Bollywood stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Riteish Deshmukh have been named India's 'Most Beautiful Vegetarian Celebrities' of 2024 by PETA India. This recognition highlights their commitment to animal welfare and a compassionate lifestyle.
In a statement, PETA praised Fernandez for using her immense star power to advocate for the protection of all animals. She has encouraged her fans to support PETA India's initiatives in various ways. &nbsp;Fernandez has also promoted the adoption of dogs from shelters, advocated for vegan diets, starred in an ad campaign against the use of angora wool, and urged people to avoid horse-drawn carriages.
Meanwhile, Riteish promotes vegan eating and even co-founded a vegan meat company with his wife Genelia.
Past winners of the title, formerly known as the Hottest Vegetarian Celebrity Award until 2020, include notable names such as Zeenat Aman, Jackie Shroff, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rajkummar Rao, Alia Bhatt, Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Shraddha Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Manushi Chhillar, Sunil Chhetri, Anushka Sharma, Kartik Aaryan, Vidyut Jammwal, Shahid Kapoor, Rekha, and Amitabh Bachchan.

Now, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animal (PETA) India has reportedly written a letter to the actor requesting him for a similar photoshoot for their forthcoming campaign, according to news agency ANI. 
PETA's letter reportedly asked Ranveer if he would consider appearing in a nude PETA India advertisement with the tagline 'All Animals Have the Same Parts - Try Vegan?' to promote compassion for animals. They also attached a reference image featuring Pamela Anderson for his perusal.
Ranveer Singh’s photoshoot for Paper Magazine became a debatable topic recently. FIRs were also filed against the actor for allegedly ‘hurting sentiments of women’ with his nude pictures. 
In an interview with News18, Lalit Tekchandani, who represents an NGO in Chembur, talked about the FIR and explained, 'Many women and children approached us saying that what Ranveer Singh has done with the photo shoot is against our society norms. We saw many nude photographs of the actor being clicked and he promoted it on his social media in such a manner that any male or female would feel ashamed about it. We realised that such an act should be strongly opposed and this is why we decided to file a complaint and FIR.'
On the work front, Ranveer Singh will next feature in Karan Johar’s 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani', co-starring Alia Bhatt. He also has Rohit Shetty's 'Cirkus' in his kitty.
