Kim Kardashian West along with several other celebrities announced on Tuesday that they are &ldquo;freezing&rdquo; their Facebook and Instagram accounts for one day to protest the spread of hate speech and misinformation on these platforms. The protest, a part of the Stop Hate for Profit campaign will be held on Wednesday.
The protest gained widespread attention with a tweet from Kim Kardashian, who has one of the largest followings on Instagram. She tweeted saying she could not &lsquo;sit by and stay silent while these platforms continue to allow the spreading of hate, propaganda and misinformation&rsquo;.
