Sima Taparia, who gained massive recognition with the Netflix reality show &lsquo;Indian Matchmaking&rsquo;, opened up to criticism about her success rate on the show. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sima said that people who are criticising her and the show are &lsquo;stupid&rsquo;. &lsquo;If it would have been a fake show, I would have gotten everyone married in a day. Only because it is a reality show, this cannot happen,&rsquo; she said. Sima shared the show is shot for just five months and it is not possible to get someone married in such a short duration. The matchmaker said, &lsquo;Now if you say that marriages should happen in five months&hellip;everyone who is criticising the show is stupid. Paanch mahine mein shaadi kaise hogi? (How can someone get married in five months?)&rsquo;
Many viewers have criticised Sima Taparia for failing to find a suitable partner for the contestants of &lsquo;Indian Matchmaking&rsquo;.
Earlier, Sima Taparia had told The Indian Express that the purpose of Indian Matchmaking was only to showcase how marriages happen in India.
She said, &lsquo;The goal of the show was to show the process of Indian matchmaking to the world. In five months, how do you think it is possible that everyone will get married? If I was God, I would have matched three successful couples every day. But I am not. And since it&rsquo;s a reality show, the success rate is very low because everything is real.&rsquo;

Sima Taparia&rsquo;s &lsquo;Indian Matchmaking&rsquo; has again got nominated for Emmys. Sima is currently in Switzerland enjoying family time when this news arrives.&nbsp;
&ldquo;I was vacationing in Switzerland with my family and had no clue that the nominations were out. The news came to me as a sweet surprise. Everyone is so happy that the show has got global acknowledgment and recognition at the Emmys for the second time. It is a proud moment for me, and for India,&rdquo; Taparia told in an interview to Hindustan Times.&nbsp;
She added, &ldquo;We were nominated phele bhi but couldn&rsquo;t win. We have got another chance to win the Emmy for the whole team who worked hard on it. This time, I am sure that the Emmy will come to India. That being said, leaving winning aside, getting a nomination is also a big deal. We were not disappointed when we didn&rsquo;t win the Emmy last time. Because we know it is an honour to get a nod as only some shows get picked out of hundreds of the show.&rdquo;&nbsp;
The reality project has got nominated for the 75th Emmy Awards under the Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program category. The show has to compete with RuPaul&rsquo;s Drag Race: Untucked, Selling Sunset, Vanderpump Rules and Welcome To Wrexham in the race. Earlier, Taparia&rsquo;s show was nominated in the Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program category at the 73rd edition of the awards.&nbsp;
Sima&rsquo;s happiness can be seen as she adds, &ldquo;The recognition is an answer to all the people who were saying negative things about the show. If a global body is recognising us, show mein kuch toh hoga na (there will be something about the show)&nbsp;

Twinkle Khanna, during her conversation with him for Tweak India, compared him to the popular matchmaker Sima Taparia of the reality show 'Indian Matchmaking' as he claimed credit for the success behind many marriages in Bollywood.

Karan Johar was also mocked for constantly asking questions about people&rsquo;s sex life on his chat show &lsquo;Koffee with Karan&rsquo;. Twinkle imitated the filmmaker as well and jokingly asked, &lsquo;Who would you rather sleep with, Aamir Khan or Shah Rukh Khan?&rsquo;
KJo, who was clearly taken aback, said, &lsquo;I&rsquo;ve never asked that, how can I ask that?&rsquo; He then tried to change the situation and asked Twinkle the same question, to which she said that she won&rsquo;t be answering that and added that it&rsquo;s the reason why she doesn&rsquo;t come on his show.
Karan&rsquo;s &lsquo;Koffee couch of manifestation&rsquo; has brought together celebrities like Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif. Katrina had talked about Vicky during an episode in 2018, which had left the &lsquo;Masaan&rsquo; actor speechless and he was happy that she was actually aware of his existence. The couple married in 2021.

During one of the recent episodes, Maheep makes Seema meet Sima Taparia, known for her show 'Indian Matchmaking'. During their unfiltered conversation, Maheep asked Taparia to find a match for Seema.  
Sima Taparia then asked the real reason for Seema's separation from Sohail, to which she responded that their views didn't match. Taparia further questioned her why she realised this after 22 years?
To which Seema said that they both tried to make the relationship work, they have children, but it's a different situation. When asked if their children have agreed to the divorce, Seema answered that her older son has accepted but her younger one is too little. 
‘Our views are not the same’, said Seema to the separation question of Sima Taparia.
‘I was following your formula, because we were both trying. Full formula I tried. Even he tried. So, its not like we didn't try together. And when we have children, it's a different situation.’ Seema added.  For the unversed, Sohail Khan and Seema Sajdeh tied the knot in the year 1998. The duo welcomed their first child, Nirvan, in 2000. In June 2011, the couple welcomed their second son Yohan, through surrogacy.      As per the reports, the couple filed for divorce on May 13 this year.

The Sima Taparia hosted ‘Indian Matchmaking’ is all set to return for its second season. The first episode of the second season will premiere on Netflix on August 10 this year. Sima Taparia took to social media to make the announcement. She captioned the post as ‘Sima from Mumbai is back!! Indian Matchmaking S2 premieres on Wednesday, August 10 PST on @Netflix!”’
As per a report in ‘Variety’, this season will see Sima Taparia working with millennials around the globe to search for their perfect match. Just like last season, this season will see Taparia falling back to her decades of experience and traditional methods when it comes to helping the lucky singles find the right person.
Speaking to Variety, Sima said that the love that she got from the fans of the show was wonderful. She added that matchmaking was her passion and that it was a joy to share her work with audiences around the world. The show’s creator cum Executive Producer Smriti Mundhra (who is also an Academy Award nominee) told Variety that the response to season 1 of ‘Indian Matchmaking’ was overwhelming and that they were thrilled to be back with more episodes that explored the rollercoaster of emotions and tough conversations on the journey to finding love.

Sima Taparia's 'Indian Matchmaking' is all set to return for its second season. The matchmaker took to social media to announce that the first episode of her show will premiere on Netflix on August 10. Her post comprises stills from the forthcoming series and show how she's back in action to find perfect life partners for NRI singles.
In the first season, none of the participants managed to find a match. Some of them are expected to return in the new season.&nbsp;
