The Raj Mehta directorial earned a little over ₹10 crore nett. It made ₹2.55 crore on Friday, ₹3.95 crore on Saturday and on Sunday, it only managed to earn ₹3.95 crore.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office figures and wrote, &lsquo;Selfiee disappoints&hellip; Fri 2.55 cr, Sat 3.80 cr, Sun 3.95 cr. Total: ₹ 10.30 cr+. #India biz.&rsquo;
The lower-than-expected numbers for the film is said to be Akshay's lowest opening in a decade. The actor is also a producer on the project.
&lsquo;Selfiee&rsquo;, which also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty, is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film, &lsquo;Driving Licence&rsquo;, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
In a recent interview with Aaj Tak, Akshay Kumar shared that this had happened to him earlier in his career as well. He said, &lsquo;This is not happening with me for the first time. In my career, I have had 16 consecutive flops at a time. There was a time when I had eight films in a row that did not work. Now, I have had three-four films in a row that did not work. The thing is that it happens due to your own fault, film ka na chalna (a film not working). The audience have changed, you need to change, you need to dismantle yourself. You have to start again because the audience require to see something else.&rsquo;

According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 3.30 crore on its second day, which is a slight improvement.
Akshay's last few movies &lsquo;Raksha Bandhan&rsquo;, &lsquo;Ram Setu&rsquo;, &lsquo;Samrat Prithviraj&rsquo; and &lsquo;Bachchan Pandey&rsquo; also could not perform well at the box office.

Actor Akshay Kumar has been visiting various cities to promote his upcoming film &lsquo;Selfiee&rsquo;. A video of one of Akshay&rsquo;s promotional events is going viral online in which a fan is seen trying to come close to the actor and his security pushes the man away.
The fan fell during the scuffle and Akshay had to step in. The 'Khiladi' actor hugged the man and had a word with him. He then walked away smiling and waving to his fans.
On Sunday, Akshay had unveiled the third track &lsquo;Kudi Chamkeeli&rsquo; from &lsquo;<a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/selfiee-teaser-akshay-kumar-s-film-mentions-boycottbollywood-trend-netizens-react-1676470483244">Selfiee</a>&rsquo;. Taking to Instagram, he shared a full song video and wrote, &lsquo;Heere ki chamak bhi iss #KudiChamkeeli ke saamne fail hai. Full Song Out Now! #Selfiee in cinemas on 24th Feb.&rsquo; The song, which features Akshay along with Diana Penty, has been sung and written by Yo Yo Honey Singh.
&lsquo;Selfiee&rsquo; is an official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film &lsquo;Driving License&rsquo;, which starred Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
Directed by Raj Mehta, &lsquo;Selfiee&rsquo; also stars Emraan Hashmi, Nushrratt Bharuccha, and Diana Penty. It is scheduled to release in theatres on February 24, 2023.

Actors Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi are busy promoting their forthcoming film &lsquo;Selfiee&rsquo;, The duo launched the second trailer of their film on Wednesday at a college in Mumbai and a day later they surprised travellers as they boarded a metro.
They were seen in casual avatars with their face masks on making it difficult for people to identify them. Later, they removed their masks and surprised fellow travellers. They danced on the recreated version of &lsquo;Main Khiladi Tu Anari&rsquo; and won hearts with their signature steps.
&lsquo;Selfiee' is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam hit 'Driving License', starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The Raj Mehta directorial also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty. Mrunal Thakur has a cameo in the song 'Kudiye Ni Teri Vibe'.
&lsquo;Selfiee&rsquo; is set to release on February 23.
Post this film, Akshay Kumar will be seen in 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' with Tiger Shroff, while Emraan Hashmi will be seen next in 'Tiger 3' with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.

Actors Emraan Hashmi and Akshay Kumar attended the trailer launch event of their forthcoming film &lsquo;Selfiee&rsquo; on Sunday. At the event, Emraan revealed that his co-star actor Akshay was the first one to reach out to him like an &lsquo;angel&rsquo; when his son Ayaan was diagnosed with cancer in 2014. Ayaan was declared cancer free in 2019.
When Emraan was asked how was it to work with the &lsquo;Ram Setu&rsquo; actor, he said, &lsquo;I&rsquo;ve followed him as a fan, I&rsquo;ve adored him. I&rsquo;ve gotten the privilege of knowing him in the past few years. He was there for me when there was a health issue with my son. He was the first one to call and stand by me, stand by family our family.&rsquo;
&lsquo;I didn&rsquo;t know him well back then. A lot of people surround you in your good times but bure waqt mein jo farishtey aate hai (the angels who come to you in your tough times), that&rsquo;s Akshay,&rsquo; Emraan added.
Talking about multi-starrers, Emraan said, &lsquo;For me only the content is important, it doesn&rsquo;t matter if it&rsquo;s a solo hero, two heroes or three heroes film. I don&rsquo;t know why there aren&rsquo;t too many multi-starrers being made. They are being made but there should be more films made because they&rsquo;ve been successful if you look at the trend of past two years and since the dawn of cinema.&rsquo;
