After canceling full stops, thumbs up, and a couple of emojis, now Zoomers colloquially known as Generation Z (Gen Z) want to cancel scrolling phones with the index finger.&nbsp;
A recent poll conducted by the makers of the Candy Crush game, revealed that 80 per cent of Gen Z and 65 per cent of millennials prefer scrolling their smartphones with their thumbs.&nbsp;
The survey found that while 73 per cent of baby boomers, (born between 1946-1964) still uses their index finger to scroll through their devices, whereas 40 per cent of Zoomers felt self-conscious using their index finger to scroll or play games on their devices in public spaces.&nbsp;
To distance themselves from baby boomers, GenZ and Millenials are opting for the thumb-scrolling trend.&nbsp;

A 9to5Google report suggests that Google is developing a feature that will turn smartphones into dashcams

A 9to5Google report suggests that Google is developing a feature that will turn smartphones into dashcams, allowing them to record footage while driving. The feature is said to be available on Pixel phones and select Android devices, including the Nothing Phone (1). The feature was accidentally released through the Personal Safety app. Users can access it through a shortcut on the home page and start recording manually or review previous videos. The dashcam function will not disrupt other phone activities, such as using Google Maps, and can even operate when the phone is locked to conserve power. Users can set the feature to automatically start recording when the phone connects to a specific Bluetooth device in the car. Recorded footage will be deleted after three days unless manually saved. While specific details about the hardware implementation remain unknown, Google has not officially announced this feature. &nbsp; &nbsp;

This technology allows you to measure your pets&rsquo; steps or ring your pets or remotely give your dog food, but your dog doesn&rsquo;t really have any choices, said Dr Ilyena Hirskyj-Douglas, of the University of Glasgow, and first author of the research used to create the device.&nbsp;
Giving animals choice and control had been shown to improve their welfare and wellbeing, said Dr Ilyena Hirskyj
The DogPhone considers both owner and the dog &ndash; and gives the latter a sense of agency, she said.
While a canine social media, or FaceBark, has yet to be created, Hirskyj-Douglas said she envisages a future where dogs could call each other.
The DogPhone underwent a number of iterations to ensure it had the right level of sensitivity towards movement &ndash; these were tested over 16 days by Hirskyj-Douglas and her nine-year-old black labrador, Zack.
The team say that many of the calls made by Zack &ndash; who was left alone for about eight hours during testing days &ndash; appear to have been accidents although they caution that may simply be the human perspective.&nbsp;
Hirskyj-Douglas said the technology could bring benefits to pets, in particular dogs who struggle with being separated from their owners &ndash; although she admitted the device had actually caused her some anxiety.
