Back in May, Realme came out of nowhere with that Aston Martin Aramco F1 collab &mdash; the GT 7 Dream Edition. Nobody expected it, and suddenly people were like&hellip; okay, Realme is trying something.
Now six months later, we&rsquo;ve got the follow-up. The Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition. Same racing pedigree, full Aston Martin vibe, and a ₹79,999 price tag. For context, the normal GT 8 Pro starts at ₹72,999
But here&rsquo;s the thing&hellip; the moment you open the box, you kind of get it. This variant doesn&rsquo;t just show up &mdash; it performs an entrance. There&rsquo;s real premium energy here, and after using it, a lot of it actually lands.
There are also a few choices that made me tilt my head a little and go&hellip; huh. So let&rsquo;s break down what Realme nailed, and what probably needed another round of changes.&nbsp;
<h2>Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition: Top-Notch Unboxing Experience!</h2>
The unboxing is dramatic. Like, Realme actually committed to the bit.
You lift the lid and the box opens with these wing-style flaps inspired by Aston Martin&rsquo;s Silver Wing emblem. Sitting inside is the phone in full Racing Green. The texture on the back has these aerodynamic carve lines &mdash; it has grip, it has attitude, it looks fast even when it&rsquo;s not moving.
Even the SIM ejector tool looks like something pulled out of an F1 pit garage. It&rsquo;s extra&hellip; but it works. Then you flip the phone around and&hellip; boom. Aramco. Front and center. Loud and proud.
It kind of steals the spotlight from the Aston Martin badge sitting below it. And look...I understand the sponsorship thing. Aramco is Aston Martin F1&rsquo;s headline partner. Fair.
But nobody (and I mean nobody) is buying this because it&rsquo;s an Aramco phone. They&rsquo;re buying it because it&rsquo;s the &ldquo;Aston Martin edition,&rdquo; and yet the Aston Martin crest feels like it got demoted.
Realme also gives you a tiny Torx screwdriver in the box so you can remove the circular camera plate and swap it for a square one. It&rsquo;s cool for about five minutes. You do it once, look at it, realize the phone looks 98 percent the same, and then that screwdriver goes straight back into the box for the rest of its life.
And because of this whole swap system, Realme throws in two cases &mdash; one cutout for the round plate and one for the square. Cute idea, but let&rsquo;s be real &mdash; nobody is changing these plates every weekend.
Once you push the branding decisions and the novelty hardware aside, the phone itself is legitimately premium. The Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition feels great in the hand.
It&rsquo;s got a metal frame, a very manageable 214-gram weight, and legit durability with both IP68 and IP69 ratings. This is one of those phones you can actually use outdoors, not just admire on your desk.
<h2>Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition: 2K 144Hz AMOLED Display &nbsp;</h2>
The display is one of those parts you notice immediately. You&rsquo;re looking at a 6.78-inch 2K AMOLED panel that feels fast from the moment you unlock it. It&rsquo;s sharp, it&rsquo;s responsive, and every swipe lands exactly how you expect. Would LTPO have pushed it into ultra-premium territory? Definitely. But even as LTPS, the way it handles brightness, contrast, and colour makes it feel like a proper flagship display.
Now, Realme loves throwing big numbers around and yes, the display technically does 144Hz. The catch is that it only unlocks in a small list of supported games. Everywhere else, the UI is capped at 120Hz. On the plus side, the bezels are super thin and the panel is fully flat, which means zero accidental side touches and no strange edge reflections outdoors.
Brightness is where Realme goes full &ldquo;spec sheet chaos.&rdquo; They&rsquo;re claiming 7,000 nits peak and around 2,000 nits outside. And it actually holds up. Outdoor visibility is solved. Pair that with HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and HDR content pops without blowing out skin tones or nuking shadows.
The stereo speakers are loud, but kind of one-note. You get volume, but not much texture in the highs or weight in the lows. It&rsquo;s fine for TikTok runs and reels, but not something you&rsquo;ll brag about.
The good news is that everything else around the display feels locked in. The haptics land clean, and the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is one of the most reliable I&rsquo;ve used. It just works every single time. &nbsp;
<h2>Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Power</h2>
Once you look past the special green paint, the GT 8 Pro Dream Edition is running the same hardware as the standard GT 8 Pro &mdash; and honestly, that&rsquo;s a win. At the heart of it is Qualcomm&rsquo;s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and the phone wastes no time flexing it. Heavy apps, big games, long sessions&hellip; nothing makes it hiccup. It stays smooth in the way a proper flagship should.
Benchmarks do bring out the drama, though. During stress runs, the phone can hit around 45&deg;C, which is hot, but not unusual for top-end silicone. In real gameplay, it settles under 40&deg;C even after an hour of BGMI. On Antutu, it drops a 3.8 million score. That&rsquo;s a step below the OnePlus 15&rsquo;s 4 million, but still very respectable.
You also get 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, so multitasking never chokes and apps stay loaded for long stretches. My only real &ldquo;why though?&rdquo; is the USB 2.0 port on an 80K phone. That one stings.
Now, for the gaming side. BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile run smoothly, and the display does switch to 144Hz. Realme claims its new Hyper Vision+ AI chip injects extra frames to make gameplay appear smoother, even when the game isn&rsquo;t actually rendering them. And yes, it does feel fluid.
However, in my testing, COD: Mobile still caps at 60fps if you want max graphics. I unlocked 120fps, but only by dropping everything to Low plus Ultra frame rate.

This is the first Realme phone made in collaboration with Ricoh, and they didn&rsquo;t treat it like a token marketing badge. Ricoh&rsquo;s GR series is iconic in the street-photography world, and Realme actually pulls some of that DNA into the camera app.&nbsp;
There&rsquo;s a dedicated GR shooting mode with 28mm and 40mm focal lengths, a 3:2 aspect ratio, film tones tuned by Ricoh, and a &ldquo;Snap Focus&rdquo; mode that lets you raise the phone, tap, and instantly capture fixed-focus shots the way street shooters do.&nbsp;
It&rsquo;s a surprisingly well thought-out creative tool but strip away the Ricoh flair and the hardware still holds its own. On the back you&rsquo;re working with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 200-megapixel telephoto with 3X optical zoom, which is a first for Realme. Up front, there&rsquo;s a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
The main camera delivers crisp detail, vivid colours, and strong contrast, though it does nudge toward the saturated side. Night shots lean brighter than necessary at times, but the noise control is solid. Since it&rsquo;s using the same Sony IMX906 as the OnePlus 15, the results feel familiar.
The 200MP telephoto is easily the most fun lens on this phone. At 3X, portraits and zoom shots look sharp and clean with a nice depth to them. Push up to 6X and you&rsquo;ll see small losses in texture and clarity. Beyond that, it&rsquo;s mostly about bragging rights &mdash; yes, it does 120X, but the quality falls off well before you get there.
The ultra-wide is the weak link. It works fine in daylight, but fine textures get mushy, and low-light scenes lose dynamic range fast. It gets the job done, but it&rsquo;s not the lens you&rsquo;ll reach for unless you have to.
On video, Realme went aggressive. You can shoot up to 4K 120fps on the main and telephoto cameras, or 8K 30fps if you&rsquo;re feeling brave. You also get 10-bit LOG and Dolby Vision HDR, and the results are genuinely impressive for a phone in this price bracket.
Colour depth is strong, highlights don&rsquo;t blow out easily, and you can still use pro formats at 4K 120, which is wild. Stabilisation is the only area that needs polish &mdash; quick pans, fast movement and low-light clips can introduce wobble or jitter that breaks the otherwise solid footage.
The selfie camera lands firmly in the middle. In good lighting it&rsquo;s sharp and vibrant, but in poor light it slips quickly. There&rsquo;s no autofocus either, which hurts group shots or close-range framing more than you&rsquo;d expect.

On the software side, the GT 8 Pro Dream Edition boots straight into Realme UI 7 on top of Android 16. It&rsquo;s actually the first Realme phone to launch with it out of the box, so you&rsquo;re getting the newest version without waiting for an update.
Because this is the Dream Edition, Realme went all-in on the Aston Martin theme. The UI comes pre-dressed in racing green accents, custom icons, and F1-style wallpapers. It&rsquo;s cool for the first few days, but after that, I switched back to the standard icon pack because it&rsquo;s cleaner and way easier to live with.
Realme is promising 4 years of major Android updates and 5 years of security patches, which puts it in a comfortably &ldquo;flagship&rdquo; upgrade cycle. Not quite Samsung or Google territory, but much better than expected.
The big visual change is something Realme calls &ldquo;Light Glass.&rdquo; Think translucent widgets, softer highlights, and a more layered lockscreen that mimics depth. Yes, there&rsquo;s obvious inspiration from iOS 26, but to Realme&rsquo;s credit, it doesn&rsquo;t feel like a copy-paste. It feels like their take on the idea.
Expanded icons are genuinely useful &mdash; tap and stretch an app icon, and it turns into a mini widget with shortcuts. It&rsquo;s quicker than long-press menus and way more intuitive. There are also video lockscreen backgrounds and a revamped theming engine that finally paints the UI more consistently instead of half-colouring everything.
The AI additions are everywhere but not in your face. You get Google&rsquo;s big hitters like Gemini Assistant, Gemini Live, Circle to Search, and instant translation on-screen. Inside the gallery, Realme adds its own tools like AI Eraser, AI Ultra Clarity, Unblur, Perfect Shot, and a few other smart edits that actually deliver usable results. They&rsquo;re not &ldquo;demo features,&rdquo; they&rsquo;re things you will genuinely end up using.
Then there&rsquo;s Mind Space &mdash; the same system you&rsquo;ll find on the Oppo Find X9 Pro and on the OnePlus lineup as Plus Mind. It&rsquo;s basically a digital catch-all for everything your brain wants to collect throughout the day. Screenshots, notes, links, webpages &mdash; dump them all in, and AI organizes the chaos into summaries and reference boards. If you&rsquo;re a student, a reviewer, or someone who constantly screenshots ideas, this might be your new favourite app.
<h2>Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition: 7,000mAh Battery &amp; 120W Fast Charging</h2>
The 7,000mAh battery on this thing is borderline absurd &mdash; in a good way. I was cruising past six and a half to seven hours of screen-on time without trying to baby it.&nbsp;
But, as always, gaming is where the real story shows up. Forty-five minutes of Call of Duty: Mobile knocked off around 11% of the charge. That&rsquo;s almost double what the OnePlus 15 burns through in the same session, and that phone is literally pushing 165fps. So if you&rsquo;re grinding competitive matches or long sessions, the battery will remind you it&rsquo;s human.
Charging is where Realme flexes. With 120W wired charging and Smart Rapid enabled, it jumps from zero to full in about 45&ndash;50 minutes. Switch that mode off, and the charge time stretches past an hour, but the phone stays noticeably cooler while it juices up &mdash; which I&rsquo;ll take any day. There&rsquo;s 50W wireless charging too. Not crazy fast, but perfect for that &ldquo;drop and forget&rdquo; desk or bedside setup.

But then you hit a few head-scratchers. A USB 2.0 port on an almost ₹80k phone. An LTPS panel instead of LTPO. A camera plate swap system that feels gimmicky.
Spend a few days with it though, and the real personality shows. This is Realme at its loudest, most experimental, and honestly, most fun.&nbsp;

Realme 15 Pro goes all in on cameras, display and AI&mdash;but can it outplay the Nord CE 5&rsquo;s speed or the Phone 3a&rsquo;s vibe? Here&rsquo;s our take after real-world testing.

The Realme 15 Pro is the latest addition to the brand&rsquo;s popular number series, and, as always, there&rsquo;s a lot of excitement around it.
But it faces some tough competition from the Nord CE 5, a straight-up performance beast, and the Nothing Phone 3a a phone that oozes style.&nbsp;
I&rsquo;ve been using all three for a while now, and I&rsquo;ve got thoughts.
<h2>Performance</h2>
Let&rsquo;s talk performance, because on the surface, all three of these phones sound solid.&nbsp;
The Realme 15 Pro rocks the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, the Nord CE 5 is on the Dimensity 8350 Apex and the Nothing Phone 3a, runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.
But, the Realme &amp; Nothing get LPDDR4X RAM, while the Nord CE 5 steps it up with LPDDR5X RAM. For storage, Realme and Nord bring UFS 3.1, whereas Nothing, sticks to UFS 2.2. Not exactly a wise choice.
Also, only the OnePlus supports expandable storage, and I am all for it.
In Antutu, the Nord CE 5 absolutely smoked the other two with a score of over 1.4 million. Realme wasn&rsquo;t bad, it scored about 1.09 million, but Nothing didn&rsquo;t even hit a million.
3DMark&rsquo;s Wildlife Extreme Stress test was wild. The Nord had the highest loop score of 3035, but its stability was just 33.2%. Both Realme and Nothing had a stability of over 99%, but their loop scores were way lower. In fact, Nothing&rsquo;s score was a third of what OnePlus&rsquo; score, which is insane.
In the CPU throttle test however, the Nothing Phone 3a impressed. It dropped to just 92% and had solid scores. Realme dropped to 89%, but had the highest peak performance. The Nord kinda fell apart here. It throttled to 69%, and had the lowest average.
But like I've always said, benchmarks are just numbers. Gaming tells you way more.
Both Realme and OnePlus support 90fps in BGMI, but OnePlus has some clever, frame-boosting tricks. In a 10-minute match, it averaged 118.4fps, dipping to just 112.5 fps for 5% lows. It also ran cooler at 37.4&deg;C.&nbsp;
Realme also did well, averaging 89.5 fps. But the 5% lows dropped to 86.1, and it ran warm at 40.1&deg;C.&nbsp;
The Phone 3a supports 120fps in BGMI, but we never crossed 90. It averaged 89.8fps with max temps at 34&deg;C.
I mean, sure, it's stable, but what&rsquo;s the point if it can&rsquo;t deliver what it should?
Also, shoutout to OnePlus and Realme for including bypass charging. That&rsquo;s a lifesaver during long gaming sessions.&nbsp;
So if gaming&rsquo;s a big deal for you, this is pretty much a two-horse race. But what about cameras?
<h2>Cameras</h2>
Well, the Nothing Phone 3a packs a solid setup&mdash;a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP 2x telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide.&nbsp;
The Realme looks like it comes with three cameras, but actually, it&rsquo;s just a 50MP main with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide. On the front though, it flexes with a 50MP selfie shooter.&nbsp;
The Nord CE 5 keeps it simple with a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide, and a 16MP selfie cam.
All three main cameras are solid, but each has its quirks. Realme usually nails shots but fumbles white balance here and there.&nbsp;
Nothing Phone 3a sometimes underexposes in bright light, and the Nord CE 5 plays it safe&mdash;consistent, but not exciting.&nbsp;
That said, I&rsquo;d still pick the Phone 3a. Its colours pop, and the detail is just a bit sharper.
In low light Realme takes the crown. It grabs the most detail and nails exposure.&nbsp;
Nothing tends to over-brighten, and the Nord often ends up too dark.&nbsp;
Ultrawide is another win for Realme &mdash;great detail, even if a bit dim. Nothing and Nord are fine, but Nord&rsquo;s output feels the flattest.
Video is a mixed bag. Nothing maxes out at 4K30, while the other two go up to 4K60. All three of them have pretty good stabilisation. But I&rsquo;d still go with Nothing&mdash;it looks better, and has better colours.
Realme nails selfies with sharp detail and solid edge detection, while the Phone 3a also holds up well. Nord&rsquo;s photos feel flat and occasionally off in colour.
For me, the Nothing Phone 3a is the best overall camera pick, thanks to its versatile setup. Realme comes in a close second with strong low-light and ultrawide performance.
Now, let's quickly take a look at the other stuff.&nbsp;
<h2>Design</h2>
The Nord CE 5 also looks great, especially in this blue finish, but still misses out on the alert slider and even the new plus key.
Realme 15 Pro has a mostly plastic body. Ours came in Silky Purple, which looks nice, but I don&rsquo;t like how cheap the plastic back feels. &nbsp;However, Realme does feel the lightest and slimmest in the hand.&nbsp;
Nothing of course, has its glyph lights, but the Realme too has a cool, colour-changing pulse ring around one of the cameras to alert you about notifications.
You can also shake the Realme 15 Pro to launch the camera or turn on the torch &mdash; a trick borrowed from Moto phones. It&rsquo;s just as gimmicky, but I have to admit, I kind of like it.
Realme also wins big on durability with its IP66, 68, and 69 ratings, along with Gorilla Glass 7i on the front.&nbsp;
Nord has IP65, and Nothing settles for IP64 with Panda Glass.&nbsp;
<h2>Display</h2>
Realme also crushes it on display&mdash;6.8-inch, 10-bit AMOLED panel, 1800 nits HBM, 6500 nits peak brightness&mdash;it has all the impressive numbers. To me, it looks brighter and better than the other two, in every way, though I am not a fan of the quad-curved panel.
Weirdly though, it is a 144Hz panel that only works in some system apps, not in games. Maybe a software update will fix that&hellip;
Now, both the Realme and Nothing come with stereo speakers, but the Nord only packs a mono set-up, which was a massive red flag for me
<h2>Software</h2>
When it comes to software, Nothing OS is clean and minimal with 3+6 years of updates, but OnePlus edges ahead with 4+6 years and a smoother OxygenOS 15 experience. Realme UI is more cluttered but loaded with AI tools like voice editing and glare removal in photos, though it only offers 2+3 years of software support.
OnePlus has its own AI tools, but it&rsquo;s not as stacked as Realme. So if you care about AI features, Realme easily offers the most to play with.

The Realme Buds Air 7 Pro aren&rsquo;t just a minor upgrade&mdash;they&rsquo;re taking a big swing with premium features like dual drivers, Hi-Res audio, and 53dB ANC.
I&rsquo;ve been testing these out over the past week&mdash;on commutes, during workouts, and even in a bit of rain&mdash;and what stood out wasn&rsquo;t just the design or specs, but how balanced everything feels. They promise big on paper, but do they really deliver where it counts? Let&rsquo;s break it down.
<h3>Realme Buds Air 7 Pro: Design</h3>
Let&rsquo;s start with the design, because I was genuinely impressed by how the Realme Buds Air7 Pro looked and felt. I tested the Fiery Red variant, and the faux-leather finish on the case felt premium and grippy, way better than the cheap glossy plastic I&rsquo;ve seen on most earbuds.
And if you want more style options, there&rsquo;s Racing Green and Metallic Grey too, which come with aluminium-finished cases instead of leather. The cases for the Racing Green and Metallic Grey versions have an aluminium finish, offering a different feel.
That said, I do wish Realme had gone with a more rounded, pebble-like design. The current squarish shape is fine and still slips into pockets easily, but a more curved profile would&rsquo;ve elevated the feel even further.
The buds themselves have a sleek stem. The buds also fit really well in my ears. You of course multiple-sized options for the eartips. Comfort-wise, I had no complaints, even after hours of use.
I liked the dual-tone look, with a mix of matte and glossy surfaces on the buds. It added a nice bit of flair. The glossy parts might get scratched over time, but they&rsquo;ve held up so far for me. I wore these during workouts and even ran in light rain, and they never once fell out. The IP55 rating definitely adds peace of mind in sweaty or dusty conditions.

Let&rsquo;s start with the design. The GT 7 has a plastic back and frame, which might not scream premium, but feels rock solid.
It&rsquo;s built like a tank, and comes with an IP69 rating, so it can handle everything from accidental dunks into a pool to high-pressure water jets.
The variant I&rsquo;ve got is the IceSense Blue, which looks very minimal, almost basic. But Realme has added these subtle red accents on the power button and the camera island that give it some personality. The matte-ish finish is also great at hiding fingerprints and smudges.
Interestingly, Realme says the rear panel helps cool the phone by pulling heat away from the processor &mdash; I&rsquo;ll get into that a little bit more, but later.
<h3>Realme GT 7&nbsp;Performance</h3>
Realme&rsquo;s calling the GT 7 a performance beast, and to be fair, it&rsquo;s got the chops to back that up. Realme claims it scores over 2.5 million on AnTuTu, but in our tests, the number was closer to 2.1 million. It's still super impressive, just not quite as high as they promised.
The GT 7 is powered by MediaTek&rsquo;s new Dimensity 9400e chipset &mdash; a slightly trimmed-down version of the flagship Dimensity 9400.
It has been paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, so app launches are buttery smooth and multitasking doesn&rsquo;t even make the phone flinch.
We also get a solid gaming experience. We got 120 FPS in BGMI and ultra frame rates in Call of Duty: Mobile. The gameplay is fluid, the thermals stay well under control, and the phone doesn&rsquo;t throttle even after long sessions. That&rsquo;s mostly thanks to this new IceSense Graphene cooling tech that Realme&rsquo;s trying out.
Apparently, the back panel doubles as a cooling system, and it seems to work. Temperatures stayed pretty manageable even when I was pushing the phone hard. Performance-wise, the GT 7 absolutely delivers.
<h3>Realme GT 7&nbsp;Battery</h3>
Now, one of the biggest highlights of the Realme GT 7 has to be its battery. Realme has somehow packed a massive 7000mAh battery into this slim and lightweight body. As a result, the battery life on this thing is absolutely wild.
I&rsquo;ve only had to charge it twice in five days, and mind you, that was with regular benchmarking tests, gaming sessions, and a whole lot of screen time. In regular day-to-day use, you can easily stretch the GT7 to two full days, and maybe even more.
And when you finally need to top up, you get a 120W charger right in the box. It takes the phone from dead to 100% in just 45 minutes, which is insane for something with this much juice.
<h3>Conclusion</h3>
So yeah, the GT 7 is shaping up to be a serious all-rounder &mdash; great battery, killer performance, and a solid design.
Now, we don&rsquo;t know the official price yet &mdash; Realme&rsquo;s revealing that on May 27 &mdash; but if their GT 6 pricing is anything to go by, we&rsquo;re expecting it to launch around ₹40,000 to ₹45,000. With bank and launch offers, you might even snag it closer to ₹35,000 to ₹40,000. And at that price, this thing&rsquo;s an absolute steal.

I know you've probably got a lot of questions about this powerhouse of a chip.
How much does it score on AnTuTu? Does it stay cool under pressure? How does it handle gaming and is it significantly better than the previous Snapdragon 8 Gen 3?&nbsp;
To start with, let&rsquo;s break down what makes this chipset special. It&rsquo;s called the Snapdragon 8 Elite because it now incorporates eight Orion cores, with two clocked at a blazing 4.32 GHz and six at 3.53 GHz.&nbsp;
This upgrade pushes the clock speeds well beyond what we saw in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and even Apple's latest A18 Pro chip in their new iPhones.
Plus, Realme has upgraded the GPU and introduced a new AI engine with the Snapdragon 8 Elite on the GT 7 Pro.&nbsp;
On paper, this makes it one of the most powerful setups out there. But let&rsquo;s see how it actually performs in benchmarks.&nbsp;
<h3>Realme GT 7 Pro AnTutu Score</h3>
We started with the AnTuTu test, where I was hoping it would hit that 3 million mark as per reports.&nbsp;
It came close, scoring 2.62 million with the GT mode disabled, and surprisingly, a lower 2.58 million with the GT mode enabled.&nbsp;
This still marks a 20-24% leap over last year&rsquo;s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which hit a peak of around 2.1 million on the iQOO 12.
<h3>Realme GT 7 Pro Geekbench Score</h3>
On the Geekbench CPU test, the Snapdragon 8 Elite flexes its power, achieving 2932 points in single-core and a whopping 9043 in multi-core tests. For GPU performance, it stands strong with an impressive 16807 on the OpenCL score.
To check its sustained performance, I ran a CPU throttling test on the Realme GT 7 Pro.&nbsp;
Over a 15-minute, 20-thread test, the phone throttled down to about 74%.&nbsp;

With the CPU benchmarks done, let&rsquo;s dive into the GPU performance and see how the new upgrades stack up.&nbsp;
In Geekbench, the scores show clear improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in both OpenCL and Vulkan tests, which is promising.

But for a real GPU workout, I turned to 3DMark's Wildlife Extreme benchmark, which runs for 20 minutes to test sustained graphics power.&nbsp;
Here, the Snapdragon 8 Elite scored an impressive 5893&mdash;a noticeable upgrade over the 8 Gen 3. The GT 7 Pro achieved a stability rating of 71.7% in this test.
During these tests, temperatures did spike, reaching the 45-degree Celsius mark. While this wasn&rsquo;t uncomfortable, I believe the GT 7 Pro can stay cooler with better software optimisations in the final production version.&nbsp;
These improvements could enhance the overall user experience and maintain optimal performance.
<h3>Realme GT 7 Pro BGMI Test</h3>
The Snapdragon 8 Elite shows promise as a solid upgrade, but the real test is in gaming. I put it to the test with BGMI, everyone's favourite.
In a 30-minute session at 90fps and &lsquo;Smooth&rsquo; graphics settings, the phone performed flawlessly&mdash;no frame drops or overheating.&nbsp;
Additionally, BGMI also runs smoothly at 40fps with &lsquo;Ultra HDR&rsquo; graphics.&nbsp;
Overall, for gaming, the Realme GT 7 Pro delivers.&nbsp;
Outside of gaming and benchmarks, the phone also feels exceptionally smooth in everyday use.&nbsp;

Realme has been lightning-quick with its P-series updates. Less than a year since its inception, we are already on the third generation model.
But, this Realme P3 Pro is actually impressive for the price. It starts at ₹23,999 for the base 8GB+128GB variant, but you can get it for ₹21,999 with launch offers.
<h3>Realme P3 Pro Design, Display &amp; Audio</h3>
In fact, value for money hasn't been Realme&rsquo;s forte of late, but the P3 Pro completely changes that.
You can actually call it the Realme 14 Pro+ Lite, if that makes sense.&nbsp;
Okay, so the moment I unboxed the P3 Pro, it was obvious that it shares almost every design cue with the Realme 14 Pro+. From the dimensions to the button layout and even the subtle curves on the front and rear, both devices look like twins.&nbsp;
This is pretty awesome, since you are essentially getting the quality in-hand feel of the 14 Pro+, but at a more affordable price point. The P3 Pro is probably the best built smartphone in its segment despite being made of plastic.
Obviously, the camera island is different, because there isn&rsquo;t much emphasis on cameras on this thing, but we&rsquo;ll talk about that later.
So, the 14 Pro+ launched with a silly party trick, where putting it in icy water changed its rear pattern. Well, the P3 Pro also has a bespoke trick of its own.
This Nebular Glow colourway absorbs UV light and glows at night with this trippy texture. Realme says it mimics ultraviolet light interacting with oxygen atoms in space.
I'm not sure about the space part, but yeah, it looks super psychedelic.
If this is too much for you then worry not, because subtler colour options are on offer as well.&nbsp;
The P3 Pro is quite durable too: it features Gorilla Glass 7i protection on its display and offers up to an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.&nbsp;
Let&rsquo;s move onto the display now, which is quite great as well. By the way, this is also the same display as the Realme 14 Pro+.&nbsp;
So, you get a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel which is quad micro-curved. You also get symmetrical bezels which is quite a big deal on an affordable smartphone like this one.&nbsp;
The display also has a 120Hz refresh rate, but its implementation isn&rsquo;t particularly good because even after forcing 120Hz, some apps still ran on 90 or 60Hz.&nbsp;
Anyway, this display has a good enough HBM brightness of 1200 nits. Plus, it is also HDR10 and Widewine L1 certified.
Adding to the multimedia experience are dual stereo speakers. They&rsquo;re quite loud and offer decent bass, but the top end can sound harsh at high volumes. I suggest capping it at around 70% for the best audio balance.
<h3>Realme P3 Pro Performance &amp; Software</h3>
Let&rsquo;s now talk about this phone&rsquo;s performance. This phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, which, as you&rsquo;ve guessed it, is also used on the Realme 14 Pro+. It is not a very powerful chip for the 14 Pro+, but it&rsquo;s quite great for the P3 Pro&rsquo;s segment.&nbsp;
It managed to score 8.3 lakh points on Antutu. Its CPU&rsquo;s stability performance is also pretty impressive when put under stress.
The 7s Gen 3 is perfectly capable of playing BGMI at 90fps. But best of all, we noticed no frame drops or overheating during our 30 minute gaming session. You can also bypass charging to keep temperatures in check while gaming.
On the software front, there is Realme UI 6 built on top of Android 15. Typical of most Realme phones, there are loads of pre-installed apps here, and those infamous hot apps &amp; games folders too.&nbsp;
However, as a whole, the UI is pretty smooth to navigate by segment standards, which is aided by UFS 3.1 storage.&nbsp;
The haptics on this device are also quite impressive for the price, which make typing and scrolling quite enjoyable.
Realme UI 6 has some pretty useful AI features as well, especially for photo editing and writing in the notes app.&nbsp;

<h3>Realme P3 Pro Cameras</h3>
Alright, it&rsquo;s time to shift focus on the camera system, which in fact is the only major area where the P3 Pro differs from the Realme 14 Pro+.
It does not get ultrawide and telephoto sensors: the three cutouts you see in the camera island include a flash, a 50MP primary sensor, plus a fairly pointless 2MP depth sensor.
The good news is that the primary sensor is the same IMX896 with OIS as seen on the Realme 14 Pro+. There&rsquo;s HyperImage+ post processing too.

I was thoroughly impressed by this camera&rsquo;s detail retention and dynamic range across multiple scenarios. There&rsquo;s also a portrait mode with good bokeh drop off and edge detection, but colours do appear muted in this mode. Night time shots also turn out to be great for a mid-range smartphone.&nbsp;
This sensor can take 4K 30fps videos as well, but there&rsquo;s literally no stabilization at 4K. Details remain quite decent though.&nbsp;
Selfies from the 16MP front camera are quite impressive in terms of sharpness and skin tones.&nbsp;

Moving on, this smartphone has a huge 6,000mAh battery, which ensures that you&rsquo;ll get around 9 hours of screen time with medium use, which is fantastic.

Now the two phones might look like they&rsquo;re made for completely different people: Poco is all about power and speed for gamers, while the Realme is about capturing great photos.&nbsp;
But chances are if you&rsquo;re shopping for a solid mid-range all-rounder, you will consider cross-shopping them. So, in this review, we&rsquo;ll dive into which phone really earns that space in your pocket.&nbsp;
<h3>Realme 14 Pro+ vs Poco X7 Pro: Design&nbsp;</h3>
Design-wise, the Realme 14 Pro+ is an evolution of the Realme 13 Pro+, and it feels a lot more premium than the Poco X7 Pro.
The Realme is flatter than its predecessor, because it opts for quad micro curved front and back panels as compared to dual side curved panels on the 13 Pro+.
But, the 14 Pro+ has a party trick this time around. This pearl white colour of our review device not only looks great with its shell-like textures, but it also changes colours under certain conditions.
When exposed to extremely cold water or ice, the pattern turns from pearl white to blue, resembling ocean waves. This looks amazing for sure, but it&rsquo;s also not very handy because finding ice in random scenarios is not ideal. Although putting ice on it won&rsquo;t bother it much thanks to its IP69 rating.
On the other hand, the Poco X7 Pro adopts a distinct design language, featuring a flatter profile compared to the Realme. It sports a vegan leather back with bold colour combinations, including a striking yellow-black option which is loud and might not appeal to everyone.
The Realme 14 Pro + too can be snagged in vegan leather if you opt for the grey colour option.
<h3>Realme 14 Pro+ vs Poco X7 Pro: Display</h3>
The X7 Pro features a slightly larger 6.73-inch flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate, making it well-suited for gaming. The panel is Widevine L1 certified and supports HDR 10+, ensuring a good viewing experience.
On the other hand, the Realme 14 Pro+ has a slightly bigger 6.82-inch AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. As mentioned before this display is micro curved on all sides. But more importantly, it has slimmer and symmetrical bezels which add to its premium feel.
Both smartphones use Gorilla Glass 7i for display protection.
<h3>Realme 14 Pro+ vs Poco X7 Pro: Performance</h3>
The true highlight of the X7 Pro, is its Dimensity 8400 Ultra chip. This processor aims to bring flagship-level performance to the mid-range segment, and it doesn&rsquo;t disappoint.
Benchmarking scores place it between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 in terms of raw power, a remarkable feat for its price point. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 on the Realme simply cannot keep up.
While gaming, the X7 Pro is quite flawless. It showed smooth gameplay in titles like BGMI at 60fps, with support for 90fps expected to be added soon. The Poco even stays pretty cool while gaming.
On the other hand, the Realme 14 Pro+ can also handle BGMI at 60fps, although I&rsquo;ll suggest keeping the graphics settings lower to avoid frame drops.&nbsp;
But obviously, Poco can play demanding games like Genshin Impact pretty well thanks to the power on tap, which is something that the Realme struggles with.
<h3>Realme 14 Pro+ vs Poco X7 Pro: Software</h3>
Software wise, you get Android 15 on both smartphones, but Realme definitely provides a better experience. Realme UI 6 has less bloatware and does not bombard you with spam notifications like Poco&rsquo;s Hyper OS 2 does.&nbsp;
On the other hand, AI features are much better baked into Poco as compared to Realme
Also, Poco offers faster UFS 4.0 storage on its 256GB version, versus Realme&rsquo;s UFS 3.1, so it opens heavy games faster.
<h3>Realme 14 Pro+ vs Poco X7 Pro: Cameras</h3>
The cameras should theoretically be the Realme 14 Pro+&rsquo;s strength.
It features three rear sensors: 50MP main, a 50MP 3x telephoto and an 8MP ultrawide. You would have also noticed that the Relame has 3 rear flashlights. These lights can be mixed and adjusted to create various colour temperatures that fit with your skin tones. Consider it Realme&rsquo;s version of Vivo&rsquo;s Aura Light.
On the other hand, The X7 Pro has two rear sensors: a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide.

Comparing the main sensor, we see that in ample light, there&rsquo;s no real winner here. While the Realme captures more detail, Poco does have better dynamic range in a few situations.
But, the Poco just cannot keep up with the Realme in low light shots. Realme&rsquo;s triple flashlight setup does help with enhancing low light portraits, but it needs specific situations to work the best.
It is also surprising to see that the camera-focus Realme 14 Pro+ does not record 4K 60fps videos with its main sensor, while the Poco X7 can. Also, Poco ends up giving more stable footage.
As far as ultrawide cameras are concerned, they are fine on both, giving a decent level of detail. Although both ultrawide cameras do not match the colours of their respective main cameras.
Realme 14 Pro+&rsquo;s optically stabilised telephoto camera is capable of taking some great portraits with very good edge detection.&nbsp;
The camera can also zoom at up to 120x, providing valuable information in specific scenarios.&nbsp;
The telephoto camera can also film videos at 4K 30fps, giving usable footage.
As for selfie cameras, it is a complete win for the Realme 14 Pro+, as the Poco X7 Pro has issues with exposing the subject&rsquo;s face properly.
<h3>Realme 14 Pro+ vs Poco X7 Pro: Battery Life &amp; Charging</h3>
The battery life has a strong point for the X7 Pro thanks to its large 6550mAh battery utilising Silicon Carbon tech. Users can expect around 8.5 to 9 hours of screen time with mixed to heavy usage. The phone also supports 90W fast charging, making topping up the battery quick and convenient. &nbsp;&nbsp;
The Realme has a pretty big 6000mAh battery, giving it a pretty strong 7.5 to 8 hours of screen time. Also, Realme features super-quick 80W charging as well. Also, Realme features super-quick 80W charging as well.
Evidently, these numbers are of mixed use. If you play too much, or record too many videos, your mileage will vary.

It is a trend nowadays to judge a phone by its chipset, but, if I had to pick one well-rounded smartphone for around ₹30,000, I will gravitate towards the Realme 14 Pro+. It feels much better built, has superior cameras, and a better software experience when compared to the X7 Pro.
Sure, the Poco X7 Pro delivers class-leading performance, and slightly better battery life. But the Realme 14 Pro+ will still provide a more complete and satisfying overall experience for most users.

It surprisingly scored a bit less with the performance-focused GT mode enabled. Also, enabling GT mode did reduce the battery life, without adding much to the performance, so I suggest keeping it disabled.&nbsp;
For GPU performance, the 3DMark Wildlife Extreme benchmark resulted in a peak score of 5893, which is lesser than the Dimensity 9400&rsquo;s best score. However, the stability rating of the GT 7 Pro was quite impressive.&nbsp;
In a 30-minute BGMI gaming session at 90fps with &lsquo;Smooth&rsquo; graphics, the phone showed no frame drops or overheating. It also ran smoothly at 40fps with &lsquo;Ultra HDR&rsquo; graphics.&nbsp;
You also get frame rate interpolation which artificially boosts the game frame rate to up to 120fps and it works quite well.
Interestingly, while this phone did get quite hot during benchmark tests, it maintained respectable temperatures while gaming. So, thermal throttling shouldn't be much of an issue here.
Realme GT 7 Pro Design
Now, moving on to the design, the GT 7 Pro sports a fresh, bold look that I really like. The squarish camera island with its extended border, and subtle copper accent gives a distinctive look to this smartphone.
Then, this Galaxy Grey colourway of our review unit has a brushed metal texture and a matt finish which looks great. But, if you love bold and vibrant colours, the available Mars Orange option could be perfect for you.&nbsp;
The premium feel of the metal frame and glass back gives this smartphone a top-notch in-hand experience.&nbsp;
Realme GT 7 Pro Battery &amp; Charging
This smartphone has a nice weighty feel to it, partly due to its high quality construction, and partly due to its big 5800mAh battery.&nbsp;
This is a silicon carbide battery with higher energy density than lithium ones, allowing for either a smaller battery with the same capacity or a larger capacity in the same size.
Therefore, the Realme GT 7 Pro packs stays decently slim at 8.55mm despite packing a big battery.
However, the Chinese unit of this smartphone has a 6,500mAh battery. Realme claims that they downsized the battery on the India unit due to regulatory issues, but still a difference of 700mAh is quite significant.&nbsp;
Still, 5800mAh is quite big by any standard so, a 9-hour+ screen time with mixed use can easily be achieved on this smartphone.&nbsp;
Plus, you still get that quick 120W fast charger in the box. It can fully charge this battery from 0-100 in around half an hour.
However, wireless charging is notably absent here, and it's an essential flagship feature that Realme shouldn't have skipped.
Realme GT 7 Pro Display &amp; Utility
Good looks and big battery aside, the GT 7 Pro also gets the added durability with an IP69 rating and Gorilla Glass 7i protection for its display.
Then, it gets an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner which worked quite well in my experience.
Talking of the display, it's a Samsung-made 6.78-inch LTPO OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 120% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage and delivers an astonishing peak brightness of 6500 nits when viewing HDR content.
But, in practical use, its 2000 nits brightness in high brightness mode still ensures it remains brilliantly visible, even in direct sunlight.
In case you haven&rsquo;t already noticed, this display is not fully flat: it is micro curved on all 4 edges. This is a trend that we&rsquo;re gonna see on a lot of Chinese flagship phones this year, and frankly, I&rsquo;m not a big fan of it.&nbsp;
You see, traditional curved displays, despite being less practical, offer a premium look. On the other hand, fully flat displays prioritise practicality. These micro curves seem like an unnecessary addition which doesn't add much aesthetic or practical value to a smartphone.&nbsp;
Realme GT 7 Pro Software &amp; AI
Coming to software, you get Realme UI 6 here, which, like always, is quite feature rich and works really well on this phone thanks to 16GB of RAM on my test unit. Bloatware has thankfully been kept in check on this phone, but the Glance lock screen still remains.&nbsp;
Realme has enhanced this phone&rsquo;s software with a powerful AI suite, particularly for photo editing. There's also a new Samsung-like draw-to-image AI generator, but it's limited to 10 generations per day.
However, most of these AI features will not work without an internet connection.&nbsp;
I mean, what's the point of boasting about the latest and greatest chipset with powerful neural processors if everything is being processed online?
Anyway, the GT 7 Pro will get 3 OS updates and 4 security updates. Qulacomm is officially supporting the Snapdragon 8 Elite for 8 years, so Realme really needs to work on its update policy in this competitive market.
Realme GT 7 Pro Cameras
Finally, lets talk about those cameras. The GT 7 Pro packs 3 lenses at the back: a 50MP main, a 50MP 3x telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide.&nbsp;

I really like how images from all sensors remain colour matched with true to life colours. I also found the photos taken by the main camera to be quite impressive with a good amount of detail and dynamic range. Nightime photos are fine but not quite flagship grade because of muted shadows.&nbsp;
Videos from the main sensor are not very impressive since the 4K 60fps footage is not stable enough, while 4K 30fps clips have a lot of noise. You can shoot 8K 24fps footage from this camera too, but I won&rsquo;t recommend it.&nbsp;
The 50MP telephoto camera takes great portraits with nice bokeh drop off and accurate edge detection. But portraits come great only if there is ample light.&nbsp;
This sensor does not work in low light, which is typically a mid-range phone behaviour, and it should be fixed via an update. It also occasionally struggles with focusing on the subject. &nbsp;&nbsp;
The ultrawide is pretty good by 8MP sensor standards, as long as you give it enough light.
The 16MP front camera does a fine job by producing accurate skin tones and good dynamic range.&nbsp;
Realme GT 7 Pro Review
And there you have it, the Realme GT 7 Pro. It strikes a fine balance between performance, display quality, battery life, and design, making it an excellent choice for those who want a powerful phone without breaking the bank.&nbsp;
But, if you&rsquo;re specifically looking for a camera phone, you may need to look elsewhere as its cameras, while solid, don't quite reach flagship levels.
Still, Realme has crafted a surprisingly premium package with the GT 7 Pro, marking a great comeback in the flagship game.
