Comedian Raju Srivastava’s daughter Antara Srivastava took to the former's Instagram on Thursday to give an update on her father’s health. In a statement, she stated that her dad's condition is stable and he continues to recover slowly. She added that Raju is still on the ventilator and requested people everyone to not believe statements other than those shared by AIIMS Delhi and family.

 Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack on August 10 and is admitted to the intensive care unit at AIIMS, Delhi.

Raju Srivastava’s health is now improving. His chief advisor Ajit Saxena has confirmed that the comedian is now able to move his hands and feet as he gained consciousness. He suffered from a heart attack while exercising and was admitted to AIIMS hospital last month.  
Raju remained unconscious for 14 days. He has underwent angioplasty.  India Today quoted Ajit Saxena saying the comedian made movements and interacted with his wife Shikha Srivastava. He also told that Raju’s condition is ‘steadily improving.’ 
Raju’s wife is the only person who is allowed to meet him in the hospital to avoid the risk of infection. Earlier daughter Antara Srivastava had shared an update that the comedian’s condition is stable. 
Earlier some rumors were spreading that Raju’s condition is deteriorating. His wife has urged people not to spread false news. She told PTI, ‘My sincere request is kindly do not spread rumours. It affects our morale. We do not want negative energy, we need positivity. Please pray for his speedy recovery and he will be back soon. Doctors are giving their best and Raju ji is supporting them, He is fighting. So, kindly do not spread negativity.’ 
Raju became really popular for his performance in the first season of the stand-up comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge (2005). He has also starred in movies like ‘Baazigar,’ ‘Maine Pyar Kiya,’ ‘Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya,’ ‘Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon’ and ‘Bombay to Goa.’ He is also the chairperson for Film Development Council Uttar Pradesh.

He further added that Raju&rsquo;s condition is &lsquo;steadily improving&rsquo; as he is now making an effort for quick recovery.
