It was reported that Kabir Khan will begin filming the next venture after the release of 'Chandu Champion.' Described as one of Kabir's most ambitious projects, Salman was reportedly his top choice for the lead role.
However, Kabir Khan has now clarified these speculations, dismissing them as a market strategy. In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, he stated, 'There&rsquo;s no Babbar Sher right now,' setting the record straight on their rumoured collaboration.
Fans had expressed hopes of seeing Salman reunite onscreen with Katrina Kaif, but Kabir Khan said, 'Katrina is somebody I&rsquo;ve collaborated with on many films. I would love to work with her again. But it&rsquo;s all about the script and creating material that&rsquo;s good enough for me to take to her. Only if I&rsquo;m excited about it will she be excited about it. Whenever that happens, I would love to reunite with her. There&rsquo;s absolutely no doubt that if there&rsquo;s suitable material, we&rsquo;ll surely work again.'

Kabir Khan is enjoying the attention after success of his latest film, 'Chandu Champion,' which continues to draw the audience to theatres. 'Sometimes you may have a daunting character and you wonder as a director if the actor will be able to give it his all. But when you see this film, you&rsquo;ll realise that his honesty comes across strongly. As a director, that&rsquo;s what we&rsquo;re looking for. We&rsquo;re looking for an actor who&rsquo;s ready to go that extra mile for the character,' the director says.

Reflecting on his own work, which includes directing the hit film '83,' when questioned about his favourite film, he adds that 'It&rsquo;s too early to say (laughs). There are so many films I&rsquo;ve done&hellip; At this point, Chandu Champion is a film I&rsquo;m very proud of. &lsquo;Favourite&rsquo; is a very difficult term. It&rsquo;s like picking one child out of so many children and that&rsquo;s unfair. It&rsquo;s a film that&rsquo;s making me overwhelmed because of all the love I&rsquo;m getting. In a few years from now, if I look back, it may be my favourite film.'

Actor Kartik Aaryan took to Instagram on August 1 to share his first-look poster from the upcoming film &lsquo;Chandu Champion&rsquo;.
The Kabir Khan directorial is based on a true story of a sportsperson.
The first look poster shows Kartik Aaryan exuding pride in the India blazer.
His buzz-cut haircut and the intense look on the actor&rsquo;s face give us a glimpse that he has a captivating story to tell and one that will make the nation proud.
Fans are loving this new avatar of the young actor and it has piqued the excitement for the release of the film.

&lsquo;Chandu Champion&rsquo; went on floors in London with its mahurat shot.

The film will mark Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan's first collaboration and the second one with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
Kartik announced the title of the film and captioned his Instagram post as &lsquo;Chandu Nahi. Champion Hai Main. Chandu Champion on 14th June 2024 (sic).&rsquo;
