Indian cinema stalwart Kamal Haasan penned a moving note for his close friend on X, wishing him a happy and successful life &lsquo;today and forever&rsquo;.
Several fans reacted to the post and called the friendship between Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan the &lsquo;best&rsquo;.
Last month, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan ran into each other at a studio, while filming their respective films, 'Thalaivar170' and 'Indian 2', in Chennai. 'An absolute delight to have Rajinikanthji at Matoshri once again', he wrote as the caption for the photo. Along with Thalaiva, the picture includes Uddhav, his wife Reshmi, and their two sons Aditya and Tejas. Rajinikanth was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers in the picture.

Rishab Shetty&rsquo;s &lsquo;Kantara&rsquo; is all set to enter the Rs 300 crore club in worldwide collection. The film has received a lot of love from critics, audience and celebrities from different fields. Now, Rishab has revealed that the film was initially offered to late actor Puneeth Rajkumar but he couldn&rsquo;t come on board due to his busy schedule and other work commitments.
During his conversation with Masth Cinema YouTube channel, the actor-director said, &lsquo;It all happened in a blink of an eye. Soon after I narrated the story to him, he got very excited about the project. He wanted to explore different stories. But, his other projects continued to keep him away from Kantara. One day, he called me and asked me to go ahead with the film without him. He told me that if I waited for him, I may not be able to do the film that year.&rsquo;
Rishab further revealed that he met the late actor at the pre-release event of &lsquo;Bajarangi 2&rsquo; where he enquired about the project (Kantara).
&lsquo;He enquired me about the project and asked me not to compromise on my vision for the film. I showed him a few still pictures from the shoot. He was very happy for me. And he told me he was eager to watch the film,&rsquo; he said.

Actor-director Rishab Shetty is overwhelmed as &lsquo;Kantara&rsquo; is the doing wonders at the box office. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, he said that he never expected the film do &lsquo;this well&rsquo; commercially.
&lsquo;The film is about man and nature&rsquo;s relationship, and a part of Karnataka folklore. So I wanted to present this to people in my original language. But then the demand started for other versions as well. On Twitter, people would message me &lsquo;Hindi, Telugu, Tamil mein release karo, isko pan India karo&rsquo;. Mujhe pan India mein interest nahi tha to begin with,&rsquo; he said Shetty.
Rishab Shetty said people themselves have promoted the film a lot on social media and it is due to the word of mouth that film has performed well. He said the taste of the audience has changed and they have started to connect and get conscious about Indian traditions.

A grand audio and trailer launch event of ‘Ponniyan Selvan’ was held in Chennai on Tuesday night (September 6). Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who plays Queen Nandini, attended the event along with entire star cast of the film. Superstars Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan were also on the guest list.
Aishwarya won hearts at the event with her sweet gesture towards Rajnikanth and director Mani Ratnam, videos of which are going viral on the internet. Aishwarya, who was elated to reunite with her ‘2.0’ co-star Rajinikanth, was seen touching his feet and hugging him. He was the chief guest of the event.
Aishwarya was also seen running from the front row to meet the ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ director and greeting him with a hug. Aishwarya had made her debut with Mani Ratnam’s ‘Iruvar’ in 1997. They have also worked together in ‘Raavan’ and ‘Guru’.
At the event, Aishwarya referred to Mani Ratnam as her 'guru (mentor)' and said that she has learnt ‘passion, commitment, dedication, and focus’ from him. She also thanked Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan for being a part of the event.
‘Rajini and Kamal sir - dream moment of having you both here. We have been students, admirers of you and continue to do this forever,’ she said.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who plays Queen Nandini, attended the event along with entire star cast of the film. Superstars Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan were also on the guest list.

Aishwarya, who was elated to reunite with her &lsquo;2.0&rsquo; co-star Rajinikanth, was seen touching his feet and hugging him. He was the chief guest of the event.
Aishwarya was also seen running from the front row to meet the &lsquo;Ponniyin Selvan&rsquo; director and greeting him with a hug. Aishwarya had made her debut with Mani Ratnam&rsquo;s &lsquo;Iruvar&rsquo; in 1997. They have also worked together in &lsquo;Raavan&rsquo; and &lsquo;Guru&rsquo;.
At the event, Aishwarya referred to Mani Ratnam as her 'guru (mentor)' and said that she has learnt &lsquo;passion, commitment, dedication, and focus&rsquo; from him. She also thanked Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan for being a part of the event.
&lsquo;Rajini and Kamal sir - dream moment of having you both here. We have been students, admirers of you and continue to do this forever,&rsquo; she said.
