American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus has been sued for copyright infringement over her 2023 hit Grammy-winning song 'Flowers'. The Disney legend has been accused of copying parts of Bruno Mars's 2013 blockbuster song 'When I Was Your Man.'
Not Bruno, but Tempo Music Investments slapped Mliey with the lawsuit. In the lawsuit, the company accused the singer of "intentionally copying" Mars's song for her chart-topping single, citing significant similarities between the two tracks.
The investment giant also alleged that Cyrus's song features a melody and harmonies similar to 'When I Was Your Man', along with likeness in lyrics. Tempo Music has sought damages from Cyrus; however, the exact amount has not been specified.&nbsp;
Earlier this year, Miley received her first Grammy after &ldquo;Flowers&rdquo; won Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance over Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish. She has yet to respond to the lawsuit.&nbsp;
