All shops in Lajpat Nagar&rsquo;s Central Market and Rui Mandi in Sadar Bazar wholesale market ordered shut for violating Covid&nbsp;protocol

The Delhi government on Monday ordered all shops to be shut in Lajpat Nagar&rsquo;s Central Market and Rui Mandi in Sadar Bazar wholesale market over alleged violation of Covid-19 safety protocols.
As on Monday, six markets in the national capital have been shut for not adhering to Covid protocols.
On Saturday, the Punjabi Basti and Janata market in Nangloi area were closed till Tuesday for violation of Covid-appropriate behaviour, an official order said. Twelve shops in Shahdara's Gandhi Nagar market have also been shut from July 4 to 12.
Officials warned if any shopkeeper is found violating the order necessary action will be taken against them.

'Mosquito Terminator' train flagged off from New Delhi Railway Station

A special mosquito terminator train was flagged off from the New Delhi Railway Station to control the spread of vector-borne diseases.

A special mosquito terminator train was flagged off from the New Delhi Railway Station on Friday.&nbsp;
Jointly flagged by the Northern Railway and the South Delhi Municipal Corporation, the objective is to&nbsp;spray insecticide on both sides of the tracks to prevent the growth of larvae and control vector-borne diseases.&nbsp;
A truck placed over the train will spray insecticide, covering an area within the 50-60 metre range on either sides of the rail tracks. The move will also provide relief to a number of families, living in clusters along the tracks.
 Insecticides will be sprayed for 10 days between the 30th of August and 20th of October and will cover areas like Hazrat Niazamuddin, Lajpat Nagar, Lodi Colony, Delhi Safdarjang, Patel Nagar among others.
