The BJP mocked Rahul Gandhi’s remark on the emergency and the RSS, calling it comical. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar added that RSS is the largest school of patriotism in the world and said that Rahul Gandhi would take a lot of time to understand the RSS.
He also said Rahul's remark was laughable. During an interview with renowned economist Kaushik Basu, Rahul Gandhi had said that during the emergency Congress made no attempt to capture the institutional frameworks of the country.
He went on to say that because the RSS has now filled up institutions with its men, even beating the BJP in an election would not rid institutions of men sympathetic to the organisation.
