Veteran actor Krishna's funeral was held with state honours on Wednesday, November 11, after many prominent personalities and fans paid their last respects.&nbsp;
 Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Reddy, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar and renowned Telugu actor N Balakrishna were among many who paid homage to the veteran actor at the Mahaprasthanam crematorium in Jubilee Hills.&nbsp;
 Many fans had also arrived to bid final adieu to the superstar.&nbsp; Krishna passed away on November 15 in a Hyderabad hospital where he was undergoing treatment for cardiac arrest. He was 79.&nbsp;

Veteran Tollywood actor and father of Mahesh Babu, Krishna, who had suffered a cardiac arrest, passed away in Hyderabad on Tuesday morning.

Veteran Tollywood actor Krishna, who had suffered a cardiac arrest, passed away in Hyderabad this morning. He was brought to the emergency department of the Continental Hospital on Monday in an unconscious state and was revived within 20 minutes after CPR was performed by doctors.

Krishna, originally Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, had acted in more than 300 films in his three-decade-long illustrious career. Krishna&rsquo;s last on-screen outing was in 2016 with the Telugu film, &lsquo;Sri Sri&rsquo;. He was also a renowned director and producer.
Krishna was honored with Padma Bhushan in 2009.
Krishna had joined the Congress in the 1980s but quit politics after former PM Rajiv Gandhi's death.&nbsp; Krishna&rsquo;s first wife and Mahesh Babu&rsquo;s mother Indira Devi died in October after suffering from a prolonged illness. His elder son Ramesh Babu died in January this year. Actor Vijaya Nirmala, his second wife, had died in 2019.&nbsp;

As per a statement issued by the hospital, Krishna has been put on a ventilator.

Telugu superstar and actor Mahesh Babu&rsquo;s father Krishna has been admitted to Continental Hospital in Hyderabad after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was rushed to the hospital around midnight in an unconscious state and was revived within 20 minutes after CPR was performed by doctors. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where he will be monitored for the next 24 hours.
