Actor Riteish Deshmukh is all set for the release of his Marathi film &lsquo;Ved&rsquo;. Recently, a journalist alleged that the actor's PR team misbehaved with media persons and his bouncer threw them out of a hotel in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Now, Riteish, who was visiting the Mahalakshmi Temple in the city, interacted with the media and reacted to the claims.
As quoted by News18, Riteish said, &lsquo;I apologise if you feel that you have been insulted by us. I had not organised any meeting. I have been married for 11 years, but we did not come to take a darshan (of the temple) together. So, we came to visit the temple. This is not the place to talk about movies. May the blessings of Mahalakshmi be upon you.&rsquo;
&lsquo;Ved&rsquo; marks Riteish&rsquo;s debut as a director. The film is all set to release in theatres on December 30, 2022. The romantic action film also stars his wife, actor Genelia D'souza in the lead role. Salman Khan will be seen in a guest appearance.
The actor&rsquo;s last release was &lsquo;Mister Mummy&rsquo; alongside Genelia and Mahesh Manjrekar. Riteish will now be seen in an upcoming horror comedy &lsquo;Kakuda&rsquo; alongside Sonakshi Sinha and Saqib Saleem and in Sajid Khan's comedy &lsquo;100%&rsquo; with John Abraham, Nora Fatehi, and Shehnaaz Gill.

The film is about three best friends who have had countless affairs. They find an abandoned baby outside their house with a letter mentioned take care of your daughter. The trio has no option but to take care of the baby and chaos ensues as they try to contact their ex-lovers to determine who the father is.
Bluffmaster (2005) The crime comedy starred Ritesh Deshmukh in a supporting role as an amateur conman, Aditya 'Dittu' Srivastav. Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra played the lead roles in the Ramesh Sippy directorial. The film revolved around a con artist who is forced to re-examine his choices after his girlfriend learns the truth about his murky past and leaves him. Soon, he is diagnosed with a fatal illness and decides to help his foolish apprentice.
Masti (2004) The Indra Kumar directorial revolved around three best friends Meet, Prem and Amar, who reunite after three years and decide to have an affair as they are bored with their wives. Actor-producer Riteish Deshmukh recently opened up on the ongoing boycott Bollywood trend and big ticket films failing at the box office. He feels that if the content is good, then a film will remain unaffected by the boycott culture.
Deshmukh, in an interview with ‘Ulfiltered by Samdish’, said that the success of 'Brahmastra' proves that it's the film's content which is determining its fate and not the boycott calls.He said, ‘If the films are not working, we are not giving good enough content. If the films are flopping and there is a boycott trend, we feel they are not working because of the boycott. But then Brahmastra is the answer for you. It faced a boycott trend and still is a blockbuster.’
The actor cited the example of a scene from 2001 film ‘Lagaan’ and said, ‘When it rains at the end of Lagaan, it’s bigger than the cricket match win. It’s the same thing. There was a dry spell. Then came Brahmastra. It rained. It’s great. The same thing is for every industry. There is always a ripple effect to everything and it’s always wonderful. I feel that any success, whether it’s yours or others’, you should be happy and celebrate it.’
Riteish also talked about growing up in his father, former CM of Maharashtra Vilasrao Deshmukh’s house and called it a humbling experience. He defined his meaning of success and said, ‘For me, I was just a guy in front of a TV, and now I am inside it with those guys that I love, so that is success.’
On the work front, Riteish Deshmukh was last seen in 'Plan A Plan B' with Tamannaah Bhatia. He will soon feature in 'Mister Mummy' along with wife and actor Genelia. The actor also has ‘Kakuda’ and ‘Visfot’ in the pipeline. He will be seen directing and producing 'Vedd'.

Bollywood celebrities took to social media to express anger over the shocking Hathras incident. A 19-year-old Dalit woman was gangraped and tortured by four men in UP's&nbsp;Hathras, died at a Delhi hospital on Tuesday.
Expressing his anger, Akshay Kumar took to Twitter demanding hanging of culprits and&nbsp;saying the law and its enforcement must be so strict that the mere thought of punishment makes rapists shudder with fear.
Kangana&nbsp;Ranaut called out the shameful act and suggested that rapists must be shot.
