The winner of the historic $2.04 billion 'Powerball' jackpot is now the owner of a plush mansion in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills where celebrities like Jimmy Kimmel, and Ariana Grande also reside, according to media reports.
Edwin Castro, who won the world's largest lottery prize in November 2022 bought the five-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion for $25.5 million in a real estate sale early this month.
The sale is reportedly&nbsp;the most expensive deal in Hollywood Hills so far this year.
Castro's luxurious mansion has amenities like an infinity pool, movie theatre, and gym among others.&nbsp;
After winning the jackpot, Castro wanted to stay out of the spotlight, according to a report by The Guardian. However, officials have now revealed his identity but his other details such as occupation, age, and address have been kept confidential in line with his demands.
He reportedly refused to appear for a press conference and officials published his name while reading a statement on his behalf at an event. The statement read, &ldquo;I am shocked and ecstatic to have won the Powerball drawing.&rdquo;
Castro's winning ticket matched all five winning numbers and the Powerball number when he bought the ticket at a store in Los Angeles last year.
He collected the winning amount as a lump sum of over $997.6m instead of choosing to collect the full prize in the form of an annuity of over 29 years.

The name of United States's Powerball jackpot winner, who won a whopping $2.04 billion has been disclosed.
California's Edwin Castro who won the jackpot in November 2022 wanted to stay out of spotlight, according to a report by The Guardian. However, officials have now revealed his identity but his other details such as occupation, age, address have been kept confidential in line with his demands.

Ajay Ogula, a Dubai-based driver from India, won a prize worth Dh15 million, INR ₹33 crore, in the Emirates Draw.
After winning the lottery prize, Ogula said, "I still cannot believe I hit the jackpot", reported UAE daily, Khaleej Times.
Ogula, who hails from a village in southern India, came to the UAE four years ago in pursuit of greener pastures. Currently working as a driver at a jewellery firm, he earns Dh3,200 ( ₹71,968) every month, Khaleej Times reported.
"I will continue building my charity trust with this amount. This will help many people get the basic needs in my hometown and neighbouring villages," said Ogula.
He said when he broke the news to his family in India of him hitting the jackpot and becoming a millionaire, his mother and siblings did not believe him.
"They will have to believe it now as I will be in the news," Khaleej Times quoted Ogula as saying.

He has now scrapped his plans to go to Malaysia. With the massive winnings, Anoop said that he will pay off his debts, build a house, help his relatives, do charity, and start some hotel-related work.
Anoop said that he has been buying lottery tickets for the last 22 years and has won amounts ranging from a few hundreds to a maximum of ₹5,000.
