A nine-year-old boy was severely injured after a stray Pitbull dog attacked him in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut.
The child sustained injuries to his face, stomach and thigh with flesh scraped off from several parts of his body.

In August 2022, a domestic help in Haryana's Gurugram was attacked by a pet Pitbull dog. She had received critical injuries on her head and face.
A month later in September, an elderly woman was attacked by a pet American Pitbull Terrier in Lucknow. The 82-year-old woman later succumbed to her injuries.
Again in September 2022, an 11-year-old boy was attacked by a pet Pitbull in Ghaziabad. The boy received 150 stitches on his face.
In a more recent attack, a 55-year-old woman was attacked by a pet Pitbull in Haryana's Faridabad. The woman received severe injuries on her right leg in early May and was treated at Safdarjung Hospital.

A boy was attacked by a pet dog inside a public park in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad leading to grave injuries to his face and ear. 
The CCTV footage of the incident shows girl, at the park, was walking a pitbull dog when suddenly she left the pet animal and it rushed to attack the 11-year-old boy’s face and ear.
People in the park in rescued the child from the dog's clutches but not before the canine had bitten his face and ear.
An India Today report said that the boy has received 150 stitches and is recuperating at his home in Sanjay Nagar. 
The owner of the pitbul, Subhash Tyagi, kept the dog without license or registration. Reports said the local civic body has imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on the owner of the dog.

The pitubull named Brownie was brought home three years ago. 
According to the neighbours they heard dogs barking and Sushila crying out for help when she was attacked. The neighbours rushed to house of Tripathi's but it was locked from the inside. When Amit reached the house, he opened the door and found the Sushila severely injured. She was rushed to a hospital but couldn't survive. As per the post-mortem report, a total of 12 severe wounds from neck to abdomen were found on Sushila's body.
