and scoops behind the stumper.
Verma reached her second fifty of this WPL with a six off off-spinner Shreyanka over mid-wicket.
But she fell in the very next ball, pulling Shreyanka straight into the hands of Georgia Wareham at mid-wicket.
De Klerk soon delivered a wonderful slow yorker to castle Capsey and Jemimah Rodrigues returned without contributing a single run as the Capitals slipped into a mini-slump.
However, Kapp and Jonassen took the RCB bowlers to the cleaners between 14th and 18th overs to ensure that DC would finish strong.

Captain Smriti Mandhana's blitz and a disciplined effort by bowlers powered Royal Challengers Bangalore to a comprehensive 8-wicket win over sloppy Gujarat Giants in their Women's Premier League match on Tuesday.
Mandhana (43, 27b, 8x4, 1x6) and S Meghana (36, 28b, 5x4, 1x6), who added 40 runs for the second wicket, made light work of a 108-run target.
Royal Challengers finished their towelling of the Giants in a mere 12.3 overs for their second win on the bounce in this WPL.
They just had to build on the strong foundation laid by the RCB bowlers, who restricted Giants to 107 for 7. Pacer Renuka Singh (2/14) and left-arm spinner Sophie Molineux (3/25) did the star turn for the home side after it opted to bowl.
The RCB chase began with a bang as Mandhana slammed two fours in the first two balls off pacer Lea Tahuhu &ndash; a drive past the point and a well-timed pull carrying the ball to the fence in a jiffy.
The graceful left-hander added another four through a pull a ball later as RCB amassed 13 runs in the first over.
With boundaries raining, the Bangalore outfit marched to 32 for no loss in the third over but lost Sophine Devine to Ashleigh Gardner in the fourth over.
But her dismissal did not slow down the scoring as Mandhana smoked a six over the head off Tahuhu to keep the momentum going.
A fifty was there for taking, but a tame push off left-arm spinner Tanuja Kanwar cut short her entertaining stint.
Her innings also put in perspective the early struggles of Giants' batters, who limped without timing or power.
There was a certain tackiness on the pitch alright, but the RCB bowlers also hit the right length to keep the Giants batters on a tight leash.
The dismissal of Giants' skipper Beth Mooney (8) was a perfect example for this.
Mooney had struck Renuka for two boundaries earlier, and she immediately changed the line coming around the wicket.
She was rewarded with the big wicket when Mooney failed to tackle a delivery that shaped in to beat her defensive prod.
Renuka soon ousted Phoebe Litchfield too when the Aussie batter failed to drag her feet back inside the crease before Richa Ghosh, standing up, completed her stumping.
The pacer bowled her full quota of four overs on the trot and returned with handsome numbers of 4-0-14-2.
From that point, the Giants kept on losing wickets, including generally quick scorers like Ashleigh Gardner, and it thwarted their attempts to give some steam to the innings.
Dayalan Hemalatha's unbeaten 31 off 25 balls helped them go past the 100-run mark.
They ended the first 10 overs at 44 for two, and the back 10 too did not prove much different as RCB bowlers kept chipping away without conceding too many runs.
That the Giants managed a total of just 10 fours and two sixes in their entire innings underlined their tough time.

India opener Smriti Mandhana has jumped two spots to grab the fourth position in the latest ICC Women's ODI Player Rankings for batters.

England&rsquo;s Nat Sciver Brunt, Sri Lanka&rsquo;s Chamari Athapaththu and Australia&rsquo;s Beth Mooney occupy the top 3 positions in the batting chart, which also has India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur static at the 10th place.
Mandhana, who is set to represent the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Women&rsquo;s Premier League, last played ODIs in the bilateral series against Australia. She had made 63 runs at an average of 31.50.
In the bowling chart, which is headed by England's Sophie Ecclestone, spinner Deepti Sharma slipped a place to number four. The Indian, however, moved a place to the fifth spot in ODI allrounder list.
Among bowlers, South Africa's Marizanne Kapp has climbed seven places to take the second position after grabbing four wickets in the last two ODIs against Australia.
An all-round performance of 75 and 3/12 in the second match in North Sydney that helped South Africa register their first ever ODI victory over Australia also helped Kapp retain eighth position in batting and consolidate her top ranking in the list of all-rounders.
Kapp increased her points tally from 658 to 668 in the batting rankings and from 388 to 452 in the all-rounders&rsquo; rankings.
Chloe-Tryon is another South Africa all-rounder to gain in the latest weekly rankings update, moving up one place to 20th among batters.
She advanced seven places to 43rd among bowlers and reached the top 10 for all-rounders for the first time.
Anneke Bosche (up 13 places to 68th among batters) and Masabata Klaas (up two places to 24th among bowlers) have also gained.
Australia too had several players moving up in the rankings after completing a 2-1 win with all-rounder Tahlia McGrath progressing four places to 30th among batters.
Tahila was named Player of the Match in the final ODI after smashing 44 off 35 balls and claiming 3/23. She also rose five places to 60th among bowlers and to 21st in the list of all-rounders.
Alana King (77th in batting and 13th in bowling) and Kim Garth (96th in batting and 28th in bowling) have also made notable progress.

The side was all out as Titas Sadhu, Amanjot Kaur, Rajeshwari Kaur and Devika Vaidya all got a wicket each.&nbsp; In reply, it was a cake walk for India. During the group photograph, the Indian captain reportedly called the umpires to join for the click as they were the reason for the shared trophy which led to Sultana asking her team to return to the dressing room.&nbsp; Responding to the Bangladeshi captain's accusation, Mandhana who defended her skipper said that Harmanpreet never spoke about the Bangladeshi players and went on to add, 'We should not talk about things that did not happen during the match' Mandhana further backed the 34-year-old who lashed out at the Bangladeshi umpires calling them 'pathetic' after she was adjudged leg-before off a Nahida Akter delivery while trying to sweep. She claimed that the ball hit the bat before hitting the pads. She broke the stumps in disgust.&nbsp; The Indian opener said, "What happened in the middle is part and parcel of the game. We have seen these incidents so much in the past in men's cricket, when you play for India, you want to win the match. It happens in the heat of the moment, but I think she was not really happy with the decision given. She was given out and she felt that she was not out"

Sophie Devine lit up the Mumbai skyline with an astonishing 36-ball 99 as Royal Challengers Bangalore made short work of a 189-run target for an eight-wicket victory over Gujarat Giants in the Women's Premier League here on Saturday.
It rained sixes from the broad willow of Devine as RCB breezed past the target with as many as 27 balls to spare and keep their slim playoff hopes alive with a second successive victory.
Devine, who has also represented New Zealand in hockey before starting out in cricket as a bowler often batting at number 11, played an innings that will go down as one of the finest in the history of the T20 format.

Post which, the Smriti Mandhana-led side defeated UP Warriorz by 5 wickets.&nbsp; In a video shared by RCB on their official Twitter handle, Kohli told the team that though he hasn't won the title for the franchise yet, he still feels that excitement every year.&nbsp; Asking the team to keep their heads high, Kohli said that the 6th game was their real test.&nbsp;&nbsp; 'I've been playing for 15 years and I haven't won it yet but that doesn't stop me from being excited every year that's all I can do, that's the effort I can put into every game every tournament I play', he said. I was left with no belief to be very honest I was gone, the tank was absolutely empty but that was my own perspective, that was just me as an individual saying oh I have seen so much of this and I just can't manage it just can't handle it anymore but the next season new people came in they had new ideas there was another opportunity they were excited may be as an individual I wasn't as excited but they created the energy we reached 3 playoffs in a row and now we start every season with excitement and I feel excited now, the person who was not up to the mark' he added.
