Maharashtra politics continue to remain on boil after NCP chief Sharad Pawar's nephew Ajit Pawar defected and joined Eknath Shinde-led state government, claiming he has the support of several party MLAs.&nbsp;
Amid all the political chaos, a meeting of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leaders is underway at the residence of party president Sharad Pawar in Delhi.
Earlier today, 13 NCP leaders, including PC Chacko, Jitendra Awhad, Fauzia Khan and Vandana Chavan arrived at the residence of party chief Sharad Pawar in Delhi to attend the National Executive meeting.
While sources revealed that Election Commission has received a petition from Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar staking claim to Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the party symbol.
Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar has termed the ongoing meeting by the Sharad Pawar faction as illegal saying it has 'no legal sanctity', NDTV reported.&nbsp;

Maharashtra Floor Test: In what could prove to be the finale of the Maharashtra political crisis, Uddhav Thackeray is set to face floor tomorrow on June 30. Rebel Sena leader Eknath Shinde confirmed the same as he spoke to media in Guwahati and said he would be travelling to Mumbai on Thursday. Eknath&nbsp;Shinde was seen visiting Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati as the rebel group gears to return to challenge Uddhav Thackeray's majority on the floor of the house.&nbsp;

On Tuesday night, BJP leader <a href="https://www.editorji.com/india-news/politics/watch-bjp-leader-devendra-fadnavis-meets-maharashtra-governor-asks-for-floor-test-1656440294323" target="_blank">Devendra Fadnavis</a> urged Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to direct the crisis-hit Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government to prove its majority in the Assembly. Fadnavis, a former chief minister, claimed the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress ruling coalition seemed to be in a minority as 39 Sena MLAs, who belong to the rebel faction, have said they do not support the government.

Eknath Shinde alone will take oath of office at 7.30 pm, and cabinet expansion will take place later, Fadnavis said at a press conference at Raj Bhavan premises after meeting Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari along with Shinde.
"I will not betray the faith Fadnavis has placed in me," Shinde told the media.
The BJP will extend support to Shinde's group, said Fadnavis, a former chief minister and currently leader of opposition in the Assembly. BJP is the single largest party in the legislature.

'Didn't rebel for power,' says CM-designate Eknath Shinde

Thanking BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, Shinde said that he could've taken the CM post for himself, but he didn't, only someone with a big heart can do that.&nbsp;

The announcement by Devendra Fadnavis naming Shinde as chief minister had surprised many as the BJP leader was expected to take the top seat himself.&nbsp;
The move, however, fuelled criticism that Eknath Shinde had rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray for power.&nbsp;
Rejecting the critcisim, Shinde told reporters that he had not rebelled for power. He said that he and the other Sena MLAs with him rebelled only to take forward Balasaheb Thackeray's legacy and they have no greed for power.&nbsp;
