This indicates, Jio's growing adoption of 5G and Home services as 28% of the traffic comes from 5G subscribers alone. Along with this, Jio's Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) services have contributed significantly to the data traffic.

In accordance with the index methodology, as JIOFIN has not hit price band on two consecutive trading days on September 4 and 5 at NSE, the Index Maintenance Sub Committee (Equity) of NSE Indices Ltd has decided to exclude JIOFIN from various indices effective from September 7, 2023 (close of September 6, 2023), as per a statement by NSE Indices Ltd on Tuesday.
"It may be noted that if JIOFIN hits the price band on September 6, the exclusion shall not be deferred further," it added.
Apart from Nifty 50, the company will be excluded from Nifty 100, Nifty 200, Nifty 500, Nifty50 Equal Weight, among others.
NSE Indices had in July announced inclusion of Jio Financial Services on account of demerger of financial services business from Reliance Industries Limited in various indices effective from July 20, 2023 (close of July 19, 2023).

The National Stock Exchange has said that the demerged entity will also be included in the Nifty 100, Nifty 200 and Nifty 500 indices along with other sectoral indices. In a different notification the NSE has also said that a pre-open auction call session for the Reliance Industries will be conducted for price discovery on July 20 from 9&ndash;10 a.m.
"All the unmatched orders of the pre-open call auction session within the dynamic price band of the discovered price shall be moved to the normal trading session at their limit price", the circular read.&nbsp;

Pre-open auction call is conducted to fix an ideal opening price of a stock for the current trading session. However, if the equilibrium price is not discovered, all orders will be cancelled and the stock will continue to trade in the call auction mechanism until equilibrium price is discovered.
Once the price is fixed, the stock will be eligible to trade from the second session of the block deal window on that day's trading session. Block deal trade is always conducted in a special trading window which is opened for a period of 35 minutes before the start of the normal trading hours.
The Bombay Stock Exchange will also add Jio Financial services to 18 of the S&amp;P BSE indices including Sensex starting from July 20 for three days. After 3 days, it will be dropped from all the indices at the last traded price.&nbsp;
Jio Financial Services will be included in the indices at a constant price. The constant price is the difference between the the demerged company's closing price a day before the ex-merger date and the price derived during the Special Pre-Open session on the ex-merger date.

After receiving regulatory approval for the demerger last month, board members fixed the date at a board meeting on Friday. RIL informed the exchanges of the decision on Saturday, July 8.
The 36 lakh shareholders of RIL, the largest firm by market capitalization in India, will benefit from the demerger since it will create value for them. According to the plan, each share of RIL that an investor owns will receive one share of Jio Financial. In the past three months, the stock has already increased 13%.
In a regulatory filing, RIL stated that "In accordance with the terms of the Scheme, Thursday, July 20, 2023, has been fixed as the Record Date for the purpose of determining the equity shareholders of the Company entitled to receive the Resulting Company New Equity Shares," adding that the demerger scheme's effective date is July 1.

Reliance approved the demerger of Jio Financial Services, the company's financial services division, in October 2022. Jio Financial Services will purchase liquid assets through the demerger scheme in order to incubate other financial services verticals like insurance, payments, digital broking, and asset management for at least the next three years of business operations and to provide adequate regulatory capital for lending to consumers, merchants, etc.

Technology giant TCS and India's most valuable company Reliance Industries have topped the list of the country's most valuable brands, according to Interbrand, the renowned global brand consultancy.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) topped the 2023 50 Most Valuable Indian Brands list with a brand value of Rs 1.09 lakh crore.
Billionaire Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Ltd is at No.2 spot with a brand value of Rs 65,320 crore. His group's telecom and digital unit Jio is also in the top 5 with a brand value of Rs 49,027 crore.
"Celebrating its 10th year, the Best Indian Brands report has become a definitive guide to the nation's brand landscape since its inaugural publication in 2014," Interbrand said.
This year's edition showcases remarkable growth, with a total list value of Rs 8.3 lakh crore (USD 100 billion), marking a significant 167 per cent increase over the past decade. This is the first time the total value of the table has surpassed the USD 100 billion mark.
IT company Infosys is at No.3 with a brand value of Rs 53,323 crore.
"The top three brands alone account for a staggering 46 per cent of the total value of the top ten brands," it said.
Additionally, the top five brands collectively contribute 40 per cent to the overall value.
HDFC is at No.4 and Jio at No.5.
Other brands in the top 10 include Airtel, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), Mahindra, State Bank of India and ICICI.
"This year marks a historic moment, as three technology brands secure positions in the top five for the first time in the past decade," it said.
Examining the fastest-growing sectors over the last ten years, FMCG demonstrates an impressive compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 25 per cent, followed by home building and infrastructure at 17 per cent, and technology at 14 per cent.
The technology sector has overtaken diversified industries as the leading contributor over the last decade.
The top ten brands achieved remarkable scores across three of Interbrand's Brand Strength Factors - Trust, Distinctiveness, and Empathy.
"The total brand value of the top ten brands, amounting to Rs 4.9 lakh crore, exceeds the combined value of the remaining 40 brands on the list, which amounts to Rs 3.3 lakh crore," Interband said.
While the financial services sector still boasts the highest number of brands with nine representatives in the list, the home building and infrastructure sector has witnessed the most significant rise, with seven brands entering the list since 2014.
