An MBBS student, Sachin, asked for advice on the internet after receiving a strange request from his landlady. The student wrote on social media that his landlady asked him to share the flat with her daughter, who is preparing for the NEET examination.&nbsp;
Sachin shared his experience on X and wrote, "My flat owner messaged me that her daughter is appearing for the NEET exam this year. She is not that good in studies and her physics is also very weak so she will take admission in our college(Private). She will live with me. What should I do? Should I ask her to decrease my rent?"
Sachin further wrote, "I live in 3 bhk. My flat owner wants her daughter to live in a separate room not in my room. She trusts me a lot. I wouldn't be lying if I say she trusts me more than her son."
Social media users quickly jumped in to help the guy out. Several internet users suggested that the landlady needs to decrease the rent by half at least.&nbsp;
While others reacted by saying that Sachin should also get his parents involved in this now. Some internet users also suggested that Sachin should politely say that his parents won't allow him to share the flat with a girl.&nbsp;

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur will offer MBBS in Hindi from October this year. The announcement was made by Union home minister Amit Shah on Tuesday who referred to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 that promotes technical courses in mother tongue. 
The course will be taught in Hindi for first semester students at the Chhattisgarh university.
While speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new campus of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) in Gandhinagar Shah drew attention towards the importance of learning in mother tongue. The minister said that teaching in the native language of the students would help them achieve a better understanding of the subject as opposed to simple rote learning methods.
Notably, the Madhya Pradesh government was the first to announce the start of the MBBS course in Hindi in Bhopal's Gandhi Medical College from the next academic session this year.

According to an Indian Express report, In 2020, 12,680 graduates from Chinese universities appeared for the examination. This was followed by 4,313 graduates from Russia, 4,258 from Ukraine, 4,156 from Kyrgyzstan, 3,142 from the Philippines, and 2,311 from Kazakhstan.
How many cleared it?
Over the last five years, the average pass percentage of the FMGE examination has been nearly 16%, and the pass number for graduates from Ukraine has been just 17%.
As per the WHO norms, a country needs 1:1000 population-doctor ratio. In India currently, the ration is 1:1456. India needs 1.38 million doctors. According to the National Health Profile 2021, there are 1.2 million registered medical practitioners in the country.
Experts say that capping the fees at private colleges and increasing the number of MBBS seats can help realise a lot more students' medical dreams in the country and also perk up the availability of qualified doctors.

Ashok&nbsp;Pal, a final-year MBBS student at&nbsp;Vasantrao Naik Government Medical College and Hospital in Maharashtra's Yavatmal was allegedly murdered on campus on Wednesday night.&nbsp;
The 24 year old was found in a badly injured state near the college's hostel following which he was admitted in the accident ward of the hospital where he died.
According to the complaint filed by medical superintendent Dr.&nbsp;Surendra Bhuyar, college authorities first thought that Pal had met with an accident, however stab injuries were found on his chest.
The incident prompted other students and resident doctors at the government hospital to go on a strike on Thursday. Meanwhile, two suspects were taken into custody by the police.&nbsp;
Former minister and Digras Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Rathod, the Yavatmal district collector, superintendent of police and senior hospital officials held discussions with the protesting students at college campus on Friday.&nbsp;
The agitating medical students have demanded financial assistance to the family of the deceased, fast-track court hearing of the case and finding the accused, installation of CCTV cameras in college premises and security personnel, it was stated.
Rathod&nbsp;has said that he will follow up the demands with Chief Minister and medical education minister and demanded that the students call off the strike.&nbsp;

Govt to identify 30 crore priority beneficiaries for Covid vaccine

The Centre has planned a special immunisation programme for Covid-19 vaccine under which it will directly procure the doses and make it available to priority groups free of cost, news agency PTI&nbsp;reported quoting sources.&nbsp;The Centre, with the help of state and union territory governments, has started the process of identifying around 30 crore priority beneficiaries who would be given vaccine dose in the initial phase, the report said.&nbsp;The government has demarcated four categories of people for vaccination in the initial phase -- around one crore healthcare professionals including doctors, MBBS students, nurses and ASHA workers, etc.; around two crore frontline workers including municipal corporation workers, personnel of the police and armed forces; about 26 crore people aged above 50; and a special group of those below 50 years of age with co-morbidities and requiring specialised care, PTI&nbsp;reported.&nbsp;
