Apple is planning to make their industry leading trackpads on MacBooks even better. According to Patently Apple, the company has filed a patent with the US Patent and Trademark Office for a future MacBook prototype with an all-glass trackpad.
The patent covers a side-to-side trackpad with a force input/haptic output interface made from various materials such as glass, metal, or plastic. The design will feature a full-coverage trackpad area with no borders and will include a haptic actuator to reduce the thickness of the device. Additionally, the patent includes a protective cover made of transparent materials to rest over the device's active display area.

According to tests conducted by <a href="https://9to5mac.com/2023/01/24/macbook-pro-ssd-performance-drop/">9to5Mac</a>, the SSD on the entry-level 14-inch M2 MacBook Pro is slower than its predecessor.&nbsp;
In BlackMagic's Disk Speed Test, the 512GB SSD in Apple's current flagship achieved read speeds of approximately 2,970 MB/s and write speeds of approximately 3,150 MB/s, whereas the M1 Pro with a 512GB SSD was capable of 4,900 MB/s reads and 3,950 MB/s writes.
This indicates that the 2023 base model has around 39 percent slower reads and 20 percent slower writes compared to the 2021 model.
The difference is presumably attributable to chips. According to 9to5Mac, the 512GB SSD in the previous-generation 14-inch model has four NAND storage chips, however the SSD in the M2 Pro appears to have only two.&nbsp;
Those are plainly higher-capacity chips, so although the computers have the same amount of storage, their performance is diminished since they cannot parallelize reads and writes as efficiently.

The new M2 Pro and M2 Max chipsets promise 20 percent faster CPU and 30 percent faster GPU performance than the previous generation M1 versions.

The 14-inch MacBook Pro starts at ₹1,99,900 and will include an M2 Pro CPU with 10 CPU cores. The standard RAM capacity is 16GB, although this may be increased to 32GB. You also get a 512GB SSD that can be upgraded to 1TB, 2TB, 4TB, or 8TB.
A 12-core M2 Pro CPU with eight performance cores and four efficiency cores, as well as a 19-core GPU, is available for ₹2,49,900. Although 16GB of RAM is still standard, you get a 1TB SSD with this version.
The M2 Max version of teh 14-inch model has a 32-core GPU. Its RAM is limited to 32GB, while memory bandwidth is increased from 200GBps to 400GBps. In India, this option would cost ₹3,09,900.
Prices for the 16-inch variant begin at ₹2,49,900 for the 12-core M2 Pro with a 19-core GPU, 32GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD.
For ₹2,69,900, a pre-configured variant with a 1TB SSD is available. The 12-core M2 Max CPU features a 38-core GPU but otherwise has the same characteristics as its smaller sibling and is priced at ₹3,49,900.
Custom configurations with up to 96GB of RAM are available for ₹80,000 more than the 32GB version. Also, 8TB of storage costs ₹2,20,000 more than a device with 1TB as standard. These components cannot be upgraded after purchase.

As supporting evidence, Gurman cites Apple's most recent earnings call. Tim Cook told analysts earlier this week that the company's holiday product lineup was all set.
Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri provided even more evidence, stating that he anticipated Mac revenue to "drop significantly" in December, in part because there are no new MacBook Pros to increase sales.

According to report from Mark Gurman in Bloomberg, Apple is all set to unveil new MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac Mini models at their rumoured March 8 spring launch event. The new Mac models would all be powered by the upcoming Apple M2 chip, the successor to the Apple M1.
The same event is likely to see the launch of the 2022 iPhone SE with 5G support, and a new iPad Air.
Gurman says that Apple is now entering the third phase of its transition from Intel&rsquo;s x86-based processors to ARM-based Apple Silicon chipsets. He expects Apple to launch new Mac models based on the new Apple M2 chip, and a super-powered version of the M1 Max chipset, along with the current M1, M1 Pro, and M1 Max offerings.
Apple could also launch a second wave of Mac models around May or June. In total, Gurman expects Apple to launch multiple models of MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac mini, and iMac Pro in 2022.
