Actor Jared Leto took everyone by surprise at this year&rsquo;s fashion extravaganza as he arrived at The Metropolitan Museum of Art wearing a giant cat costume. His costume was in accordance with this year&rsquo;s theme &ndash; &lsquo;Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty&rsquo;, paying tribute to the late fashion legend's cat Choupette. Many couldn't recognise him so Jared removed the head of the furry mascot and revealed himself to the cameras. He also did some cute stunts for the paparazzi.
He later got out of the cat costume and appeared wearing a black co-ord set with a cape.
American rapper-singer Doja Cat too paid tribute to Choupette. She donned a body-hugging gown with her face covered in feline-inspired prosthetics, resembling a cat.
The Met Gala 2023 was attended by several celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, Usher, Kendal Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Pedro Pascal, Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt, among others.
The &lsquo;Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty&rsquo; celebrates the work and life of the late German designer who was creative director for fashion houses including Chanel and Fendi as well as his namesake brand.

This year&rsquo;s Met Gala will be in honour of the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.&nbsp;

Vogue recently revealed the dress code of the much-awaited event of the year; Met Gala. &lsquo;Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty&rsquo; has been announced as the theme for Met Gala 2023 to honour the legendary fashion designer.&nbsp;
It was also announced that along with Vogue&rsquo;s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, there will be four other co-chairs of the event:&nbsp; Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel, Pen&eacute;lope Cruz and Roger Federer.&nbsp;
The biggest night in fashion is set to return to the Metropolitan Museum of Art on 1 May 2023 and will showcase around 150 creations of the iconic fashion designer.

Tennant, who was the granddaughter of the 11th Duke of Devonshire, rose to fame in the 1990s. In her three-decade long illustrous career, she even appeared in ads for Calvin Klein, Chanel, Burberry and Hermes. In the late 90s, Lagerfeld announced Tennant as the new face of Chanel. Tennant married French photographer David Lasnet in 1999 before splitting earlier this year. She is survived her her ex husband and their four children. As per police, there were no suspicious circumstances in her death.

Jones will succeed Karl Lagerfeld&nbsp;who joined Fendi in 1965 and was its womenswear design chief since 1977, before passing away in 2019.
Jones will take on&nbsp;Fendi duties while staying the creative director of Dior Homme. The British designer will work with Silvia Venturini Fendi, who will continue to be in charge of creating Fendi accessories and menswear collections.
Kim Jones will display his first Fendi collection during the fall-winter 2021-2022 Milan fashion week in February.
