While Akshdeep clocked a national record time of 1:19:55, CWG silver medallist Priyanka Goswami clinched the Gold at National Open Race Walking Championships with a time of 1:28:50. 
Both athletes attained the automatic qualification standard.

India's Akshdeep Singh &amp; Priyanka Goswami qualified for the World Championships and the 2024 Paris Olympics after winning Gold in the 20km event on the opening day of the National Open Race Walking Championships.
Akshdeep Singh clinched the men's 20km event gold with a stunning national record time. The 22-year-old from Punjab clocked 1 hour 19 minutes and 55 seconds to break the earlier national record of 1:20:16. The qualification cutoff for Worlds &amp; Olympics qualification was 1:20:10.
In the women's event where the cutoff was 1:29:20, national record holder Priyanka Goswami, who won the silver at 2022 Commonwealth Games, won Gold with a time of 1:28:50.

The country is all set to host its maiden MotoGP race at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida next year. 
With MotoGP commercial rights owner Dorna and Noida-based promoters Fairstreet Sports signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the country is expected to host the world's premier two-wheeler racing event for a period of seven years at least, starting from 2023.

India, the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world, will witness top manufacturers like Yamaha, Honda, Ducati, KTM, and Aprilia, all gunning for glory in the Grand Prix of Bharat.
Previously, the Buddh International Circuit hosted the Indian Grand Prix in Formula 1 for 3 consecutive years, from 2011 to 2013.
And even though F1 exited the nation, citing financial & bureaucratic hurdles, the MotoGP could pave the way for more international motorsport events in India in days to come.

The historic Yorkshire market town of Knaresborough welcomed teams from across England for their annual Bed Race on Saturday - back from a two-year hiatus because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Part fancy dress pageant and part gruelling time trial, the bed race was first staged in 1966 in order to raise money for local charities.
It takes place over a 2.4 mile (3.9km) course through the streets with a crossing of the river Nidd just before the finish.
The river crossing has had to be abandoned twice in 1972 and 1998 when torrential rain saw the Nidd flood.
GH Brooks were the fastest team in the 2022 edition, making their way around the course in a rapid 12 minutes and 59 seconds.
The Welly Wheelers were the fastest women's team at 15:14.
Awards were also handed out for the best dressed team, the best decorated bed and there were individual honours for the fastest male and female junior teams.

"Racism is real in America. And it has always been. Xenophobia is real in America, and always has been. Sexism, too.&nbsp;The president and I will not be silent", said Harris.
