Remembering his father, Babil Khan wrote, &lsquo;I realised you loved being a father more than being an actor, and imagine that after being the best actor in the world.

Late actor Irrfan Khan&rsquo;s son Babil Khan, who is currently gearing up for his OTT debut with the web series &lsquo;The Railway Men&rsquo;, shared a throwback picture of his father from the 8th Asian Film Awards in 2014. Along with the photo, he penned a long note which mentioned that Irrfan was even a better father &lsquo;than an excellent actor&rsquo;.
 He wrote, &lsquo;Those eyes that watch a validation which you have already explored to spiritually absorb through internal means rather than the external illusions of self-worth, i&rsquo;d blame your stubborn determination of committing a lifetime to transcending from innate survival instincts to a journey engraved in cultivating your creative &lsquo;intuitions&rsquo;, through means greater than 'understanding and intellect', and yet in your actions towards the compulsion of celebrity you were truthfully eager to live your/the physical experience of the very ironic phenomenon; as if even with the awareness of what was going to happen, you believed in the uncertainties of the known.&rsquo;
 He added, &lsquo;And that for me is the seemingly unachievable mantle I want to hold in relation to the craft of acting; to be aware that a story might have a systematically planned narrative but the magic is the ability to create (through surrender) within the mechanics of artificiality, I want that enlightenment of process so dear in my palms.&rsquo;
 He concluded his post by saying, &lsquo;I miss when you used to look at Ayaan and I with that glint in your eye as if nothing else existed, even after you had achieved more than a man could ask from himself, just in those moments I realised you loved being a father more than being an actor, and imagine that after being the best actor in the world. It makes me feel like I didn&rsquo;t value your concern enough. I miss our laughter baba.&rsquo;

Irrfan Khan’s last film ‘The Song of Scorpions’ to release a day before his third death anniversary

‘The Song of Scorpions’ will release in theatres on April 28, a day before the actor's third death anniversary. 

The Anup Singh directorial also stars Golshifteh Farahani, Waheeda Rehman, Tillotama Shome, and Shashank Arora among others.

The trailer of &lsquo;The Song of Scorpions&rsquo;, Irrfan Khan&rsquo;s last movie, has been unveiled. The film is a &lsquo;story of twisted love, revenge, and the redemptive power of a song&rsquo;. Nooran, an independent tribal woman, learning the ancient art of healing from her grandmother, falls in love with Aadam, a camel trader in the Rajasthan desert. However, even before they can get to know each other better, Nooran is poisoned by treachery which sets her on a dangerous journey to avenge herself and find her song.
&lsquo;The Song of Scorpions&rsquo; will release in theatres on April 28, a day before the actor's third death anniversary. Sharing the news on social media, film trade analyst wrote, &lsquo;IRRFAN KHAN&rsquo;S LAST *HINDI* FILM TO RELEASE ON 28 APRIL&hellip; #IrrfanKhan&rsquo;s swansong #TheSongOfScorpions [#Hindi film] will release in #India on 28 April 2023, as a salute to the great actor who passed away on 29 April 2020.&rsquo;

The film had its world premiere at the 70th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland on August 9, 2017. Now, six years later, it will be finally released in India.

In an exclusive conversation with news agency PTI, the actor said, "I don&rsquo;t want to define myself because I am too young and inexperienced to know what I want or what I want to explore. I keep my mental state such that I am ready to adapt and explore&hellip; To see how I am changing, and growing. I am here to explore everything. I am too young to know what I want to do."
Talking about his experience working with his late father Irrfan, he said, "I was raised on a film set. I would visit him on sets of Thank You, Talvar. On Qarib Qarib Singlle, I was a camera intern, so I watched him closely."
"Without knowing, your mind grasps experiences and it plays in a subconscious state. I would not say that I sat down and analysed him. I was learning just by watching him," he concluded.

Irrfan Khan's son Babil Khan made his Bollywood debut with the Netflix movie &lsquo;Qala&rsquo;, directed by Anvita Dutt. A special screening of the film was held on Wednesday, where Babil met actor Tabu, Irrfan&rsquo;s frequent collaborator and friend.
A video from the event is going viral on the internet in which Babil is seen running towards Tabu and giving her a tight hug. She, too, is unable to control her happiness upon meeting him and looked emotional as she embraced him.
Irrfan's fans got emotional after seeing the duo together.

Actor Babil Khan, who is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the Netflix film 'Qala', has said that he is not a fan of the words 'debut' or 'launch' in a recent interview. He added that if he was not Irrfan Khan&rsquo;s son, nobody would have cared about his debut.
In an exclusive conversation with Film Companion, Babil said, ' If I was not Irrfan Khan&rsquo;s son, nobody would have cared about my debut. I would have been just an actor trying to get into films, auditioning, and maybe getting a part. Getting recognised through your work is so much greater than inheriting recognition. I feel like the word &lsquo;debut&rsquo;, and &lsquo;launch&rsquo;, these things always make the individual greater than the story and the film.&rsquo;
'From the get-go, I wanted to honour my mother&rsquo;s upbringing. When I got the film I was happy that I was playing a supporting character to a female-led film, it was very important to me, I don&rsquo;t feel easy at all and makes me very uncomfortable. Why would an artist want that? I just don&rsquo;t know. It&rsquo;s not me. It kind of hurts me, a little bit,' he concluded.

Late actor Irrfan Khan&rsquo;s son Babil will be making his screen debut with writer-filmmaker Anvitaa Dutt&rsquo;s &lsquo;Qala&rsquo;. According to the news agency PTI, at the film&rsquo;s trailer launch event, Babil was asked what qualities of his father he would like to take forward in his career. To this, he replied that his father took his qualities with him, and now he&rsquo;ll explore his own.
Babil started shooting for the forthcoming Netflix film, a few months after his father <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/tabu-feels-she-changed-a-lot-after-working-with-irrfan-khan-1663910628260">Irrfan </a>passed away in April 2020 after battling a neuroendocrine tumour.
At the trailer launch, Babil acknowledged that he is under a &lsquo;lot of pressure&rsquo; and it would overwhelm him and scare him, but now it motivates him to do better and work.
&lsquo;Two years ago, when we were shooting, that time also the pressure was there. It would overwhelm me, it would scare me but now it motivates me to do better and work. The definition of pressure has changed now,&rsquo; he said.
Babil was also asked how he plans to chart his journey, and he said he will improvise with what life throws at him. Babil added wants to explore everything, and do all kinds of films and play all kinds of characters.

In an exclusive interview with Film Companion, talking about the late actor, the 'Haider' actor said, 'He affected me a lot and I changed a lot after working with him. It’s like those people who come into your life and redefine it and make you see things differently. I learnt to be completely true to my characters and myself and bring that to my work.'
'I can’t even start to say what he meant to me, but I can say what I shared with Irrfan on-screen, I don’t know if I can and if I have shared that with anybody and that’s for everyone to see'; the actor added.
The actor has also talked about Ajay Devgan and He is a 'completely different human being' while directing a movie. 
She said, 'He (Devgn) enters a completely different zone when he is directing. Nothing exists around him. You can walk past him and he will be unaware and that is because he enjoys directing so much.'
On the work front, Tabu has recently wrapped up the shooting of 'Bholaa'. She also has 'Kuttey', 'Khufia' in her pipeline.

Katrina kissed the actor on the cheek after he won the award. 
Ahead of the event, Katrina was questioned about her hush-hush wedding. Speaking with Zoom, she said that more than trying to keep their wedding private, they were restricted by Covid-19. She mentioned that her family has been personally affected by the virus and it was something they had to take seriously. 
She further added, ‘I think this year it’s been a lot better, but it was something that we wanted to really be cautious of, but the wedding was beautiful. I think we are both very happy.’

Actor -turned-film critic Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai after he complained of chest pain hours after being arrested.
He was apprehended at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday morning over his controversial tweets on late actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan in 2020, and sent to a 14-day judicial custody by Borivali court.An FIR was filed against him based on a complaint by Yuva Sena leader Rahul Kanal on April 30, 2020. The complainant alleged that KRK's tweets on the late Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor allegedly spread hatred.
‘He came into Bollywood with a movie named 'Deshdrohi' and is really acting like one. Even when the world is going through a pandemic, I can't understand his inhumane behaviour and spreading hatred in all spheres of life.’, he said in his complaint.
‘After Irrfan Khan, who is India's pride, passed away, he was making poor claims and statements on him. He was also talking rubbish about senior actor late Rishi Kapoor also,’ he added.

 He was apprehended at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday morning over his controversial tweets on late actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan in 2020, and sent to a 14-day judicial custody by Borivali court. An FIR was filed against him based on a complaint by Yuva Sena leader Rahul Kanal on April 30, 2020. The complainant alleged that KRK's tweets on the late Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor allegedly spread hatred.

 Anup Singh, who directed Irrfan Khan in the critically-acclaimed film ‘Qissa: The Lonely Ghost’, has announced a special book on the actor 's 54th birthday as a tribute to the late star.
 Titled 'Irrfan: Dialogues with the Wind', Singh said that the book may have emerged from ‘trimendous grief’ but it is ultimately a celebration of the life and art of Irrfan. 
Singh's book will also offer an intimate glimpse into the working relationship between a director and an actor as they trudge through mutual wariness, uncertainties, and blunders to a friendship founded firmly in creativity.
The memoir also carries a foreword by Amitabh Bachchan who was the late actor's co-star in ‘Piku’. 
Published by Copper Coin, the book will be officially released on February 14, 2022.
