More scary videos emerged of the gun attack on Japan's former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
A video shot by a spectator standing close to the former premier showed Abe delivering an election speech when he suddenly collapses. Gunshots ring out causing panic among the spectators.
The camera then swivels towards security officials who are seen tackling the alleged shooter. Multiple security personnel are seen pinning the assailant on the ground.
He has reportedly been identified as Tetsuya Yamagami, a 41-year-old resident of Nara city. The alleged shooter was dressed in a plain t-shirt and trousers. Alarmed voices can be heard in the background. 
Lying a few feet away is what could possibly be the gun used to attack the former premier. Initial reports had suggested that Abe was shot in the back with a shotgun.
The object seen in the video is wrapped in what looks like black plastic with 2 barrel-like metallic shapes visible. It is suspected that the shooter made the gun himself, as per Japan's public broadcaster NHK.
