Bollywood Filmmaker-Actor Prakash Jha is busy promoting his forthcoming film ‘Matto Ki Saikil’ which is all set to release in theatres on Sept 16. In an exclusive interview the Cinestaan. He talked about the boycott calls and movies witnessing tragic fate at the box office. 
Talking about ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ at the promotion of the film, he said, ‘It is being said that Aamir Khan’s film was boycotted on social media. If he had made Dangal (2016) or Lagaan (2001) and then the film hadn’t done well, then we would have understood that it happened because of the boycott. But you have made such a film that majority of those who have seen it aren’t praising it.’ 
When asked about the sorry state of films in theatres, He said, ‘They should understand that they are making bakwas . A film can’t be made only through money, corporates and paying a high amount to the actors. For that one needs to write a good story that makes you understand, shakes you up and entertains’ 
‘They should make stories that are rooted. People from the Hindi industry are speaking in Hindi but what are they making? They are just churning out remakes. If you don’t have a story to tell, stop making films. They should work hard and think original as people have become lethargic.’ He concluded. 
Apart from filmmaker Prakash Jha, Actor Pallavi Joshi also opens up about the same issue, In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, she said, ‘People should also realise introspection is important. I feel if such a huge movement is taking place in the country, there is a need for introspection for everyone. The audience is our everything and we are nothing without them. So, let’s try and remember this and give them what they want. Give them the stories they are dying to see and see how they flock the theatres again.’

The Producers Guild of India has slammed the act of vandalism by the Bajrang&nbsp;Dal&nbsp;activists on the sets of Ashram 3 in Bhopal. According to Bajran&nbsp;Dal, the web series is an&nbsp;"assault on Hinduism".
The incident took place when the shooting was going on&nbsp;at the Old Jail in Arera Hills area of Bhopal when the activists suddenly break into the premises and attacked filmmaker Prakash&nbsp;Jha&nbsp;and other crew members on the sets.
The Producers Guild of India condemned the vicious attack in an official statement and said, &ldquo;The Producers Guild of India strongly condemns the brazen acts of violence, harassment and vandalism faced by the crew involved in the production of the series Aashram in Bhopal. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident and the Guild is alarmed to note the frequency with which the production and exhibition sectors are severely and illegally disrupted by various elements with impunity".

Mishra while condemning the vandalism unleashed by Bajrang Dal activists at the sets of web series &lsquo;Ashram&rsquo;, also asked producer-director Prakash Jha should also think of the wrong he is doing. 
Backing the demand of the vandals calling for a change in the name and content of the series, the minister said he supports it, advising the filmmaker to not do things that may invite trouble.
The home minister further said a permanent guideline will be issued and if there was an objectionable scene, the story would only be shot once permission was granted by the administration.
On Sunday, Bajrang Dal activists ransacked the set of the third season of the web-series and threw ink on Jha. The windscreens of two buses of the crew were also broken in stone-pelting, said police.
