The video of the incident went viral on social media and the actor was heard pleading with the mob to not hit her. The actor has now taken legal action against the person who put out her video with false claims. &nbsp;

For the unversed, Raveena Tandon was recently embroiled in a big controversy as the actor was accused of assault and rash driving. A group of people attacked her alleging the she assaulted an elderly woman. Later the CCTV evidence proved her innocence and the actor was given a clean chit.&nbsp;
In the latest development, the actor has now sued the person who put out her video on social media. The X user, claiming to be a journalist, was the first one to put out the video on social media. In his caption, he had claimed that Raveena was drunk and assaulted a few people. &nbsp; He was reportedly requested by Raveena&rsquo;s team to pull down the video, but he refused to do so, prompting the actor to file the defamation suit. &nbsp;

As per Hindustan Times report, Raveena Tandon has sent a defamation notice to the freelance journalist who shared the video on June 12. Raveena&rsquo;s lawyer said that it was an attempt to tarnish the actor&rsquo;s image. &ldquo;This dissemination of false news appears to be a deliberate attempt to tarnish Raveena&rsquo;s reputation for ulterior motives. We are currently taking all necessary legal steps to address this issue and ensure that justice is served&rdquo; said Raveena&rsquo;s lawyer. &nbsp;

Recently, a video circulated on social media, showing a woman alleging that Raveena Tandon's car had hit her and that both the actor and her driver had assaulted her. However, a later-released CCTV clip contradicted this claim, suggesting that the woman was not hit by Raveena's car.
According to an HT City report, Tandon has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the incident. The police have also refuted the woman's allegation that Raveena and her driver were intoxicated.
Earlier, DCP Raj Tilak Roshan told India Today that no case was registered against Raveena. He said, &lsquo;Raveena (Tandon) was coming home. Her car was reversing. The lady who walked past got mad at her driver and said drive carefully. The car did not touch the lady, but a verbal spat ensued. Raveena got out and got into an argument. We don't have written complaints from either party, so there is no case.&rsquo;
Following the incident, Kangana Ranaut came out in support of Raveena Tandon. She wrote on her Instagram story, &lsquo;What happened to Raveena Tandon ji is absolutely alarming. Had there been 5-6 more people in the opposite group she would have been lynched. We condemn such road rage outbursts. Those people must be reprimanded. They must not get away with such violent and poisonous behaviour.&rsquo;

A complaint was filed against Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon with the Khar Police, accusing her of rash driving and assault. The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, June 2. &nbsp;A video of the actor being attacked by a mob had also gone viral, leaving her fans concerned. Following this, several reports suggested that the actor was under the influence of alcohol when the incident took place. However, Mumbai police have now refuted the claims, saying it was just a 'minor parking dispute' that spiralled into a controversy.&nbsp;
Speaking with Mid-Day, a Mumbai Police official shared that no one was injured in the incident and neither was Raveena Tandon drunk. They said that the complaints against her including the videos were fake. The official shared, "We checked the entire CCTV footage of the society and found that the actress's driver was reversing the car from the road into the society when this family was crossing the same lane. The family stopped the car and told the driver that he should check if people were behind the car before reversing. This argument started between them." A report by news agency ANI also confirmed that both parties have denied filing a complaint in the matter.&nbsp;

The video shows the actor surrounded by some people. The alleged victims can be seen calling police, while one particular woman is heard accusing the actor of assault. &ldquo;My nose is bleeding. She (Raveena) assaulted me,&rdquo; shouted a woman. Another can be heard saying, &ldquo;You (Raveena) have assaulted my mother.&rdquo; The actor then went on to request the people to not record videos. She requested the mob to not hit her. She said, &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t push. Please don&rsquo;t hit me.&rdquo;&nbsp;
Later, one of the alleged victim claimed that Raveena was drunk and tried defending her driver and assaulted his mother. The man claimed that his mother has suffered injuries due to Raveena&rsquo;s assault. &nbsp;On the other hand, the actor is yet to issue a statement on the entire matter.&nbsp;
<h2>No complaint filed: Report</h2>
Meanwhile, some reports suggest that Raveena&rsquo;s car did not touch anyone. A Times of India report said that no complaint has been filed in the case. The report quoted DCP Raj Tilak as saying, &ldquo;Raveena Tandon&rsquo;s driver was taking a reverse to park the car, and around that time, the other party was passing by and started shouting &lsquo;gaadi chala rahe hai&rsquo; (they are running over us). And nothing happened, the car has not even brushed against any of them. They started fighting and Raveena also came out and she started to fight with them.&rdquo;&nbsp;

Actor Raveena Tandon has opened up about the challenges and criticisms she faced when she decided to adopt two girls, Pooja and Chaya, as a single mother in 1995. The kids were 11 and 8 years old, respectively.
In an interview with Zoom, Raveena said, &lsquo;Whenever you do something, there will always be these trolls or someone will make some sexist remark, trying to create controversies out of nothing. I remember one article even saying that these must be her (Raveena&rsquo;s) hidden children, which she must have had out of wedlock. When I was 21, they were eight and 11. So, when did I have them? When I was 11 or 12? Trolling happens even today&hellip; Anything you do, there will be trolling. I say you shouldn&rsquo;t pay attention to these people&rsquo;.
&lsquo;Some &lsquo;well-meaning&rsquo; aunties asked who will marry me now, because I come with excess baggage. I was like, whoever loves me will love me, my girls, my dogs, my cat, and whoever I come with,&rsquo; the actor said.
Besides Rasha, Pooja, and Chaya, Raveena Tandon and Anil Thadani have one more child &mdash; Ranbirvardhan.
When asked how she adapted to the changes as a mother in the 90s and 2000s, the actor said, &lsquo;When my girls came to me, they were eight and 11. So yes, I had to deal with that teenage, rebellious phase wherein they used to argue and fight with me. However, since the age difference was not so much, I think we ended up being very good friends.&rsquo;
&lsquo;I think it all depends on the way you bring up your kids. If you keep putting it in their head that there is a generation gap and such things, stuff won&rsquo;t work. There were so many things that my mom used to tell me&hellip; then I started telling these things to Pooja and Chaya. Now, they have Rasha and Ranbir. So, Pooja and Chaya are now telling these things to Rasha and Ranbir. Then I see Rasha saying these things to Rudra and Jaden. So, it has passed through generations and I hope that we can keep that quality of upbringing amongst our line of family,&rsquo; she added.

She said that the film industry is slowly moving towards that direction but it has been a male-dominated industry since the beginning. &lsquo;We also talk about pay disparity but in the TV industry today, women are paid much higher than their male counterparts, which is a great thing because of the kind of work they do and I think in our TV industry, women rule. In OTT platforms too, the protagonists are mostly women, women issues are discussed,&rsquo; she added. &lsquo;In the film industry, we are going there slowly but surely because it has been a male-dominated industry since the beginning but there is definitely a change. Our women have broken the glass ceiling, we have entered every male bastion...,&rsquo; the actor said. &lsquo;In the world today, there is a change because all the top positions, be it director of photography, our choreographers, our directors, producers, platform heads and channel heads are women. A woman being at the helm of producing something, she understands those issues, she understands the sensitivity, she has the sensibilities so we get more opportunities. There is a lot of change in the film industry that was not there in the 90s. You would get stereotyped for playing a certain character," she said. Actor Raveena Tandon was honoured with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, by President Draupadi Murmu on April 5 during a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. The actor said that she has fulfilled her dad&rsquo;s dream.
In an exclusive conversation with Hindustan Times, she said, 'It was definitely an emotional moment for me because it was something that my father had always dreamt and thought that it would be a proud moment (for him) whenever I get the Padma Shri honour.'
&nbsp;'I did get the honour, but unfortunately, he is not here to see it. So, getting the honour was mixed emotions for me. It came with a bit of happiness and a bit more happiness. More happiness was when I was thinking about him and saying (to myself) that at least, I fulfilled my dad&rsquo;s dream.'
Raveena also spoke about her children Rasha and Ranbir Thadani, who were there with her while she got Padma Shri and said, 'It was very special that my children could see me go and get my Padma Shri in front of the nation. Actor Raveena Tandon and MM Keeravani, who composed the Oscar-winning song &lsquo;Naatu Naatu&rsquo; from &lsquo;RRR&rsquo;, received the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, on Wednesday. They received the award from President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah were also present at the ceremony.
Earlier, expressing her gratitude, Raveena had said, &lsquo;Honoured and grateful. Thank you so much, Government of India, for acknowledging my contributions, my life, my passion and purpose &mdash; cinema and the arts, that allowed me to contribute, not only to the film industry, but beyond. Actor Raveena Tandon opened up about various issues in a recent interview ranging from body shaming to toxic gossip magazines that could ruin someone&rsquo;s career. Speaking with news agency ANI, Raveena said 90s gossip magazines were the worst as they body-shamed women, slut shamed them and would do everything possible to bring another woman down.
Raveena revealed that she was also body-shamed in the film industry. During her interaction with Smita Prakash, the actor said, &lsquo;No no. I was called a lot of things. 90s ke kholo, TTs, thunder thighs&hellip;miss this and miss that&hellip;&rsquo; She continued, &lsquo;I was plump actually. Started at 16 and a half years, and I was full of baby fat yaar&hellip; which still hasn&rsquo;t gone. Though I don&rsquo;t care now.&rsquo;
When told that she is exaggerating the facts, Raveena said, &lsquo;I remember some of these titles. And not only me, but some other heroines were also called that. Instead of supporting women, what they did was&hellip;firstly all these women editors would fall in love with the heroes. And what the heroes said were the last words. If he wanted to pan a woman, the woman would be panned, shamed, literally, her career ruined in the magazines with nasty articles being put out about her. There were so many untrue articles put out because some hero went and said, &ldquo;Acha, uske bare me aab aisa likh do&hellip;&rdquo; and it would be the last word. And if there would be an apology, that would be on the last line of some other issue of the magazine. It would be written &lsquo;The story carried earlier ultimately proved not to be true&rsquo;. And who will read that then? The screaming headlines already made the news, right?&rsquo;
Raveena Tandon said that she decided to take a break after marriage as she was displeased with the &lsquo;viciousness&rsquo; of &lsquo;90s journalism.

Actor Raveena Tandon&rsquo;s latest safari video has invited trouble from the authorities at The Satpura Tiger Reserve as she was allegedly travelling close to a tiger during a safari. As per a report in the news agency PTI, Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) of Forest Dheeraj Singh Chouhan said during Raveena's visit to the reserve on November 22, her vehicle allegedly reached near a tiger. The vehicle driver and the officials on duty there will be served a notice and questioned.

The park is located on the banks of Bhopal's Upper Lake.

In reply, the park management said it was already investigating the incident. Such acts are punishable under the Wildlife Protection Act, it added.
