The 33-year-old grandson of JD(S) patriarch and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda had failed in his bid to retain the Hassan parliamentary constituency in the recent polls.
SIT officials arrested Revanna soon after he landed at Bengaluru Airport from Germany on May 31.
He had left for Germany on April 27, a day after Hassan went to Lok Sabha the polls. A 'Blue Corner Notice' seeking information on his whereabouts had earlier been issued by the Interpol, following a request by the SIT via the Central Bureau of Investigation.
A Special Court for Elected Representatives issued an arrest warrant against Revanna on May 18, following an application moved by the SIT.
Revanna has been booked in three cases of sexual assault. There are also charges of rape against him.

JD(S) MLC Suraj Revanna was booked on Saturday for allegedly sodomising a party worker a few days ago, police said.
Chethan K S (27) had complained to the police that Suraj Revanna, the eldest son of Holenarasipura MLA H D Revanna, sodomised him at his farmhouse in Ghannikada in Holenarasipura Taluk on June 16 evening.
Based on the complaint, the Holenarasipura police registered a case against the JD(S) MLC under IPC sections 377 (unnatural sex) and 506 (criminal intimidation) late on Saturday evening.
However, Suraj Revanna (37), the grandson of former prime minister H D Deve Gowda and the nephew of Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy, has categorically refuted the charge. Instead, he has alleged that Chethan filed a false complaint to extort Rs 5 crore from him.
Police have not yet arrested Suraj Revanna.
On Friday, police registered a case of extortion against Chethan on a complaint by Suraj Revanna's close aide Shivakumar.
Shivakumar has alleged that Chethan was trying to extort money from Suraj Revanna by threatening to lodge a false case of sexual assault against him. It has been alleged that Chethan demanded Rs 5 crore from Suraj Revanna and later it was reduced to Rs 2 crore.
Suraj is the elder brother of former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna who is in police custody for allegedly sexually assaulting several women. Prajwal, who lost from Hassan Lok Sabha seat, was arrested on May 31 soon after returning from Germany where he was holed up after rape and intimidation cases were registered against him.
Their father H D Revanna and mother Bhavani are out on bail. They have been accused of kidnapping and keeping an alleged victim of their son Prajwal's sexual assaults.

A JD(S) worker and his kin were booked for allegedly trying to extort money from party MLC Suraj Revanna by threatening to lodge a false case of sexual assault against him, police said.
The complaint was filed by Suraj Revanna's close aide Shivakumar on Friday based on which an FIR was registered against Chethan K S and his brother-in-law.
Chethan too lodged a police complaint on Friday, accusing Suraj Revanna of sexually assaulting him.
Suraj Revanna is the son of Holenarasipura MLA H D Revanna and the elder brother of former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna who is in police custody for allegedly sexually assaulting several women.
In the complaint, Shivakumar alleged that Chethan became his friend and started working for the 'Suraj Revanna Brigade'.
Recently, Chethan asked for money to meet family expenses but when Shivakumar refused, the accused threatened to lodge a police complaint, accusing Suraj Revanna of sexually assaulting him.
Shivakumar claimed that Chethan demanded Rs 5 crore and later it was reduced to Rs 2 crore.
Based on the complaint, police have registered a case under IPC sections 384 (extortion), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (involvement of others in the conspiracy) against Chethan and his brother-in-law.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, who is facing allegations of sexually abusing several women, has informed his mother Bhavani Revanna that they want to inquire her in a kidnapping case on June 1.
In a notice to Bhavani Revanna, the daughter-in-law of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, the SIT Inspector and Investigation Officer Hemanth Kumar M said there was a need to conduct an inquiry.
"Since there was a need to conduct an inquiry with you, you are hereby informed to be present at 'Chennambika Nilaya' (her house) at Holenarasipur in Hassan district on June 1 from 10 am to 5 pm," the SIT Inspector said on Thursday.

He said he would conduct an inquiry in the presence of women police.
The case pertains to kidnapping a woman from KR Nagar in which her husband and Holenarasipura JD(S) MLA H D Revanna is an accused and is out on bail.
After the explicit videos showing women being sexually abused allegedly by their 33-year-old son Prajwal came out in open, the victim from KR Nagar in Mysuru was abducted by Revanna's confidant.
The case was registered on a complaint lodged by the 20-year-old son of the victim. The complainant also said that his mother figured in the video where she was tied and raped allegedly by Prajwal.
Bhavani and her son have already moved the Special court seeking anticipatory bail.&nbsp;

Janata Dal (Secular) MP Prajwal Revanna, who returned to Bengaluru from Germany, has been taken into custody by a Special Investigation Team (SIT). The SIT is investigating sexual assault allegations against Revanna and is likely to subject him to a series of medical tests, including a potency test. This raises a significant question: What is a potency test, and why is it relevant in such cases?
Potency Test
A potency test is a medical examination designed to determine whether a male can develop or maintain a penile erection necessary for sexual intercourse. Such tests are often used as evidence in cases involving sexual assault, divorce, and paternity disputes. In divorce and paternity cases, a potency test is typically conducted alongside a fertility test.
Relevance in Sexual Assault Cases
In sexual assault cases, the prosecution might use a potency test report to counter claims by the accused that he is incapable of sexual intercourse. However, potency is not a permanent condition and can be influenced by various factors, both physiological and psychological. Hence, the inability to sustain an erection at the time of the test does not conclusively prove incapacity.
The potency test is similar in its evidentiary limitations to the now-discredited 'two-finger' test used to assess a woman's sexual history, which is not considered definitive proof of sexual assault. Potency tests only provide corroborative evidence about the accused's capability at the time of testing.
Notably, section 53 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) permits the examination of various biological samples, such as blood, semen, and hair, using modern scientific techniques, including DNA profiling. This section allows registered medical practitioners to conduct any necessary tests on the accused for investigative purposes.
Significantly, before the 2013 amendments to the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the definition of rape was limited to peno-vaginal intercourse, making potency tests more relevant. However, the amendments expanded the definition to include penetration of &ldquo;any object&rdquo; or &ldquo;mouth&rdquo; to &ldquo;any part of the body&rdquo; of a woman, reducing the necessity of potency tests.
In the case of Prajwal Revanna, the potency test forms part of the broader investigative process into the sexual assault allegations. While the test might offer insights into his physical capability, it is not definitive evidence. The primary weight of evidence in such cases remains on the survivor's testimony, supported by other forms of corroborative evidence. This case highlights the evolving nature of legal investigations and the importance of using comprehensive methods to ensure justice.
Meanwhile, a special court in Bengaluru remanded the suspended JD(S) MP to police custody till June 6 after he was arrested.&nbsp;

Prajwal Revanna, the suspended JD(S) MP facing sexual abuse allegations, was arrested on Friday upon his return from Germany, a month after he left the country in the wake of explicit videos of his alleged actions doing the rounds in Karnataka's Haasan.
In a clear messaging by the SIT probing the allegations, a team of women police personnel 'welcomed' Prajwal Revanna upon his arrival here, as they were deputed to execute a warrant and take him to the CID office for interrogatrion.
After evading summons and staying out of the country for a little over a month, the 33 year-old grandson of JD(S) supremo and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda landed here past midnight from Germany's Munich, only to be arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) minutes later and whisked away for questioning.
The NDA Lok Sabha candidate from Haasan, facing allegations of sexually abusing several women, was arrested after completing the due process, and further legal procedures will follow, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said.
Prajwal's advocate said the former was extending full cooperation to the SIT probe and cautioned against any media trial in the case.
"Prajwal Revanna landed around 12.40-12:50 am from Germany's Munich. As there was an arrest warrant against him, SIT accordingly arrested him and took him into custody and further legal procedures they will follow today," Parameshwara said.
Speaking to reporters here, he said, "...naturally he should have cooperated to the arrest. His immigration papers were cleared and he was brought out (of airport). As he had a diplomatic passport, things happened easily. After completing all the due process, he was arrested," he added.
Asked if the government will appeal to more victims to come forward following his arrest, Parameshwara said, "We have already said, those who have faced trouble from him to come forward and give complaints to SIT and police, and we will provide them all kind of protection. We will have to wait and see further developments." The SIT, sending out a message, deputed an all-woman police team to execute the warrant against Prajwal.
Soon after he alighted from the plane from Munich, he was received by women in Khaki, sources in the SIT said.
During the procedure of executing the arrest warrant, he was flanked by the women police personnel who were led by two IPS officers, Suman D Pennekar and Seema Latkar. He was then taken in a jeep in which only women police were present. They took him to the CID office.
"It was a conscious call to send women officers to arrest Prajwal, sending home a message that the JD(S) leader exploited his seat and power as an MP with women. The same women have authority to arrest him through all legal proceedings," a source in the SIT said.
There was also a symbolic message to the alleged victims that women officers were not afraid of anyone, the source added.
The MP was later taken for medical examination under tight security. Escorted by female police officials, he was taken to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital here.
The SIT is also contemplating a potency test on Prajwal. A potency test is done to ascertain if a rape accused is capable of committing sexual assault on victims.
Meanwhile, Prajwal's advocate, Arun G, met him here.
"I went to speak to him. He has told to the media that he has come forward to cooperate with the investigation. So he has requested that there be no media trial. Let there be no negative campaign unnecessarily," Arun said.
Speaking to reporters after meeting Prajwal, he said the Hassan MP is before the SIT to give the fullest cooperation.
"Prajwal said -- I have come forward, the whole purpose of me coming to Bengaluru or before SIT is that I have to stand by my words. I have come forward. I will give the fullest cooperation -- these are his words," he added.
The advocate said he had explained to Prajwal about how the court procedures would work.
Prajwal had on May 29 filed an anticipatory bail plea at the Principal City and Sessions Court for Elected Representatives, which issued a notice to the SIT to file objections before posting the hearing for Friday.
In the first case registered against him at the Holenarasipura Town police station in Hassan on April 28, Prajwal is accused of sexually harassing a 47-year-old former maid. He is listed as accused number two, while his father and Holenarasipura MLA, H D Revanna, is accused number one.
Prajwal has been so far booked in three cases of sexual assault. There are also charges of rape against him.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has served a show-cause notice to Prajwal asking why his diplomatic passport should not be cancelled as sought by the Karnataka government in view of allegations of sexual abuse against him.
Deve Gowda had recently issued a 'stern warning' to Prajwal, asking him to return to the country and face probe into the sexual abuse allegations, while asserting there will be no interference from him or other family members into the enquiry.
The JD(S) supremo had reiterated that his grandson should be given the harshest punishment under the law "if found guilty".
Prajwal's uncle and former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy too had repeatedly appealed to his nephew to return to the country from abroad and face the probe.

According to sources in the Special Investigation Team, the 33-year-old grandson of JDS supremo H D Deve Gowda is expected to land in Bengaluru in the small hours of May 31.
The SIT is maintaining vigil at the Kempegowda airport here to arrest him as soon as he lands, they said.
The MP, who is seeking re-election as the NDA candidate from Hassan Lok Sabha segment, fled to a foreign country as soon as the news broke out that the Karnataka State Commission for Women requested Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to order an investigation into the huge cache of explicit videos showing several women being sexually assaulted allegedly by him.
So far two cases of sexual assault have been registered against Prajwal.
Two days ago, the Hassan MP released a video message in which he promised to appear before the SIT on May 31 and cooperate with the inquiry.

Trouble mounted on Thursday for Prajwal Revanna, facing allegations of sexually abusing several women, with Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah writing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the second time to cancel the diplomatic passport of the suspended JD (S) MP, and the MEA saying it was processing the request for revocation of his passport.
Meanwhile, former prime minister and Prajwal's grandfather Deve Gowda issued a "stern warning", asking his grandson to come home and face the matter legally, lest he should face his anger and that of the family members leading to his isolation.
Reacting to the Karnataka Chief Minister's second missive to the Prime Minister, Union minister Pralhad Joshi said there is a process to cancel the diplomatic passport of Prajwal, and asserted the Centre is ready to cooperate in bringing him back to the country.
In New Delhi, official sources said the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has received a letter from the Karnataka government seeking revocation of Revanna's diplomatic passport.
"The MEA has received a letter from the Karnataka government for cancellation of diplomatic passport in respect of MP Prajwal Revanna. This is being processed," a source said.
The MEA's explanation came in the wake of Siddaramaiah's second missive to PM Modi on the issue, urging him to take "prompt and necessary" actions to cancel Prajwal's diplomatic passport.
In his letter to Modi, the chief minister said it was "shameful that Prajwal, a Member of Parliament from Hassan constituency, who is also contesting for re-election in the present general elections, and who is the grandson of a former Prime Minister, fled the country, the 27th of April, 2024 to Germany using his diplomatic passport...shortly after news of his heinous actions emerged and just a few hours before the first FIR was filed against him." The Chief Minister, who had written to the PM on May 1 on the subject, further said the Karnataka government has taken prompt action to meet the ends of justice by setting up a special team to probe the matter.
On his part, Deve Gowda said: "At this juncture, I can do only one thing; I can issue a stern warning to Prajwal and ask him to return from wherever he is and surrender before the police. He should subject himself to the legal process." The 92-year-old veteran in a statement in Bengaluru also made it clear it was not an appeal but a warning.
"If he does not heed this warning, he will have to face my anger and the anger of all his family members. The law will take care of the accusations against him, but not listening to the family will ensure his total isolation. If he has any respect left for me, he has to return immediately," Gowda said.
"I wish to also make it clear that I will ensure that there will be no interference in the enquiry against him from me or my family members. There is no emotion in this regard in my mind whatsoever, there is only the cause of justice for those who have suffered as a result of his alleged actions and misdeeds," he added.
Earlier, Joshi in Karnataka's Kalaburagi city told reporters that "there is a process to get him (Prajwal) back from abroad and the Government of India is ready to extend cooperation to the state government by following necessary processes in accordance with the law." Attacking the Karnataka government, he questioned why it did not file a case and detain Prajwal before he flew abroad. Joshi also accused the Congress dispensation of trying to blame the Centre and playing politics on the issue.
He was responding to a question on Siddarmaiah's second letter to Modi on the issue.
"There is a process to cancel diplomatic passports...so far Siddaramaiah, D K Shivakumar (deputy CM) and Parameshwara (Home Minister) have not responded to my question." "The first pen drive containing clipping (explicit clippings involving Prajwal) came out on April 21 and Prajwal Revanna left abroad on April 27. Were they guarding donkeys for seven days? Why didn't you file an FIR and detain him," Joshi asked.
The 33-year-old Prajwal, who is the NDA candidate from the Hassan Lok Sabha segment, is facing charges of sexually abusing several women.
Prajwal reportedly left for Germany on April 27, a day after Hassan went to polls, and is still at large. A 'Blue Corner Notice' seeking information on his whereabouts has already been issued by Interpol, following a request by the SIT via the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The Karnataka government has shot off a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs requesting the cancellation of the diplomatic passport of Janata Dal (Secular) MP Prajwal Revanna, who is facing allegations of sexually abusing several women.
ANI news agency, quoting sources, reported that the MEA is processing the request.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday wrote yet another letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to revoke Revanna's diplomatic privileges.
He left the country shortly after news of his "heinous actions emerged and just a few hours before the first case was filed against him", the Congress leader told PM Modi.
The Hassan MP reportedly fled to Germany on April 27 using his diplomatic passport, after the whole matter came out.
Prajwal Revanna, who is the grandson of former prime minister HD Deve Gowda, and son of Karnataka MLA HD Revanna, recently contested from the Hassan constituency under the BJP-JDS alliance.&nbsp;
"I write to you once again to draw attention to the grave series of incidents that Prajwal Revanna has been accused of committing. These incidents have not only shocked the conscience of the people of the State of Karnataka but have also caused a nationwide concern," Siddaramaiah said in his letter to the PM dated May 22.
He said, "It is shameful that Prajwal Revanna, a Member of Parliament from Hassan constituency, who is also contesting for re-election in the present general elections, and who is the grandson of a former Prime Minister, fled the country, the 27th of April, 2024 to Germany using his diplomatic passport bearing number D1135500 shortly after news of his heinous actions emerged and just a few hours before the first FIR was filed against him." Accusing Prajwal of abusing his diplomatic privileges to flee the country and to escape criminal proceedings, the CM further said, the Government of Karnataka has taken prompt actions to meet the ends of justice by setting up a SIT for investigation of the matter.
The SIT is investigating the alleged crimes of Prajwal Revanna against women and is making efforts to secure the presence of the accused in order to face the criminal charges, he said.
"It is a matter of serious concern that the accused Prajwal Revanna has managed to remain in hiding to this day despite the issue of a Look Out Circular, a Blue Corner Notice and two notices by the Investigating Officer under section 41A CrPC.
"The FIR against Prajwal Revanna contains charges in the nature of rape, sexual assault, disrobing women and forcibly video-graphing sexual acts in order to threaten the victims," he noted.

India Today reported, quoting sources, that between 2020 and 2021, the woman said she was manipulated by Prajwal Revanna into answering video calls, and forced to remove her clothes under threat of harm to her and her mother.
"He (Prajwal) used to call me and ask me to remove my clothes. He would call on my mother's mobile and force me to answer the video calls. When I refused, he threatened to harm me and my mother. Our family supported us when they learned about the incidents and then we filed a complaint," she said.
"My mother was raped and sexually harassed by Prajwal Revanna. She was sexually harassed by HD Revanna too," the woman alleged.
"Prajwal used to threaten my mother that if she didn't cooperate, he would snatch her husband's job, make him unemployed, and even rape her daughter," the woman said.
She further said that her father was sacked from his job after they filed a complaint in the matter.
She said that the repeated harassment took a heavy toll on her family, forcing them to change their phone numbers.
The woman also claimed that Revanna and his father would sexually harass the female servants at his residence.
"Yes, it's true. Revanna would sexually harass the female servants under the pretext of giving them fruits. Prajwal also raped my mother. As of now, only three people have come out and spoken about these incidents in public. Three more servants haven't spoken about these atrocities. They were also sexually abused by them," the woman claimed.
The woman further alleged that two years after the incident, they were forced to sell their land.&nbsp;
"She (my mother) used to come home only once in four to five months. She was harassed so much that she would only call us late at night, at around 1 or 2 am. She hardly used to talk to us. They treated my mother like a slave and assaulted my father," the woman alleged.
She also called Prajwal Revanna and his father HD Revanna "habitual offenders" and sought justice for her mother and herself.

Earlier, the Special Investigation Team, which is investigating the Revanna sex scandal case, had asked Gowda to appear before it.

A case of sexual harassment has been registered against BJP leader G Devaraje Gowda from Hassan, who had written to the saffron party leadership before it formed an alliance with the JD(S), flagging Prajwal Revanna's alleged sexual abuse of several women, police said on Friday.
The FIR was registered against Devaraje Gowda, who is an advocate, on April 1 but it has come to light only recently after his whistleblowing in the Prajwal Revanna case.
Devaraje Gowda was the one who had alerted the BJP leadership last year about Prajwal Revanna's alleged sexual abuse of several women, and cautioned the saffron party not to give a Lok Sabha ticket to the JD(S) MP from Hassan.
Prajwal Revanna is the grandson of former prime minister and JD(S) patriarch H D Deve Gowda, and is the BJP-JD(S) Lok Sabha poll candidate from Hassan.
The BJP entered into an alliance with the JD(S) last year.
Devaraje Gowda, who contested the 2023 assembly election against Prajwal's father and Holenarasipura MLA H D Revanna -- also accused in a case of molestation and another for abduction -- had blamed the Congress leadership in Karnataka for leaking the sexual abuse videos.
Devaraje Gowda has been booked on a complaint by a 36-year-old woman from Hassan district, who alleged that he molested her on the pretext of helping her sell her property.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday claimed that the Congress government in Karnataka did not take action against JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna, accused of sexually abusing women, for about a year despite being aware of the matter.
The Congress was afraid that it might lose Vokkaliga votes and therefore stayed silent until the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections got over, she said, speaking at a meeting with select journalists here.
"The Union home minister (Amit Shah) has made it very clear that we will not tolerate the matters that go against women and on that we stand united. Though the (BJP's) alliance partner has this issue, we have made it clear that it was not acceptable, and let it be investigated," Sitharaman said, when asked if the scandal will have an impact on her party's performance in Karnataka in the ongoing elections.
It was being claimed that a driver gave a pen drive (allegedly containing evidence of Revanna's acts) to the Congress party and state home minister but they were sitting on this evidence for about a year, and "now the BJP is made to answer because the JD(S) is in alliance with us," she said.
The ministers of the Congress government knew what was in the pen drive but they did not think that safety of women should be their priority, Sitharaman alleged.
"They thought the Vokkaliga votes might go from their hands and decided to remain silent till the time the first phase of Lok Sabha got over. Now they are making it a big issue and pushing it which is typical of Congress and it shows their hypocrisy," the BJP leader further said, asking why probe was delayed for one year.
The Karnataka government was now writing to the prime minister about the case, asking him to issue look-out notices against Prajwal Revanna and bring him back from abroad, but the Union home minister had clearly said that the Karnataka government can take all the action it wants to take, she said.
Asked about BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh's son Karan Singh getting ticket from the party for Kaiserganj constituency in Uttar Pradesh, Sitharaman said the allegations against the MP had not been proved yet.
Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is accused of sexually harassing women wrestlers.
"Nothing is proven against Brij Bhushan....even if he is convicted, I would say you want to carry the blame to the son. Even convicted people's children have been entertained by so many parties," the Union minister said.
The BJP was still confident after two phases of the Lok Sabha elections of winning 370 seats on its own and 400 seats along with its NDA allies, she said.
Asked if the BJP was in defence mode and responding to the opposition's narrative instead of setting its own, Sitharaman said this was not the case.
"Our response to the Congress' manifesto is not defensive, nor is it negative, rather it is more offensive and substantive," she said, adding that the manifesto was more of a Muslim League document.
Later, in an interaction with students at an event at Deccan College in the city, Sitharaman talked about the Rohith Vemula case where the Telangana police have filed a closure report before a local court stating that the University of Hyderabad student was not a Dalit, and he died by suicide in 2016 as he feared that his "real caste" would be discovered.
The issue was dragged to the streets without allowing the university to handle it with sensitivity, the Union minister said.
"It was an unfortunate incident. It was dragged to the streets and a narrative was built that the government was suppressing (facts) and was against students and SCs. Today, the same people who dragged the unfortunate family of Vemula on the street, should stand up before the entire country and apologise for having politicised it," she said.&nbsp;

Former Karnataka minister H D Revanna and his son Prajwal Revanna face fresh troubles as a case has been lodged based on a youth's complaint alleging that his mother was abducted after a video of her being allegedly tied and raped by Prajwal emerged.
The case was registered on Thursday night, police here said.
Revanna, who is a JD(S) MLA from Holenarasipura constituency in Hassan district, is the son of former Prime Minister and JD(S) patriarch H D Deve Gowda and elder brother of former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
Prajwal, the sitting JD(S) MP from Hassan, is facing allegations of sexually abusing women. The state government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the case after scores of explicit video clips allegedly involving the 33-year-old MP started making the rounds in recent days.
He was the NDA candidate from the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency where polling was held on April 26. JD(S) joined the NDA in September last year.
A case of molestation was already registered against the father-son duo at Holenarasipura police station. According to the state Home Minister G Parameshwara, one more complaint was registered on Wednesday night.
However, in this latest case lodged on Thursday night, the 20-year-old complainant from Krishnaraja Nagar town in Mysuru district said his mother was kidnapped by Revanna.
He said six years ago his mother worked at Revanna&rsquo;s residence in Holenarasipura. Three years ago, she quit the job and returned to her hometown.
About five days ago, Revanna&rsquo;s confidant Sathish Babanna came to his house and said police may come to them for an inquiry and they should not reveal anything.
&ldquo;On April 29 at about 9 pm, Sathish Babanna came to our house and said if your mother is caught then you will be in trouble and you may all go to jail. Revanna has asked me to take you. He then took her on a motorcycle,&rdquo; the complainant said.
He said he has no clue where his mother has been taken away. However, on May 1, he said he received a call from his friends who told him that a video has surfaced showing his mother was tied with a rope and Prajwal allegedly raped her.
The complainant said there is threat to his mother&rsquo;s life and sought police help to find out where his mother was.
The K R Nagar police under Mysuru Rural sub-division registered a case against H D Revanna and Sathish Babanna of kidnapping, wrongful confinement and connivance.
In response to the case and allegations, Revanna on Wednesday had said: &ldquo;I have the strength to face these conspiracies. I will face it (investigation). There is no need to bother. I did not do anything wrong. I am prepared for any investigation and will fight it in a legal manner.&rdquo;

A former zilla panchayat member accused JDS leader Prajwal Revanna of raping her for over three years. The 40-year-old woman said that Prajwal also recorded videos of her and threatened to leak them if she did not listen to him.&nbsp;
The woman gave her statement to the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which was formed in the Prajwal Revanna case. Soon after that, an FIR was registered by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Karnataka. The case was registered on May 1.&nbsp;
The FIR stated that the woman used to visit MPs and MLAs to seek funds for development work in her area. The woman mentioned that she was harassed by JD(S) MP between January 1, 2021 and April 25, 2024.
The woman alleged in her statement, "In 2021, in such an instance, I visited Prajwal Revanna to get the work done at MP quarters. He asked me to go to the first floor where many women were waiting for him. After speaking to the people on the ground floor, he came to the first floor and spoke to other women. Finally, I remained and he asked me to come inside the room."
The woman said that Prajwal Revana dragged her into the room and threatened her of consequences if she did not listen to him.&nbsp;
"Inside the room, he dragged my hand and closed the door. I asked him why he was closing the door and he asked me to sit on the bed and told me that my husband was talking way too much and threatened me of dire consequences. He said that his mother missed the MLA ticket due to my husband&rsquo;s interference. He said that if I wanted to grow politically, I would have to listen to his words," the woman further mentioned.&nbsp;
The 40-year-old stated that Prajwal recorded her while she was removing her clothes and threatened her to share those videos online. The woman said, "Then he asked me to remove my clothes and I denied it and said I would scream for help. He then threatened me saying that he was carrying a gun and would not leave me and my husband."
The woman said that she did not complain out of fear. She decided to raise her voice now as the SIT was formed in this case.&nbsp;
Prajwal Revanna is the NDA candidate in the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency that went to the polls on April 26. Nearly 3,000 explicit video clips allegedly involving Prajwal sexually abusing several women had started making the rounds in Hassan in recent days.

Citing sources, The Hindu said that &nbsp;Revanna&rsquo;s return ticket from Germany has been booked for May 15.&nbsp;
In a social media post, Revanna said, &ldquo;As I am not in Bangalore to attend the enquiry, I have communicated to CID Bangalore through my advocate. Truth will prevail soon.&rdquo;

In a letter to Modi, he also asked the PM to take other steps such as using diplomatic and police channels of the Government of India as well as international police agencies to ensure the swift return of the "absconding" member of parliament to face the full force of the law.
