More gory details have emerged in the murder case of Nikki Yadav, who was killed allegedly by her live-in partner Sahil Gehlot.
Sahil told police that he and Nikki had roamed around for many hours a night before the murder, as per sources quoted by news agency ANI. Sahil reportedly admitted that he killed Nikki in a parking lot near Nigambodh Ghat between 8:30 and 9 am on 10 February.
Then, the alleged killer deleted tried to erase digital evidence, by deleting WhatsApp chats and other data from Nikki's phone, according to police. Delhi Police Crime Branch is checking CCTV footage from the Uttam Nagar, Nizamuddin, Kashmere Gate area, as per ANI.
Narrating the sequence of event, the accused told police that he had left Yadav's residence around 15 days before the incident but after his engagement on February 9, he visited her house in Uttam Nagar and he spent the night there with her, he said.
Nikki Yadav was allegedly strangled to death by Gehlot who stuffed her body inside a refrigerator of his dhaba (eatery) in southwest Delhi. The crime came to light only on February 14 when the body of 23-year-old Nikki Yadav was recovered from the refrigerator following Gehlot's questioning, police claimed.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate granted the crime branch of Delhi police his custody for five days to interrogate him and ascertain the exact scene of the murder and the route he took after committing the alleged crime.

A Delhi court on Wednesday sent a man accused of killing his live-in partner and stuffing her body into a fridge in southwest Delhi to five-day police custody for interrogation.
Sahil Gehlot, 24, a resident of Mitraon village in southwest Delhi, killed his partner, stuffed her body inside a refrigerator at his dhaba, and went off to marry another woman on the same day, police told the court.
The incident came to light on 14 February and police recovered the body of the 23-year-old woman on the basis of clues provided by the accused.
Police said the accused had hidden from his girlfriend Nikki Yadav that he was getting married to another woman. &nbsp;When Nikki came to know about his wedding, she had a heated argument with the accused which led to her murder on the intervening night of February 9 and 10, police said.
The couple was in relationship for the past few years and Nikki wanted to marry the accused, police said. &nbsp;On the intervening night of February 9 and 10, when the victim confronted the accused about his marriage, he killed her using the data cable of his mobile phone in his car and then kept her body in a refrigerator at his dhaba, police said. &nbsp;

The Delhi government is all set to launch a mega anti-pollution campaign on the 5th of October, Delhi environment minister&nbsp;Gopal Rai&nbsp;shared.
The campaign will be launched by Chief Minister Arvind&nbsp;Kejriwal.
They are also setting up a&nbsp;centre in Najafgarh to produce a chemical to deal with stubble burning. The government is urging the centre and neighbouring states to use this chemical developed by&nbsp;scientists at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute.&nbsp;
13 pollution hotspots in the city will be the major focus of the campaign. Various teams of the&nbsp;Central Pollution Control Board will be deployed to help tackle the issue this year.&nbsp;
