Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday appreciated his former ministerial colleagues who were dropped after the Cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday. He said they all contributed in the development work executed by his government and advised the newly sworn-in ministers to learn from their experience, PTI has reported quoting sources.
Interacting with members of the revamped Council of Ministers a day after the reshuffle, Modi said some leaders are now not part of the government due to certain situations and circumstances, in an apparent reference to Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javadekar who resigned before the Cabinet rejig.
Reports said that the Prime Minister appreciated Prasad and Javadekar for their work.
Other ministers who quit the government on Wednesday included Harsh Vardhan from health and Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' from education.
In a word of advice, the PM said it is the work that only matters and the ministers should not get trapped in the vicious circle of grabbing media attention.

The development of the NATRAX facility will ensured that domestic vehicles are not needed to be sent abroad for testing.&nbsp;The just-launched high-speed track is designed for neutral speeds of 250 kmph and maximum speeds of up to 375 kmph on curbs with no limit to maximum speed on the straight patch.&nbsp;Needless to say, the high-speed test track can also be used for testing high-end cars.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The new track is now open to having vehicles from overseas for getting evaluated in India.&nbsp;A wide variety of tests can be done on the track like maximum speed, brake performance, constant fuel consumption, emission test, high-speed handling, and also, durability testing.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

For electric buses, nine key cities with population of more than 4 million will be targeted &ndash; Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Surat, and Pune
EESL will again act as an aggregator of demand for the remaining e-buses on an opex basis. The details of implementation shall be worked out by EESL.

The Centre has hit back at Rahul Gandhi hours after the Congress leader held PM responsible for the second wave of Covid-19 and warned multiple waves will hit India if a proper vaccination strategy is not adopted.
Responding to the criticism, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Friday that India will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the end of 2021. The centre lashed out at Rahul Gandhi for pointing out that less than three per cent of the country's population received both shots so far.
Javadekar asked Rahul to look at the Congress ruled states instead where there is a &lsquo;mess in vaccination&rsquo;. Javdekar also accused non-BJP states, of &lsquo;not taking the quota for 18-44 age group given to them from May 1&rsquo;.

The Centre on Tuesday lowered the age bar for Covid-19 vaccination from 60 years to 45 years. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar appealed to every citizen who are 45 or older to register for vaccination from April 1st.
Currently, only citizens between 45 and 60 with other illnesses were allowed to get vaccination.
Amid a surge in Covid-19 cases, Javadekar said this decision has been taken by cabinet on the basis of the advice of the coronavirus Task Force and experts.
