West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is again angry with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Trinamool Congress chief was on Wednesday made to wait for over two hours during a virtual meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi but was not given a chance to speak, PTI has reported quoting a top source at the state secretariat.
Banerjee was not given the chance to speak at the 'Azadi ki Amrit Mahotsav' meeting as her name was not on the list of speakers, report said.
The Bengal CM attended the meet along with several other chief ministers, but was not allowed to speak, which led to the displeasure.
This is not the first time that Mamata Banerjee has accused the Centre of not giving her a chance to speak. A similar incident took place in May, when PM Modi held a meeting with chief ministers to review the Covid-19 situation and government machinery’s preparedness.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Banerjee said that she invited the prime minister to inaugurate the Global Business Summit which would be held in West Bengal next year.
The chief minister said that she raised the issue of violence in Tripura in which TMC workers were allegedly assaulted by BJP workers.
On the upcoming Uttar Pradesh polls, she said, "If Akhilesh (Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav) needs our help, then we are ready to extend help." Banerjee also clarified that she did not seek time with anyone other than the prime minister, saying she understood that leaders are busy with the Punjab polls.
The TMC chief said that she will meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and NCP chief Sharad Pawar during her visit to Mumbai on November 30-December 1.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting him to waive all forms of taxes and customs duty on equipment and drugs being used to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.&nbsp;
"Many of the donors have approached the state government to&nbsp;consider exemption of these from customs duty, SGST, CGST,&nbsp;IGST," she said in the letter.
Banerjee also urged Modi to strengthen health infrastructure and augment supplies of equipment, medicines and oxygen for treatment of&nbsp;coronavirus-positive patients.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting him to waive all forms of taxes and customs duty on equipment and drugs being used to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.&nbsp;
She urged the centre to exempt donations in the form of&nbsp;oxygen concentrators and cylinders, cryogenic storage tanks and COVID-19 medicines from GST and customs duty, so as to "encourage private aid". the Chief Minister stressed these donations would 'supplement the efforts of the state government in meeting the huge gap in demand and supply" of medical resources.
