AAP leaders sat on a late night dharna outside the Kamla Market police station in Delhi demanding an FIR against BJP for "an attempt of murder" on AAP's women councillors. Delhi mayor Shelly Oberoi&nbsp; has also alleged that a few members of the saffron party inflicted life-threatening attack on her on February 24.&nbsp;
BJP councillor Meenakshi Sharma meanwhile filed a police complaint against AAP councillors for "causing grievous harm and injury". She accused AAP leaders of assaulting women councillors of BJP with an intent to to outrage their modesty.&nbsp;
Scenes of uproar and high-decibel protests by BJP councillors were witnessed in the MCD House after Oberoi declared that one vote cast during the election to the standing committee of MCD on Friday, was "invalid".
The bedlam in the House turned into a full-bown pandemonium and violent clashes broke out between many councillors of the AAP and the BJP.

The House met at 8.30 am on Thursday but was adjourned for an hour amid sloganeering. The House reconvened at 9.30 am but was adjourned till 10 am on Friday shortly afterwards.

Delhi: Ali Mehdi, 2 newly elected MCD councillors switch back to Cong hours after joining AAP

Mehdi and two councillors -- Sabila Begum and Nazia Khatoon -- joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Friday.&nbsp;

Hours after joining the Aam Aadmi Party, two newly elected Congress councillors and party leader Ali Mehdi switched back to the grand old party and issued an apology.
Posting a video on social media, Mehdi said he made a mistake by crossing over to the AAP and asserted that he is a "loyal worker" of the Congress and Rahul Gandhi. &nbsp;"I made a huge mistake. I accept my fault and ask for apology from Rahul Gandhi with folded hands," Mehdi said in the video.
Mehdi and two councillors -- Sabila Begum and Nazia Khatoon -- joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Friday. Sabila won from ward number 243, Mustafabad, while Khatoon won from ward number 245, Brij Puri.

After Mehdi and two councillors joined the AAP, residents of Mustafabad staged a protest. Videos of protests that emerged on social media showed people raising slogans against Mehdi and burning his effigy.
Delhi Congress vice-president Mudit Aggarwal had alleged that AAP was trying to "lure" some other party councillors also.

The much delayed-Delhi MCD polls may happen by the end of this year, the Indian Express reported quoting BJP sources. According to its report, the BJP Delhi has asked its councillors and district and mandal units  to be prepared for the civic polls expected in December. 
The affirmation has come after the Centre earlier this month fixed the total number of seats in MCD at 250 from the existing 272 wards as part of the delimitation exercise.
Several leaders of the saffron party confirmed that preparations are on for the polls expected in the second week of December outlining that they have already begun with the outreach programmes.
Meanwhile, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party has also launched a garbae rally to expose BJP's mismangament in MCD.
The BJP ruled the corporation polls in the past three terms and it hopes to make the same mark, said Delhi BJP chief Adesh Gupta. He added that party president JP Nadda would be addressing over 70,000 people in mid-October including officer bearers at different levele.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi, which were originally scheduled for April this year were called off hours before announcement of election schedule.
