<p>Two-time Olympic 800m champion David Rudisha survived a plane crash in south-east Kenya on Saturday.</p>
<p>Rudisha was pictured alongside the plane which was upside down in a field.</p>
<p>The 33-year-old escaped unharmed and described the crash as a "scary episode."</p>

<p>Indian nationals Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan and Mohamed Zaid Sami Kidwai went missing from Mombasa road along with taxi driver Nicodemus Mwania in July.</p>

<p>Two Indians missing in Kenya since July 2022 may have been killed by a unit of the government's Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI). This claim was made by a close aide of Kenya President William Ruto, according to a Kenyan media report published on 21 October 2022.</p>
<p>Indian nationals Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan and Mohamed Zaid Sami Kidwai went missing from Mombasa road along with taxi driver Nicodemus Mwania in July. They were part of the Kenya Kwanza digital campaign team.</p>
<p>The Indians may have been killed by the Special Service Unit (SSU) which has since been disbanded, as per the President's aide named Itumbi. The SSU was disbanded on orders of Kenya President Ruto on 15 October after investigation suggested its hand in the disappearance of the Indians.</p>
<p>The President's aide hinted that the Indians may be dead, but did not offer proof. The Indian government has been in touch with Kenyan authorities over the issue.</p>

<p>Actor Priyanka Chopra, who is a global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for child rights, recently visited Kenya and shared a video highlighting the water and hunger crisis. After visiting the drought-hit regions, the actor took to Instagram and shared a video along with a long note.</p>
<p>&lsquo;Children are starving to death and millions are on the brink of starvation. This is the face of the climate crisis, and here in Kenya it&rsquo;s happening right now. But, there is hope and there are solutions. Over the next few days I&rsquo;ll be showing @unicef&rsquo;s immense efforts happening on the ground to save lives. BUT in order to reverse this unprecedented crisis, money is desperately needed to ensure the good work continues,&rsquo; she wrote.</p>

A multi-story building collapsed outside Kenya's capital Monday, resulting in the death of a woman and two children.
Four people were rescued, including a child, after the collapse in Kirigiti, said Kiambu county Governor. Kimani Wamatangi. But “we know that there is a man and his wife, and most likely there will be a child, inside there.”
“The building that was constructed here was made in a substandard way,” the governor said.
“This guy built without authorization. He came and applied for permission, he was told to comply with a few conditions, he disappeared, continued to build.” he further added
Such building collapses aren't uncommon in Nairobi and elsewhere in Kenya amid weak oversight, shoddy construction and corruption.

The award organised by Varkey Foundation, recognises the "exceptional" teacher's commitment to pupils in a remote part of Kenya's Rift Valley. Peter wants students to understand that "science is the way to go" for their future. The teacher is known to give away 80% of his pay to support pupils, at the Keriko Mixed Day Secondary School in Pwani Village, who otherwise could not afford uniforms or books. Brother Peter's generosity has won him a prize worth 1 million dollars.
