Shakira had informed the fans about her &lsquo;surprise&rsquo; treat in an Instagram video. Singer Shakira took to Instagram to share a video of an unexpected visitor during the shooting of her latest music video for the song &lsquo;Copa Vacia&rsquo;.
In the video, the &lsquo;Hips Don&rsquo;t Lie&rsquo; singer is seen dressed as a mermaid with pink hair, lying among a pile of trash when a rat suddenly appears. The rat startled her, making her scream and jump up. She accidentally leaves her hair extensions behind.
The singer can be seen trying to free herself from the rodent&rsquo;s presence. Sharing the video, she wrote &lsquo;Cosas que le pasan hasta a las sirenas (Things that happen even to mermaids).&rsquo;
Shakira's fans left some light-hearted comments and playful remarks on the video.
The music video was released in June alongside the song. It tells the tale of a mermaid who is taken away from her ocean abode and placed in a tank for public display.
Shakira took to Instagram to share the challenges she faced while portraying the mermaid character.
Shakira told Hola!, &lsquo;The fish tank broke, the set began to flood and they had to take me out of there. I couldn&rsquo;t go out because I had a mermaid tail, and I couldn&rsquo;t climb out.&rsquo;

Shakira and her former partner Gerard Piqu&eacute; finally reached an agreement over the custody of their two sons. Shakira&rsquo;s representative in Spain said that the Colombian singer will get full custody of Milan and Sasha and they will move back to Miami.
As reported to La Vanguardia, the former couple and their lawyers had negotiations that lasted for about 12 hours. Gerard will spend Christmas in Barcelona with the kids and after which they will go to Miami.
This has come a week after Gerard Pique announced his imminent retirement from professional football and departure from FC Barcelona.
Shakira and Gerard met in 2010 at the Rock in Rio festival. They later met at an event during the World Cup and later Piqu&eacute; was spotted attending Shakira's concerts. &nbsp;The couple was also mentioned in the Forbes list of 'World's Most Powerful Couples'
According to Reuters, the couple announced their separation via their PR agency. &lsquo;We regret to confirm that we are parting ways. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding,&rsquo; the statement said.

Shakira has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. In a recent interview with the Spanish edition of Elle magazine, the singer said that she’s confident that she has enough proof to support her case and that justice will prevail in her favour.
She previously also rejected a deal, offered by prosecutors, to avoid going to trial.
The date for the trial has yet to be set.
