Chaitra Navratri 2022: Know the puja timings, date and more

Navratri is a festival that is celebrated with huge fervour all over the country. During the nine days of Navratri, Goddess Durga’s nine avatars are worshipped. This year, Chaitra Navratri will begin from April 2 and go on till April 11.

Ram Navami 2022 Date:

Maha Ashtami is celebrated on the eighth day of Navratri, while Ram Navami is celebrated on the ninth day of the Chaitra month. This year, Ram Navami will be celebrated on April 10.

Ghatasthapana

The Ghatasthapana during Navratri holds huge significance. The ‘ghata’ or ‘kalash’ is worshipped for nine days. ‘Akhand Jyoti’ is also ignited during this period. The ‘kalash’ is considered to be an avatar of Lord Vishnu and that is why, it is worshipped before Goddess Durga.
