Famous actor Leslie Phillips died at the age of 98

Actor Leslie Phillips, best known for his roles in films like &lsquo;Harry Potter&rsquo; and &lsquo;Carry On&rsquo;, passed away at 98 after a prolonged illness. Phillips' agent Jonathan Lloyd confirmed the actor died peacefully in his sleep on November 7.
His wife Zara told the Sun, &lsquo;I've lost a wonderful husband and the public has lost a truly great showman. He was quite simply a national treasure. People loved him. He was mobbed everywhere he went.&rsquo;
Phillips had reportedly starred in over 200 movies and TV and radio series in his career spanning over 80 years. He was the voice of the Sorting Hat in the &lsquo;Harry Potter&rsquo; films. He was also known for catchphrases such as &lsquo;Ding dong&rsquo;, `Heee-llo,` and `I Say` from movies like &lsquo;Carry On Nurse&rsquo;, &lsquo;Carry On Columbus&rsquo;, and &lsquo;Carry On Teacher&rsquo;.
Phillips also appeared in Angelina Jolie&rsquo;s 2001 film &lsquo;Lara Croft: Tomb Raider&rsquo;. He was nominated for a BAFTA and received a British Independent Film Award for his supporting performance in the 2006 film &lsquo;Venus.&rsquo; In 2008, he was named Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CB) in recognition of his acting career.

Harry Potter to appear on UK coins. Here's why

The special 50 p coins will be issued to mark 25 years of the release of JK Rowling's 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'

The wizarding world of Harry Potter is a gift that keeps on giving and it all started 25 years ago when the &lsquo;Harry Potter and the Philosopher&rsquo;s Stone&rsquo;, the first book in the series, released.&nbsp;
Since then there have been Harry Potter plays, musicals, t-shirts, mufflers, jumpers, wands &ndash; the merchandising list is unending.&nbsp;
And now the Royal Mint, United Kingdom&rsquo;s official coin maker, has announced a special set of coins featuring &lsquo;the boy who lived&rsquo; to celebrate 25 years of the &lsquo;The Philosopher&rsquo;s Stone&rsquo;.&nbsp;
The first of the coins with a portrait of Harry Potter has already been released.&nbsp;
There will be 4 coins of 50 pence, one featuring Harry Potter and 3 more reportedly featuring Albus Dumbledore, Hogwarts school and the Hogwarts Express.&nbsp;
The Royal Mint on its website stated, "Beginning with the boy wizard himself, our spellbinding collection celebrating the magical world of the Harry Potter stories marks the first time Harry Potter has appeared on UK coins."
The website also says that &lsquo;a special design feature showing a lightning bolt and the number &lsquo;25&rsquo; will appear on selected editions of the coin when it is moved&rsquo;
The four-coin collection will feature coinage portraits of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Majesty The King.
The Royal Mint expects to release another coin in 2022 and the remaining two in 2023.&nbsp;

Robbie Coltrane, the baby-faced comedian and character actor whose hundreds of roles included a crime-solving psychologist on the TV series "Cracker" and the gentle half-giant Hagrid in the "Harry Potter" movies, has died. He was 72.
Coltrane's agent Belinda Wright said he died Friday at a hospital in his native Scotland, and did not immediately offer other details. She called him "forensically intelligent" and "brilliantly witty" in just one of many tributes made to him.
"Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling, who decades ago had said Coltrane was her first choice to play Hagrid, tweeted Friday that he was "an incredible talent, a complete one off." "I was beyond fortunate to know him, work with him and laugh my head off with him," she wrote.

More recently, he received rave reviews for playing a beloved TV star who may harbour a dark secret in the 2016 miniseries "National Treasure." On Friday, his "Nuns on the Run" co-star Eric Idle tweeted that he had been talking about Coltrane, "wondering where he was," when he learned of his death.
"Such a bright and brilliant man. A consummate actor, an extraordinarily funny comedian and an amazing actor. He was also a very good friend," Idle wrote.
Wright said Coltrane is survived by his sister Annie Rae, his ex-wife Rhona Gemmell and his children Spencer and Alice.&nbsp;

In between filming the series, Emma appeared in ‘Ballet Shoes’ (2007) and voiced a character in ‘The Tale of Despereaux’ (2008). At the age of fifteen, Watson became the youngest person to appear on the cover of Teen Vogue magazine. During the Harry Potter reunion special titled 'Return to Hogwarts', Watson recalled that she ‘fell in love’ with her co-star Tom Felton. However, the duo were not romantically involved.

James Andrew Eric and Oliver Martyn John Phelps play the troublesome elder brothers of Ron Weasley in the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise. ‘Harry Potter and Sorcerer's Stone’ was both actors' first film.  
After the ‘Harry Potter’ series, the twins continued to act in films. The brothers also have a podcast called ‘Normal Not Normal’ (previously known as ‘Double Trouble’).
