Amidst a world full of filters and social media trends, here comes another one called 'birthing make up'. Yes, as the name suggests it is basically being glamorous even when you are about to give birth or nursing a new born.
<h3>Hashtag garnered over 80 million views</h3>
Till now it was only a trend followed by celebs like the Kardashians, Heidi Montag or influencer Hannah Elizabeth. But now #birthingmakeup is trending on TikTok with millions of women taking a cue, with over 81.3 million views on the video linked to the hashtag.
<h3>Mixed reaction from women</h3>
Although some women have backlashed the trend saying these trends create an unrealistic picture of giving birth and make the mothers who do not follow the trend, look miserable, another&nbsp;mother commented, &ldquo;For me, putting on foundation, bronzer, mascara and lipstick brought me back to feeling myself after I&rsquo;d given birth."
<h3>Motherhood has no one side and is different for everyone</h3>
In simple words, it&rsquo;s your world and your wish. Following or not following a trend will not change anything that a mother goes through while birthing or afterwards. Motherhood is different for everyone and does not have to have just one side to it.

A new study&nbsp;published in Diabetologia&nbsp;reveals that children of mothers with diabetes during pregnancy have an increased risk of eye problems.

Mothers who develop diabetes before or during pregnancy are more likely to have children who develop severe vision complications, according to findings published in Diabetologia.

The research analysed the associations between maternal diabetes and the risk of high refractive error (RE). RE is one of the most common forms of visual impairment that includes both long and short-sightedness.
The long-term study looked at data from approximately 2.4 million people born in Denmark between 1977 and 2016. Of these individuals, over 56,000 were exposed to their mother's diabetes during pregnancy, including 0.9% with type 1 diabetes, 0.3% with type 2 diabetes and 1.1% with gestational diabetes.
As per the findings, children born to mothers with diabetes were at a 39% greater risk of high refractive error compared to children without diabetic mothers. Researchers also concluded that hypermetropia (long-sightedness) occurred more frequently in childhood and myopia (short-sightedness) was more frequent in adolescence and young adulthood.

Vladimir Putin meets with mothers of soldiers fighting in Ukraine 

Speaking to a mother of a Russian serviceman who was killed in the Mykolaiv region, Putin said that her son's life was meaningful.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday met with mothers of Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine and claimed that Ukrainian servicemen who refuse to go fighting are shot in front of the ranks.
"They (Ukrainian commanders) pay no regard to losses at all. And those who behave incorrectly, as they believe, are shot in front of the ranks. Our guys saw it with their own eyes," Putin said adding that five Ukrainian soldiers who left their positions were executed recently.
Speaking to a mother of a Russian serviceman who was killed in the Mykolaiv region, Putin said that her son's life was meaningful.
"We are all mortal, we are all in God's hands, and someday we will all leave this world. It's unavoidable. The question is how we lived," the Russian President said.
"Your son lived (for real). His goal has been achieved."
The meeting in the Kremlin with more than a dozen women came as uncertainty persists over whether enlistment efforts may resume in the face of recent battlefield setbacks.

<li>Ultrasound whole abdomen including pelvis to detect any abnormality&nbsp;</li>
<li>Screening for diabetes with blood sugar monitoring&nbsp;</li>
<li>Kidney function tests for renal assessment&nbsp;</li>
<li>Liver function tests&nbsp;</li>
<li>Serum Vit D levels and Serum Vitamin B 12 levels</li>
<li>Thyroid function tests as these hormones regulate our metabolism. Low levels of thyroid hormone slow down metabolism, lead to fatigue, dry skin, weight gain etc. Overactive thyroid hormones on the other hand led to anxiety, weight loss, disturbed sleep and palpitations, thus necessitating routine thyroid function tests.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Mammography to screen for carcinoma breast. Breast cancer is the number 1 female cancer in India. One in 28 women suffers from this. Mammography helps pick up non palpable lesions which have no symptoms, yet. Early diagnosis helps breast sparing surgery with good prognosis. High risk factors for women are strong family history of breast cancer, first degree relative with BRCA 1 or BRCA 2 gene mutation, Exposure to radiation therapy to chest between 10 and 30 years of age. Women ages 40 to 44 can get annual breast cancer screening if they wish to. Women ages 45 to 54 should get mammograms annually while women over 55 years should get these done every two years or even annually. Breast ultrasound may sometimes be coupled with mammogram for a better diagnosis.&nbsp;</li>
<li>PAP smear and HPV testing to look at possible carcinoma cervix. This is the second most common gynaecological malignancy among Indian women ages 25 to 44. This is the only cancer that can be prevented by picking up abnormal precancerous cells and HPV virus before turning malignant. Cervical cancer screening begins at age 25. Those between ages 25 to 65 should undergo a primary HPV test every five years. If primary HPV testing is not available then combined HPV testing with a pap smear should be done very five years or Pap smear alone very three years. People over 65 years who had regular testing in past 10 years with normal results do not need cervical screening. No need for screening following uterus removal if cervix was removed for benign reasons.&nbsp;</li>

Step 1 :&nbsp;Combine 1 cup refined flour, 1 tsp baking powder and a pinch of salt in a bowl. &nbsp;
Step 2&nbsp; :&nbsp;In another bowl, mix &frac12; cup butter and &frac34; cup sugar.&nbsp;
Step 3 :&nbsp;Add 2 eggs into the bowl and mix well. Add the flour mixture, 2 tsp vanilla extract and &frac12; cup buttermilk. Mix well.&nbsp;
