Khera wrote, &ldquo;Dear Shri@AmitShah, here&rsquo;s the deal: You celebrate on the 1st. We will celebrate on the 4th."
Earlier on Friday, Congress spokesperson and media department chairperson Pawan Khera informed the grand old party's decision to skip exit polls.
"The results will be out on 4th June. Prior to that, we do not see any reason to indulge in speculation and slugfest for TRP," he said in a statement shared on X.
"The Indian National Congress will not participate in the debates on Exit Polls. The purpose of any debate should be to inform the people. We will happily partake in debates from 4th June onwards," Khera said in a statement.
The decision was taken after consultations within the party, the sources said.
Subsequently, taking a swipe at Rahul Gandhi, Shah said in a statement that the Congress has been in a "denial mode" since he began playing a key role in its affairs.
"The Congress ran the campaign through the polls that it is going to get a majority. But it has now realised the reality and knows that it faces a rout in the exit polls to be broadcast after the elections tomorrow," Shah said.

Congress leader Pawan Khera on Monday accused JP Nadda of conspiring against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in response to the BJP president's remarks that the saffron party doesn't need its ideologue parent RSS to win elections anymore.&nbsp; &nbsp;
Khera, while addressing a press briefing in the national capital Delhi on Monday, said that his statements reflect that the RSS was taking revenge on the BJP as is being reflected in low voter turnouts.&nbsp;
"The day before yesterday, Nadda said that BJP doesn't need RSS (to win election). Either he said this with overconfidence. Though Nadda is a soft-spoken man, I don't think he was overconfident, compared to those two brothers from Gujarat (Modi and Shah). If he didn't make this statement in jest, then there is a conspiracy. Nadda seems to be conspiring against these two Gujarati brothers by saying that they are bigger than RSS."

The Supreme Court on Monday extended till March 3 the interim bail granted to Congress leader Pawan Khera in a case related to his alleged objectionable remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Khera was arrested at the Delhi airport after being deplaned from a flight to Raipur in connection with his alleged remarks against Modi, made at a press conference on February 17 in Mumbai.

The Supreme Court on Monday extended till March 3 the interim bail granted to Congress leader Pawan Khera in a case related to his alleged objectionable remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Assam Police had last week arrested Khera in the case.
A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud took note of the submissions of Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for Assam, that the state police wanted to file its reply.
Additional Advocate General Garima Prasad, appearing for Uttar Pradesh, also said that she will also be filing the response in the matter.
The bench took note of the submissions and fixed Khera&rsquo;s plea for hearing on March 3 making it clear that the interim bail, granted to him on February 23, will remain in force till then.

Congress Pawan Khera was released on interim bail on Thursday evening after being arrested earlier in the day from Delhi airport for allegedly insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

He was granted interim bail by Delhi's Metropolitan Magistrate Archana Beniwal on a bail bond of Rs 30,000 after an order by the Supreme Court

Congress Pawan Khera was released on interim bail on Thursday evening after being arrested earlier in the day from Delhi airport for allegedly insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.&nbsp;
He was granted interim bail by Delhi's Metropolitan Magistrate Archana Beniwal on a bail bond of Rs 30,000 after an order by the Supreme Court.&nbsp;
The magistrate passed the order around 6.10 pm after receiving a copy of the apex court's order for Khera's release.
A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud had earlier in the day ordered grant of interim bail to Khera till February 28 in the case lodged in Assam.
The apex court had said Khera will be produced before the competent magistrate in Delhi and released on interim bail.
Khera was produced in a jam-packed courtroom at around 4 pm.
A large team of police personnel escorted Khera inside the court, while another police contingent cordoned off the courtroom outside which several Congress supporters had gathered.
During the proceedings, Randeep Surjewala, the counsel for Khera, informed the magistrate that the apex court has passed an order granting Khera an interim bail.
He told the court that copies of the FIR and arrest memo were not provided to Khera and the Arnesh Kumar guidelines of the Supreme Court were not followed.
Arnesh Kumar guidelines were part of the Supreme Court judgement which said arrests must be an exception and police must first decide if an arrest was necessary under Section 41 of the CrPC.
Surjewala said all offences alleged against the Congress leader carried punishment of less than seven years.
He said Khera was not informed about the reason for his arrest at the time of being deplaned at around 1.10 pm.
The copy of FIR was provided by the investigating officer (IO) to the court only around 4.10 pm, he said.
A case against was registered against Khera at Haflong police station in Assam under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 153 B (imputations, assertions prejudicial to national interest), 500 (punishment for defamation) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) for his alleged remarks against the prime minister.

The BJP on Thursday hit back at the Congress for protesting police action against its spokesperson Pawan Khera, saying the opposition party's leaders should not live in this "misconception" that they are above the law and criticised them for their agitation on the Delhi airport tarmac.
"Whatever is done is done lawfully. Congress leaders should not live under this misconception that they are above the law," BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia told reporters.
He said the Congress is playing the "victim card" after using derogatory words against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his family members.
The BJP leader said Congress leaders "flouted law" by starting protests on Delhi airport tarmac and endangered the lives of fellow passengers. People were inconvenienced by the Congress' protests, he said.
"Modi enjoys the blessings of more than 140 crore people of the country and abusing him is like digging a hole in which the Congress will fall," Bhatia said. People will teach the Congress a lesson, he said.
Congress leader Khera was Thursday arrested by the Assam Police at the airport here after being deplaned from a Delhi-Raipur flight in connection with his alleged derogatory remarks against the prime minister.
Khera had recently called him "Narendra Gautamdas Modi", in an apparent wipe at the prime minister over the row involving business tycoon Gautam Adani. His full name is Narendra Damodardas Modi, with the middle name standing for his father's name, a practice common in different parts of the country.
The BJP has targeted Khera for using the businessman's name as Modi's middle name and accused him of insulting the prime minister.&nbsp;

The Supreme Court on Thursday ordered that Congress leader Pawan Khera, arrested by the Assam Police for his alleged remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, be released on interim bail till February 28.
A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud said that upon being produced before the competent magistrate in Delhi, Khera would be released on interim bail.
"The above order will remain operational till Tuesday (February 28)," the bench, also comprising Justices M R Shah and P S Narasimha, said and listed the matter for February 27.
The apex court issued notices to the states of Assam and Uttar Pradesh seeking their responses on Khera&rsquo;s plea seeking clubbing of multiple FIRs lodged against him at Assam, Lucknow and Varanasi for his alleged remarks against the prime minister.
Senior advocate A M Singhvi, appearing for Khera, said the Congress leader had apologised for his remarks on the prime minister on the very same day and the offences alleged against him in these FIRs do not require arrest.
He said the choice of words used and the sections invoked against him do not match the offences alleged.
"It will have straightaway impact on the latitude of free speech," Singhvi said.
Additional Solicitor General Aishwarya Bhati, appearing for the Assam Police, played the audio-video clip of the alleged remarks in the open court and said Khera cannot use such "derogatory words" against a democratically elected prime minister of the country.
Bhati told the court that Khera has been arrested and will be produced before a competent magistrate during the day for transit remand.
The top court took up the matter at 3 pm, within an hour of Singhvi mentioning it for urgent listing.
Earlier in the day, Khera was arrested at the Delhi airport after being deplaned from a flight to Raipur in connection with his alleged remarks against Modi, made at a press conference on February 17 at Mumbai. The Delhi Police said he was detained at the request of the Assam Police.
Khera, against whom a case has been registered in Assam, was asked by the Delhi Police to deplane. Congress leaders accompanying him sat on the tarmac in protest and resisted efforts to take him away without an arrest warrant.
Senior Delhi Police officials later handed them a document from the Assam Police seeking their help in arresting Khera.
Congress leader Randeep Surjewala accompanied Khera to a police station at the airport where there was a huge deployment of CISF.
A case has been registered at Haflong police station in Assam against Khera under various sections of the IPC for his alleged remarks against the prime minister.
"We are all on the @IndiGo6E flight 6E 204 to Raipur and all of a sudden my colleague @Pawankhera has been asked to deplane," Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate, who was also on the flight, said on Twitter.
"What sort of high handedness is this? Is there any rule of law? On what grounds is this being done and under whose order?" she said.

The entire ordeal is completely illegal, Surjewala alleged, adding that Delhi and Assam Police have forcefully halted their flight from leaving.

A case has been registered against Congress leader Pawan Khera at Haflong police station in Assam's Dima Hasao district, ANI reported.&nbsp; 'A team of Assam police left for Delhi to take remand of Pawan Khera in connection with the case', Prasanta Kumar Bhuyan, IGP L&amp;O &amp; Spox of Assam police to ANI 'We have requested Delhi police to arrest him (Pawan Khera). An IndiGo airlines official stated that there were instructions not to allow Khera on the plane as there is a case pending against him, the NDTV reported.&nbsp;

A fresh war of words has broken out between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party over Congress leader Pawan Khera's remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's name.
While addressing a press conference on 17 February 2023, Khera sought a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the allegations against Gautam Adani and his conglomerate. Khera said that "if former Prime Ministers PV Narasimha Rao and Atal Bihari Vajpayee could set up JPCs, then what is the problem of Narendra Gautamdas... sorry Narendra Damodardas Modi".
In response, Assam Chief Minister on 20 February 2023 said that the "pathetic remarks" about PM Modi's father had the "blessings of the top levels of Congress, which is full of entitlement and disdain against a person of humble origins being PM".
Khera had clarified that he "genuinely got confused" about the Prime Minister's name.

The Congress has drawn up a tentative list that features 117 leaders categorised as "Bharat Yatris" to take part in the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' that envisions a united country.

Congress leaders Kanhaiya Kumar, Pawan Khera and former Punjab minister Vijay Inder Singla feature in a tentative list of "Bharat Yatris", who will walk throughout the 3,500-km stretch of the party's Kanyakumari-to-Kashmir "Bharat Jodo Yatra" starting September 7.
The yatra, which envisions a united country, is said to be joined by like-minded political parties, civil society groups and organisations.
Former Youth Congress president Keshav Chandra Yadav and Vaibhav Walia, secretary of the communication department of the Uttarakhand Congress, besides a host of other young leaders will walk all along the yatra.
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi will flag off the yatra with a rally from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on the evening of September 7.
Gandhi will also walk for the most part of the yatra while taking breaks for canvassing for the upcoming Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat Assembly elections.

Chairman of the yatra organising committee Digvijaya Singh had earlier explained the concept of Bharat Yatris, saying they will walk the entire stretch of 3,500 km passing through 12 states.

A number of women workers and leaders of the party will also be Bharat Yatris, sources said.
