In a shocking incident that has left many horrified, a doctor in Mumbai found a piece of a human finger in an ice cream cone his sister had ordered online. The incident took place in Malad, a suburban area of Mumbai, when a woman used the grocery delivery app to order ice cream along with other items.
The Malad resident, Dr. Orlem Brendan Serrao, 27, had eaten half of his butterscotch ice cream when he felt something unusual on his tongue. On closer inspection, he was horrified to find that it was a human finger.
Serrao&rsquo;s sister, who had placed the order, immediately contacted the police. An initial investigation confirmed that the object in the ice cream was indeed a human finger. The police have since sent the finger for forensic analysis to gather more details.
Authorities are treating the matter with utmost seriousness. They plan to search the facility where the ice cream was manufactured and packed. "We have taken it up seriously," a police official told the Free Press Journal.

&ldquo;Sensory characteristics like a cooling effect on our tongue, the flavour, and overall sweetness contribute to the positive experience of enjoying this treat. However, once the components of the ice cream start to break down, the cooling effect is diminished. The milk fat and sugar produce heat in the body and when the temperature outside is high, this extra heat will not keep us cool but instead have the opposite effect,&rdquo; Dr. Bohdan Luhovyy, Applied Human Nutrition professor and food researcher at Mount Saint Vincent University explained in a newsletter, according to a report by Times Now.
Not just ice cream, studies say iced coffee and beer, which have for long been advertised as cooling beverages, deplete fluid from the body.

The ice cream costs 8,73,400 Japanese Yen which is around Rs, 5.2 laks (&pound;5,469; &euro;6,211; $6,696). Its ingredients include edible gold leaf, white truffle from Alba Italy and natural cheeses.
A representative from the ice cream brand told GWR that it took over 1.5 years to make it after many trials and achieving a Guinness World Records title made the effort all worth it.

In a bizarre experiment, an ice cream seller in Germany has created insect-flavoured ice-cream. Made from cricket, the ice cream is breaking the internet for its unusual ingredients. Besides cricket flour, heavy cream, vanilla extract and honey have also been used in the ice-cream.
The night insect is, in fact, used for the final garnish.
Thoman Micolino who came up with this unique flavour said European Union's regulation to allow crickets in food is what prompted him to use crickets in frozen desserts, NDTV reported.
He wrote in his Instagram post that he was working on the flavour all winter but didn't reveal it fearing the backlash.
