As the nation is mourning the demise of popular singer KK, a report in Times of India has shared the details of his autopsy examination.
The police sources told Times of India that a fatty layer was found around KK's heart in the examination and the valves were found stiff. Multiple medicines were found in KK's body, including antacids, syrups that give relief in case of acidity, heartburn and gas, and Vitamin C, the police sources informed Times of India.
'It was learnt that KK frequently used to pop in antacid pills. On the morning of May 31, he told his manager that he was low on energy. On that night, hours before his death, he had told his wife that his shoulder and arms were paining,' said the police source.
The Times of India report mentions that KK's postmortem and viscera reports will further be sent for histopathological tests, a study of tissues that can reveal blockages.

'The song is very special. It’s written by Gulzar saab and sung by KK. And it is possibly going to be his last song for a film at least,' he said.

The West Bengal government has given a gun salute to popular singer KK a day after his sudden demise. The proceedings were supervised by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. KK's body was kept at Rabindra Sadan where fans paid tribute to the singer.
His family will be taking his mortal remains to Mumbai today.
KK died shortly after performing at a concert in Kolkata's Nazrul Manch auditorium. He was rushed to CMRI hospital where he was declared dead upon arrival. The singer reportedly suffered a heart attack and died on the way to the hospital.
KK, who gained stardom in the late 1990s, was best known for hit songs, like 'Pyaar ke pal' and 'Yaaron'.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is demanding an impartial probe in to the death of singer KK who died after a live performance in West Bengal capital Kolkata.
BJP state spokesperson Samik Bhattacharya said there should be an impartial investigation into the case as there was a complete lapse on part of the administration to ensure proper security arrangement.
His remarks come amid allegations mismanagement of the authorities of the Nazrul Mancha, the south Kolkata auditorium, where singer KK performed for the last time before he died of a heart attack.
The BJP leader said the stadium was packed beyond its capacity and there was no VIP security arrangement which should have been there for KK. While the stadium can house 3,000 people, around 7,000 people were crammed into the space.
Trinamool general secretary Kunal Ghosh said BJP should stop its vulture politics over this unfortunate incident.

Celebs and fans expressed their deepest and heartfelt condolences to the singer.
Speaking exclusively to Editorji, Karan Oberoi said, "What a talent! What a voice! And more importantly, what a human being. Simple, affable, no attitude and a family man. He was not interested in anything other than his art and loved ones. I remember meeting him for the first time during a reality show. He was such a sweet man that he couldn't say a bad word about any contestant. In fact, he was one of the only judges who went on record to say that the contestants were better than him, so he was in no position to judge them."
The singer's family has now reached Kolkata. As per reports, the postmortem for KK's body will be conducted at Kolkata's SSKM hospital.

Those who attended the concert immediately started sharing videos from the event. These posts included video clips of KK singing songs like 'Abhi abhi toh mile dil', 'Dil ibadat', 'Ankhon mein teri" and a few others. 
Reports state that after his performance in the college fest, KK immediately returned to his hotel as he was feeling unwell. The organisers of the event rushed the popular singer to CMRI hospital in West Bengal’s capital city where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The 53-year-old singer is survived by his wife and two kids. KK has sung many smash hit tracks which include 'Yaad aayenge ye pal', 'Tadap tadap', 'Khuda jaane', 'Aankhon Mein Teri' and many others.
