Maha Ashtami is celebrated on the eighth day of Navratri, while Ram Navami is celebrated on the ninth day of the Chaitra month. This year, Ram Navami will be celebrated on April 10.
Ghatasthapana
The Ghatasthapana during Navratri holds huge significance. The &lsquo;ghata&rsquo; or &lsquo;kalash&rsquo; is worshipped for nine days. &lsquo;Akhand Jyoti&rsquo; is also ignited during this period. The &lsquo;kalash&rsquo; is considered to be an avatar of Lord Vishnu and that is why, it is worshipped before Goddess Durga. &nbsp;

Chetan Raut, a mosaic artist in Mumbai, has created a stunning, 6 feet portrait of Goddess Durga with 31,000 push pins during the auspicious Navratri festival.
Raut took almost 36 hours and the help of 6 others to create the masterpiece using pins of a variety of colours.
Chetan&nbsp;is known for created larger-than-life works on several well known personalities and has bagged numerous world records.
